Drove up here to pick up a package-- completely closed no one here ....ridiculous no sign or notice

1-Opening on time 2-staff attitude & tone 3-training & communication... the postal person stuffed a package in the small box instead of leaving a key & putting it in the larger box... I kindly left a note saying "Hi Postal Person" "hope you are doing well, I appreciate all you do...etc... I can't get the package out... they would not put it in the bigger box & leave a key. They continue to put mail in on top of my note...they would not remove it. Everyday for 2 weeks I would go into this post office on My Way to MY JOB, they will open late then have attitude cause people outside waiting! Then move without a sense of urgency after we the customer been waiting for them to open...If a staff doesn't know something, why can't they ask someone in charge?- instead of just saying I don't know & on to the next customer. I had to resort to sitting in my car to wait for them to show up on a Saturday just to get my dammm package out the mailbox they shoved in that tiny mailbox... I understand times are hard & people are unhappy BUT to be spiteful & demonstrate unprofessional behavior...is uncalled for!.. this is why people prefer to have things delivered thru Amazon which I'm sure, became a result of bad postal service! read more

This post office needs to me seriously improved. They managed to mark my government issued document as delivered when I never received it nor in the mail box not at my door step. Asking they to check for is a total waist of time. Talked to the delivery manager in person and they promised to call back and never did. I contacted the USPS call center which told me that they will have the local post call me, that never happened. This document is hard to replace, cost hundreds of dollars with months and months in wait time. All they tell is to call the sender cause their tracking number says it was delivered. But to whom and where? Pathetic!!! read more

I find it hard to give this location 1 star. Most times it's only one clerk, who is not very friendly and there are sometimes long lines. People always in line who don't have their packages ready to mail. I have also mailed express packages from this location and had to get a full refund twice because my express box did not arrive on the guaranteed date. I now go to Tucker to do my mailing. It's just a much better experience. read more

I was quite pleased with this location. The inside was spotless and organized. There was a line, but it moved quickly. The lady who helped me was very nice...but what impressed me the most was when I asked her if she had any "2018 Lunar New Year stamps" left, she knew exactly what I was talking about. And, she had some! I'm trying to rebuild my collection of Lunars so that was a real treat. This would be my go to post office if it wasn't so far from me. I had to mail a flat rate envelope here because the UPS store by my house wanted to charge $13 for an $8 flat rate envelope. read more

Waited a month for passport appointment for today at 11a. Got call at 9a from postal worker that said they were canceling my appointment due low staff. How is that my problem? The appointment was set so they should be aware and work with what they have. I never been in there and they have been busy. Except talking. Do not handle their business properly. No apology nothing. i visited this location yesterday (1/28) because it was the closest post office on the way to the expressway. They aren't professional at all. The young girl at the front who was helping me seemed annoyed and it was 9 in the morning, sheesh! too early for attitude Anywho, I won't be visiting this location anymore. This branch supposed to open at 8:30 I lifted the gate at 8:42 AM and took the first customer at 8:47 then one of the workers were complaining to the manager and how he doesn't wanna work any more than eight hours a day. This literally HAS to be the most pathetic Post Office branch on the planet. I have had packages lost here. When you go in there....there aren't enough agents at the desk tending to the customers. EVERYBODY in line is FRUSTRATED because they have most likely dealt with this nonsense previously. The agents act exalted as if they're doing you a favor JUST doing their JOBS. And DON'T try to call them!! I have TRIED to call this branch (because I have a P.O. Box with a 'Signature On File'....yet they CONSTANTLY put a yellow notice in my box saying I need to sign for something....WOW!)....and they LITERALLY let the phone just RING and RING all day!! This is the closest post office to me but I would rather drive to Tucker to get my stuff mailed. Most of the staff that I have encountered at this location seem like they don't want to be here. They normally don't have enough staff working and it just takes too long. The customer service is lacking. There's been times I have tracked my package and the day it was supposed to be delivered it never was. When I went on the website they said they attempted but that is not possible as I stayed home all day to make sure I received my package. I also requested a package pick up from home online and no one ever showed up. Don't even think about trying to call the local office at 770-498-8405 because you won't get through. I've been trying to call for the last couple of hours and I keep getting a busy signal. So I thought maybe it was my fault and I decided to call the office on Rockbridge Rd. A family member sent money through priority mail for kids Christmas and bills which needed a signature for delivery. Online tracking says mailman was the last person that had the large envelope. It was never received and mysteriously vanished at the post office. The manager was very nonchalant about the internal theft since the priority mail was never recovered. Now I'm observing several comments in yelp with similar experiences. Obviously that Stone Mountain branch has rampant internal theft problem. My wife has escalated the investigation, but unfortunately you have to deal with the Manager of the Stone Mountain branch. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL AND ANGRY SUPERVISOR! I made an appointment for passport services online for this location. The confirmation was sent to my email. I showed up early for my appointment. I was called up by an angry, disgruntled, supervisor. She said "I don't see your appointment in our system" (with a major attitude). I showed her my email confirmation and she got furious! She still refused to do her job and on top of that gave me a serious attitude and said she couldn't help me. It seems like this angry supervisor hates her job and she hates the customers. She got nasty with the lady in front of me too. I'm embarrassed for the other nice people that work there and have to deal with her. I called a DeKalb post office and scheduled a passport appointment there. No issues there. No attitude, just pure professionalism. read more

