Excellent experience having my son's passport photo and application processed here. All of their employees were informative, accommodating and understanding within reason. This location is pretty large save always clean. You have to make an appointment well in advance in person/online or arrive by 5-7am and line up to be one of the only 5 walk ins they take daily (without appointment). They do not take walk ins all day. I scheduled his appointment 4 weeks in advance. Both parents must be present to get a passport unless both aren't on the birth certificate and of course you have to bring a legal copy or original. I'm patiently waiting 4-6 weeks to get his passport book and card. read more

I don't know what it is about this location but it has some of the nicest postal employees who are helpful. They go out of their way to try to make things move more efficiently when it gets busy. Sometimes it's just big time busy and nothing can be done about waiting but there have been times when employees look for ways to get the line moving. The self serve kiosk has been helpful and the package drop works too. I have witnessed employees keep their cool and professionalism with frustrated customers. I've only had positive experiences here. This location also seems to be efficient in getting packages out to the distribution facility faster than other local USPS locations. read more

One of the worst USPS's around, and unfortunately it's the only close one. The employees here are not to helpful, will not help you if you need to pack anything, label anything or tape/cut anything. You can bring something in to UPS/Fedex and they will handle and help you all they can. USPS? nope, just wasted a trip there, they can't scan barcodes, qr codes for returns unless you pack it, tape it, cut the label etc.... if you aren't ready when the employee is "ready" they wont help you to check out either... If i never have to step foot in that USPS again i'd be very happy. Avoid this USPS if you can. read more

I called at 11:50am on Saturday was left on hold for 10 min tried to call back now the office is closed my $400 dollar package is now going to be delivered to the wrong address due to senders error or mislabeling. I live 4hrs away I have no clue how my package ended up in Houston instead of Fort Worth. All the supervisor had to do was take my tracking number and contact the carrier I've been working for the Post Office for 10+ yrs I know that management isn't doing anything in the back especially on Saturdays just lazy and unprofessional. I was inside the building at 5:01 and there were 3 clerks inside, one at the door and two behind the counter. One clerk was helping a customer and the other one was standing there cleaning off her area. The clerk at the door asked if they could take me and they said no because they closed at 5pm. Mind you I would have been inside at 5 but there was about 4 people and a child exiting the building. The clerk denied me service even and the customer suggested I drive 35 mins to the post office off of 290. This is the worst experience I've ever had. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I wish YELP was around 15 years ago, where I would have loved to bash this particular branch of USPS and just recently last week, I had to make a dreadful trip to buy postage, and one thing has remained consistent about this branch, and that is " they still SUCK". My son was visiting a camp in detroit, and I thought that it would be a great idea to send him a postcard. With modern day online capabilities, I have not used a postage stamp in over 5 to 7 years. Therefore, I was not in need of a full booklet but just one single damn postage to mail the postcard. Upon arriving, I noticed that the line was out the door, and there were only 2 attendants working the front booth. I remember this ongoing staffing problem over the years. They always had only 2 people working the front desk, and then if one would take a break, another one would show up to replace him or her, but they would never increase their staff to 3 personnel. I remember customers would be upset and I would polish up on my cuss vocab. And just last week I witnessed the same ordeal. I decided to use the self service kiosk. After nearly completing the transaction, the stupid machine gives me a response that $1 minimum purchase is required to use the machine. I was like "F this". Are you F'in kidding me???? I can't even purchase a single damn postage at the post office without purchasing a certain threshold? Wow, unbelievable! So I was forced to purchased 3 stamps to meet the requirement and sent the postcard on. My son arrived back from camp, and told me that he never received the postcard. This was after 6 days of mailing it. Great job USPS. You deserve a F'in emmy! My ex probably had a field day. Fathers just can't seem to get it done! read more

