I moved here a week ago. This is the 2nd time the lazy mailman wouldn't deliver a small box. In stead of putting it at my door, he puts a "can't deliver, pick up at post office" slip in my mailbox. With no post office address. So I had to drive to the nearest post office to ask what post office to go to. It was 10 more miles away. When I asked the mail people why he wouldn't deliver, they said don't know, and were angry that the close by post office told me to ask why. Today, another slip, no info on where to pick it up. No Internet! If you need to look something up while you are there you can not. Also, address labels and tape used to be free and done for you...nope- you must pay for them now. And be ready to wait in line....a very long line with only 2 people working the desks. In almost 40 years I have never had so many issues trying to mail something. read more

The WORST. They never answer phone calls, and our postal carrier constantly takes packages back to the post office because he/she doesn't want to exit the vehicle. I requested my mail be held and then to be delivered to my home. No mail arrived on the scheduled day. I know I had mail since I use USPS Informed Delivery and it showed 8 items. I tried calling the Post Office for over a half and hour (5 to 6 calls) and each time the call was disconnected after a couple of minutes of ringing. I sure hope they haven't lost my mail. read more

2/18/2018 I have had the need to call this location on two occasions in the past year, but never got through. When you call during business hours, all you get is a busy signal. If you go in person, desk personnel will take your number and promise that the person in charge will call, but, so far, they haven't. Two weeks ago our carrier placed our mail, including a parcel box key, in the wrong box. Whoever got our mail put at least some of it on the bulletin board, but the package remains missing in action. I have patronized this post office for nearly 20 years. I believe the staff, over those years, has been pretty much exceptional. Today, however, I encountered a very unkind employee (wearing a Sons of Anarchy necklace) and was equally disappointed in both the manager and supervisor. I wanted to discuss the way I was treated by the postal clerk, and the manager didn't have the decency to come out and speak with me. The supervisor told me I could go speak to the manager in a doorway, directly in the presence of the employee I was not happy with. I wanted to avoid any kind of confrontation, and only report what happened to the manager in charge. However, the manager wouldn't come away from that area so that I could speak with that person privately. The supervisor suggested my only option was to acquiesce to the manager's insistence that I meet in a doorway, without privacy, and wouldn't ask the manager to come out. Although I will have to take care of business at this post office in the future, when there are opportunities to drop in somewhere else I will certainly do so. I felt like I was in a government agency today. That is not a feeling I have had in my previous experiences over nearly 2 decades at this location. I believe employees are often a reflection of management. The manager today, by failing to fulfill management duties by addressing Issues with an unhappy client, likely explains why there is an employee with an attitude working at the counter. Perhaps he didn't get his beanie baby for Christmas, but to take it out on me and was uncalled for, unnecessary, and unprofessional. read more

Worst post office ever! We've lived in our house for about a year and half and have had nothing but issues with getting our mail and working with this location to resolve those issues. 1. It started when we moved into our house and forwarded our mail from the PO Box we had at this location to our house. I closed the box and wanted to return the keys. The desk agent didn't want to take the keys back because my husband had opened the box, not me. Even though I could show that I was getting mail there too. I had to get manager assistance just to return keys! 2. Then they were still putting our mail in the PO box and not forwarding to our house. When I went to the desk, they said our mail couldn't be forwarded because our address didn't exist. So, I had to prove our address was real. 3. Several months after all that was resolved, all of a sudden we stopped getting mail. Come to find out they decided to start forwarding all our mail and packages to my in-laws in Oracle! This location couldn't seem to resolve the issue, even with the help of a manager, so my mother-in-law went to the Oracle location and they were able to resolve it, sometimes. 4. To this day, we still have mail and packages that are randomly forwarded to my in-laws or delivered to neighbors that have the same house number with a completely different street name. read more

Got email saying order delivered to my apartment mail slot. Went to get mail. NO ORDER DELIVERED. Tried calling local (Oro Valley, AZ) Post Office ALL DAY. THEY WOULD NOT ANSWER THE PHONE- ALL DAY. Had call the 800 number and wait in the "telephone line" to file a case electronically. Holiday business aside- NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE- Failure #1 for customer service. I used to not expect to have a great experience at the post office but since moving to Oro Valley that has changed. I am always impressed by how friendly and helpful everyone is. Even an employee who was leaving for the day took the time to say hello and reassure the 2 of us in line that it'd be a short wait. And regarding wait time I have yet to wait more than a few minutes. When the wait line gets long it still moves quite fast. This is due to more counters opening up quickly when needed. There's also some who comes by to check what everyone in the line needs because they have a special desk that handles basic things like package pickups and purchasing stamps. Bottom line is that I don't mind at all when I need to go to the Oro Valley Post Office. read more