Since living in this area I have had 3 packages that I've never received. When I go to the post office to see what's going on they gave me the same run around every single time. They can never get in contact with their carriers and they never call you back. If you're ordering a package go with UPS or Fedex. This post office will steal or lose your shit. read more

Horrible place. Carriers lie a out delivering packages because they're too lazy to do their job. I've had Packages were lost or never delivered. They take the phpone off the hook during business hours. Then have an attitude because you're calling about your mail. I will get things delivered to my job in Duluth from now on. By far the worse post office I've ever felt with. I have my business going on 4 years now same location and have lost thousands of dollars in packages not being delivered (almost every Saturday delivery being marked "unable to access business "). I have felt with the last 3 managers all of which state there is no reason I shouldn't be receiving my packages and promise change. I've signed a exception that states my business is in fact open on Saturday to no avail. As of last month I was again missing delivery and when I went to pick up the current manager Dennis, saying now there are no deliveries for my place of business on Saturday because "most" businesses are closed. So now I have to be sure all my packages are to be delivered by Friday right??? Well nope cause now Friday deliveries are being flagged the same. Monday comes around and I call and promised they would be here by end of day and guess what.... you got it my Monday delivery is flagged as in deliverable. So they don't deliver, when you ask to come get them they say they are on the truck and are being delivered, only to still not show up. Wrote post master and they have not even got back to me. Yet the post office 1 mile from me in tucker.... (who I ship out of) are professional, polite and have always addressed any issues. read more

Now the cluster mail-box on the Property Durham Park Townhouse's Now the main-lock of the mail-box will not work properly and the carrier had put in the information to the main office and its has been going on two weeks now and the lock had not been repaired....last night the unit-mail door had been broken into...and as I asked to be repaid for the lost mail in payment of $120.00 had not been paid to me from last Feb, lost mail from the carrier months ago. We can no longer use the Cluster-mail box because the Main Post Office will not do its job to maintain a safe mail-box and will not do the right thing by repaying for the Big-Mistake of losing US-posted Mail. ABSOULTE WORST POST OFFICE EVERRRRRRRRRR! The staff act as if they hate being there and it's almost as if time stands still when you are at this location. Please, someone run out and get the staff some caffeine before they fall asleep while standing. Don't even try calling the Stone Mountain Postal Office because no one everrrrrrrrrrr picks up the phone. Why you ask? Because the phone line is always busy all day, every hour, every minute (it's repetitive, yeah I know). Most of the time there is only one to two people working which of course causes long lines. Save yourself and find another location to do business with. And hopefully my package that has been out for delivery since 8:51am today will be delivered evening tho the mailman has left. read more