Ugh. I despise this place. First of all, service is EXTREMELY slow. So unless you have an hour or two to spend, then by all means, do so. They're so understaffed and there's just not enough people at the counter. There's 5 counters and most of the time, only 3 are are utilized. I hate it. Lines go even out the door. There will occasionally be some floaters that will come up to you and see if you need help. They'll mostly come up to senior citizens and pull them to the side to assist them. And they can pay with a hand held credit card machine. And while I do appreciate that they look out for senior citizens, but dang, maybe I'm a bit bitter, but I came and waited in line before them and I'm stuck waiting another 30min-1hr. And sometimes what make it even more slow is that 80% of the customers come unprepared. They always come in with unwrapped packages, no addresses on the boxes/envelopes...etc. That really irritates me when people come unprepared at the post office. You should always have your boxes ready, taped, addressed and ready to ship. Lines would go a lot faster if people would just do that! There is a machine right in front of the door for you to use if you don't feel like waiting in line. It's pretty much a do it yourself thing where you weigh the item, put in the address... Blah blah. Exact same thing as being at the counter, except you're doing it yourself. You'll get a hit or miss when it comes to who's checking you out. They can be either nice or rude. I would day when and if they are rude, if probably because you came unprepared, which makes you have to start over whatever you were doing and you either hold up the line or go to the back. This is the closest location and I hate it. They need to hire more people or have more people work at the counter, because this 5 counter and 3 person thing is incredibly annoying. read more

Don't get me wrong, the people here are perfectly nice. However, I think there is a conspiracy here. No matter what time of day I've visited this post office, there is never a wait of less than 20 minutes. Regardless of the time of the year, there is always a line out the double doors and the parking lot is packed. And, in an inexplicable disregard to public service, every time I go and the line starts to back up, it never fails, one of the employees processing the shipment of parcels will close their window and head for cover in the back. Even when I just go to use the Automatic Postal Center, it takes time. When I should be able to take the packages I've weighed, packed and paid for at home and drop them in the box and be on my way, the box will be so full it will get one of my packages jammed in it and I will have to wait in line. I don't need to buy any extra services or stamps but I have to give up and get in line anyway. The clock starts ticking off my 20 to 30 minute wait and I remember why I drive out of my way to avoid this place. I don't think it is something happening to me personally. Obviously, I am not waiting in this line alone. However, I have never seen anything run so inefficiently in my life. I have no idea what the plan is because customer service seems pretty low down on the list. Everyone waiting in line is so unhappy to be there and you can hear a grumble collectively go up from the crowd when they start closing windows as the lobby fills up. Perhaps the grumpiness is because the post office is one of the few places you go with a box of something, you pay someone your hard earned cash, then leave empty handed. Recently, I've taken to just not shipping anything at all if I can avoid it. But the day will come when I have to go to the post office again. I'll need 2 cent stamps or to send a gift. Talked to the manager and the same thing Manager is even more wild and incompetent she told me "this is not the US Embassy and a lot of people have waited longer".. that statement alone is intended to hurt the person who are just anxious to be helped because it was their turn.. it is not about waiting... It is about communicating to us that you cannot help someone even if they have an apt and that you have to finish the line for mail before you can help pasport transactions. Problem number one, these "workers" can't lose their job...so in effect, they could care less about the "customer service" they give. I've been dealing with this location for 10 years and I can't count how many other people's packages have shown up at my house, or the number of my packages they've lost. The post master is useless...the last package of mine that they lost he literally told me "we had it in our possession for 4 days, but we lost it." I find every USPS location to be utterly depressing and I try to avoid going at all cost. The few unavoidable trips to this location for mail pickup or having to send a certified letter, I really have nothing to complain about. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS POST OFFICE!!!! I'm putting in a formal complaint as we speak. They lost my water bill, my MORTGAGE PAYMENT, and a box of cell phones I was sending. I have used this post office for 30 years and have always found the employees to be very polite, patient, and helpful. I drop my outgoing letters into the mailbox inside the building. Don't waste your money paying for earlier delivery services because USPS will not get it there at the time stated and claim it's a rare and unfortunate situation. On Monday, sent a package with 2-day service. It was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. The package didn't even leave Houston until Wednesday. It arrived on Friday. When I called for a reimbursement, I was placed on hold for 26 minutes and then hung up on waiting for a supervisor to be placed on hold again for 30 minutes. When I finally spoke to Jim, he said, in short, sorry but we don't offer refunds. This is the THIRD incident with USPS in four months. Between late deliveries, ripped apart packages, and missing packages, I'm beyond upset and disappointed. Such a waste of time and money. read more