If I could give this post office 0 stars, I would. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Every single one of my packages "delivered by USPS" gets sent to the post office instead of my door, which in itself is completely obnoxious. All other carriers have no issue delivering to my door. AND THEN, multiple times I've gone to the post office to pick up MY packages, THEY'VE SENT THEM BACK!!! The customer service is excellent. Everyone is friendly and very professional. I had to make separate shippings 6 times for my teenage son and by the third time, everyone recognized me and asked how my son's sales were going. This is hands down the best post office I have used. read more

We have a PO Box at the Oro Valley, AZ branch and we just returned from vacation and had the box full of mail in addition to a slip that stated the Post Office had mail that couldn't fit in the box. I waited in line for 10 minutes when one of the employees noticed that I had a pick up slip. She told me to sit down while she gathered my mail. 10 minutes later she came out and asked me what I was expecting. I told her it could be any number of items. She went to the back and again I waited another 10 minutes. She came out again only to tell me that she could not find my mail. She took my phone number and told me she would continue looking and that she'd call "if she were to find my mail". Four hours later she called and left a message that she found my mail, no apologies, and that I needed to pick it up by 5:00 p.m. I stood in line another 10 minutes and someone went to the back and gave me my mail. When I got home I went through the mail and 2 pieces of mail weren't even mine - they belonged to another PO Box. We live in the same area as our PO Box and there have been countless times when our neighbors mail is in our mailbox at home. What is going on with this location? read more

So I really had a bad experience at this post office I had to get a package that the driver wouldn't deliver. The woman who collected my slip wouldn't answer my question and then went ahead and helped the person who was in line behind me.I was also made to wait while someone took a personal call ( what up isn't how you answer a business call ) and I couldn't get an answer on why they accepted a package that they refused to bring up the 20 feet to my door because the 40 pounds is took heavy. I get better service at any fast food restaurant then here . As someone who actually works customer service and the face of a company I would never accept my staff treating someone like this. So to the woman working the pick up counter and to the man who doilied out my package - your absolutely awful . I was mad having to come pick it up my package - I'm even madder now . I dropped a card to be delivered to New York in the mail box thats outside the Post Office on the day after Thanksgiving last year. It had a gift card of $50.00 in it. The card was stolen out of the box the next day. How do I know this? I called the company who I bought the card from and they said it was redeemed the day after I mailed it. I love the US post office and especially the people at the Oro Valley Arizona office. They are always cheerful. They are always helpful. And most of the time the lines are not very long. More importantly My packages and letters get to where they're going promptly and I can't say that even once in the more than 100 packages I've sent in the last year that even one was damaged. I've never had to make a claim on the included insurance or any insurance that I've had. I think the US post office is the best public utility that there is and we should all be grateful that we have such a service instead of having to use it is very expensive other carriers. read more

I have gotten a different customer service rep each time and I have to say each of them are very helpful, patient and thorough. Scheduled a redelivery of a letter we had to sign for. Mail Carrier left a note in our entryway saying we needed to be home to sign for the letter. I was home -- in fact, was visible through the window where they left the note, yet they never bothered to knock or ring the doorbell. How can they possibly know we're NOT home if they don't bother to knock or ring the doorbell? Now I'm on hold with an estimated hold time "greater than one hour." Really USPS? Went to this post office today to ask about the mail that was in my mailbox before I did my address change to another state. I spoke to a guy who has glasses and white hair, he was very rude and had a lot on attitude in his voice speaking to me. I asked if they might have the mail that was in my mailbox before I did my address change (3 days worth of mail) and explained my situation and he only said "your mail will be forwarded to the new address" I asked again in a different way about 3 times what happened to the mail that was in my mailbox before the address change. He said " your mail will get forwarded" my last attempt to ask what happened to my mail was if they picked up my mail when I had my address changed. He said "your mail will be forwarded." Okay yes I get that my mail WILL get forwarded but did you guys get the mail that was in my mailbox before my address change. I kept getting the same answer from him which was FULL of attitude during the whole conversation. "Your mail will get forwarded" Finally he sent me to another lady because I guess he was tired of not answering my question or didn't feel like giving me another answer and didn't want to deal with me anymore. That lady was very nice and explained that yes after my address change they picked it up and it's at another facility that will mail it to the new address within 10 days. That's all I needed to know was what happened to my mail that was in the mailbox before hand. After he sent me away I'm assuming the person behind me was a regular and the white haired rude worker totally changed his demeanor and was extremely nice to the people behind me. Mind you I was very polite and nice when I first Walked in and explained my situation. But when I heard attitude in his voice I gave it right back.