HORRIBLE!! My package showed delivered through USPS tracking on 8/4, and when I came back in town on 8/6 to check my mail, it was not there. No key was left. I have received packages from the same sender and I know the package is supposed to be left in the parcel locker, and the key should be in my box. Kirk (Kurt?) who is the mailman that works during the week told me he did not work that day and that he went back and checked all parcel lockers and did not find anything (my package or the key). I started an investigation, and Leticia Avery, the supervisor of customer service (shocking) in charge of updating me with my package, never reached out after that. I had to contact her (8/13). She did no investigating from the time I last spoke to Kirk (8/8, I believe). Horrible customer service by Leticia. Had to pull teeth just for her to give me a name of the mail person (Kim) who delivered my package and for her to let me know they would look into it more. Leticia didn't even think to reach out to the person (Kim) who was in charge of the package the day it went missing (common sense- Why wouldn't she?). I have not yet spoken to Kim, but it's concerning for the fact that I've never had any issues with any other packages from the same sender, and all of my other mail was in tact. Filed several claims and even reached out to corporate and apparently there is "nothing that can be done." Leticia told me she doubted the mail lady stole the package because they get paid too much. Very tacky of her. Clearly, if you guys are able to get away with this situation, and for the fact that many other reviews of this location say the SAME thing, I wouldn't doubt that she stole it at all. read more

This is by far the worst post office I have EVER dealt with. They are the most incompetent employees I have ever seen. My package has been stuck in Stone Mountain post office purgatory for days now and they are less than a quarter mile from my apartment and are too lazy to actually deliver it. I was apprehensive about getting my son's passport here based on the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient and nice my experience was! My appointment was for 2:15 and I arrived early as instructed with all my documents ready to go. The line took 15 minutes but as soon as I arrived at the counter a nice gentleman, Mr. Lee assisted me. He walked me through each step and answered all my questions. I was so pleased with my experience, and his professionalism that I promised I'd write a positive review. I will definitely go back again if I need passports in the near future! read more

This is the most unprofessional Post Office I have ever encountered. I seriously could write a book on here but instead I made a formal complaint via email with Shanea Barnett, an online complaint with OIG, and mailed a letter to the Office of the Consumer Advocate. I plan to continue to write/call/whatever until I receive a satisfactory response. We have rights and people with little to no integrity should not get off as easy as writing a bad Yelp review. I have had to put a hold on my mail now due to my mailbox mysteriously being left wide open with mail in it(everyone else's is locked and closed). Absolutely the worst Post Office in the history of all mankind. The rudest workers you will ever encounter at any business ever, anywhere. I constantly get "delivery attempt" notices when I was there all day. They just don't feel like even trying to deliver it and I couldn't even begin to tell you about the number of packages shipped half way around the world and as soon as they get to this post office, they just disappear. Nobody knows anything when you ask and are pissed you even have the nerve to ask about it. Its mind-boggling the level of unprofessionalism here. I get about 50% of the packages I order. This is the absolute worst post office ever! The employees as well as the postmaster are very unprofessional and rude. I scheduled for a package to be delivered to a local hotel, the day of the expected delivery I received a message stating that the package was undeliverable. I called the post office to get additional details and was told that the business was closed. Hotels operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is always an agent or security guard on the premises. Not to mention it specifically states on the package to leave if no response. The business and residence is in the area complain all the time and nothing never happens. read more

Is it possible to loathe a post office? I think so. Today they cost me $900.00 when they lost yet another package and the paperwork curiously wasn't in their system despite the fact that I physically handed them the package several weeks ago. They are argumentative, and unhelpful. To top it off we have the displeasure of having them deliver our mail since we live in the town. Packages for our in-home business never get delivered, or when overnighted get bounced around for weeks, finally arriving with a note scrawled on it that it was delivered to the wrong address (we pay a premium for this "overnight" delivery with no refund). Regularly I have to hand deliver packages to our neighbors that are stuffed in our box. We ask our business associates to use ups, but when they forget, we pay dearly. This Post Office is the worst...when my main carrier is off i will get my mail around 6:30 are later, and then he is in such a hurry that he leaves my mail box open. I never go into the Post office because the customer service is not the best.....I like the Pine Lake Post Office much better the staff is so much better.Please don't try to call the Stone Mountain Post Office, they will never pick up......they need to get a hold new crew. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER RECIEVED AT A USPS BRANCH! They all have attitudes and complain about their jobs 24/7. I got there at 4:53 and was told that they're closed, when clearly there is time to spare. I drove to 3 different locations before arriving here just trying to mail my little brother one simple overnight package. After the first 3 were literally closed early, i drove here, arrived at 4:50. I parked, wrote the address down on a sticky note, walked in & was told that they aren't accepting any customers in a rude tone by an employee. I tried to explain how i'd been to several different locations today & that the hours clearly say it closes at 5:00 NOT 4:50! she literally walked away from me while i was explaining to her and told me good luck somewhere else, laughing with her other employee.