I reiterate everything Shana P said - 2 years later and nothing's changed. I've been here a few times and each time the wait has been about 30 minutes, primarily because of low staffing. I feel for the postal workers since the customer dissatisfaction is palpable. Eek, with such negative energy around them, I hope they practice yoga or something. Maybe incorporate some feng shui in their surroundings. That's some bad juju in there. Because of staff shortages (I'm assuming), the front counter takes care of both postal AND passport services. Since they've only had two people when I've been there, here's how the work splits up: person A is dedicated to processing postal needs, person B takes care of both postal and passport needs. This wouldn't be a problem if the staff processed each one as it came down the line. But NOOOOOOO. The moment someone comes in needing passport work, person B stops taking the next in line and takes care of the passport issue. It doesn't matter if the line is out the door, the passport person gets to go to the front of the line. Do you realize how LONG this process is? Long, long, long.....Long. Do you realize how pissed off people get? Especially those who had been waiting forever? Not good. Yeah, deep breaths. Ooommm Ooommmmmm Oooommmmm. Feel the tree, be the tree....hell, maybe not because your feet might just take root, it takes so long. Here's a recommendation: if you have to send a package, try to do everything online - if you need boxes, you can get free priority mail envelopes/boxes, etc sent to you, you can print out your own shipping labels, pay for shipping online and then drop off the package at the post office. Or, even better, you can schedule a pickup. That's right, they'll swing by your place and get the package - sweet!. If you have to go there to pick up a package, you're pretty much screwed. read more

I've lived in the Copperfield Bear Creek area for 30 plus years. It is hit and miss with this location. But it is the US Postal service. Today I was in and out within 6 minutes. Very acceptable. Postal worker didn't greet me but was pleasant and helpful. ** It's the POST OFFICE people! Marginal government pay, probably a political workplace, understaffed or undertrained and maybe not motivated. Where does the term-- "Going Postal" come from ? It's these jobs. Go in, allow yourself plenty of time and bring yourself a book, MP3 player or cell phone to occupy your time. Be polite to them and smile it may go better for you. Ok, so this branch recently went above and beyond to help me out, and I felt it was worth sharing. I had some prescriptions that were mailed to me and needed a signature. Somehow I never got the little orange card to tell me to come pick them up, and I was getting very anxious because I really needed those refills. It was actually the pharmacy who called and said my prescriptions were at the post office and I needed to get them because they were scheduled to be sent back the next day. At first I was super irritated. Why didn't I get a card in my mailbox? Ugh. So I start calling, panicked, just about every number I can find for this post office, and left several messages at about 4:30 on a Friday. I thought I was doomed and there was no way I'd get those prescriptions. Lo and behold, would you believe they called me back within an hour? AND... the supervisor on duty even offered to stay until I could come get them at 6:30! I am so appreciative that they helped helped me get my meds. (Not as happy with my delivery driver who didn't leave me the card, but they made up for it.) It can't be easy working for the USPS. I am grateful that there are people who want to be helpful. Love this post office. The ladies in the front are efficient and nice. Sometimes there is a line but it usually moves pretty fast.

I don't have a problem with the post office itself, but I am super irritated that I got a note in my mailbox about a package that I had to pick up "at the post office." No address. No phone number. This doesn't happen to be the closest post office to my house, so I had to drive around town trying to find the right one. This is pretty much the stupidest problem to have ever. I found the right one after only two tries, but I still feel like I'm ready to do this on a more advanced level next time. So, instead of leaving a slip in my box that says my package is at the post office, just leave one that says; I HAVE YOUR MAIL That way, this ridiculous game is at least a challenge? Who has my mail? Where do they have it? Maybe this could be a reality show. The point is, put your stinking address on the paper. Or, if you really want to be as minimally helpful as possible, at least fully commit by not including any details and seeing how many people wind up on the 6:00 news. read more

Moved 3 weeks ago, I am still waiting for my mail box key so I can collect my mail from neighborhood box. Mind you I have a mail slot in my front door, which they refuse to deliver to, because "it's the rules". The previous owner of the house had her mail delivered through the door for years! I have requested they deliver my mail through the slot until they get my key made. I am told NO. They would prefer I leave work early & drive in rush hour traffic daily to get to the post office before they close. i requested for a new key and my mailbox lock to be changed because i bought a house in the area. i had to wait almost 4 weeks even though they told me it would be up to 10 business days. i went to get my mail that was on hold and then they said that my key was made the weekend before. they did not call me to let me know it was ready. the guy at the window told me the wrong number to the mailbox. they also gave me other peoples mail that was not mine at all. i hope they didnt send any important mail of mine to someone els... they most likely did avoid this place as much as you can! read more
