The only post office in Kingwood otherwise you've got to go to Porter or the Humble location (which is also a nightmare). Lord help you if one of these employees are having a terrible day or morning (specifically at 9:00 am opening) because they will take it out on you. This location has the worst staff ever with the most attitude. Occasionally, there's a couple of female employees that work the retail counter that are so nice but there is one very bald male employee that loves to power trip if his day is not going so well. Might even lecture you if you're lucky! Honestly, you'd be better off creating labels online and dropping packages into the package slot--if it's not locked. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my package delivery. The package required a signature because its value exceeded $750. However, when the package was delivered, I was not home, and the driver signed for the package without my authorization. After receiving the package, I discovered that one of the items was missing. I specifically requested a signature requirement to help ensure the package was delivered securely and only released to the intended recipient. By signing on my behalf, the driver bypassed that security measure and compromised the delivery process. To make matters worse, my claim for the missing item has been denied, leaving me responsible for a loss that occurred after the package was improperly delivered. I do not believe this outcome is fair, as the signature requirement was not followed according to policy. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed again and that appropriate compensation be provided for the missing item. Customers should be able to rely on signature-required deliveries being handled correctly and professionally. read more

Horrible!! DO NOT GO HERE unless this place is last resort!! Especially for your passport! I took my son out of school to go get his passport. Got there at 8am to "get in line." Other customers didn't really show up until 840am so we ended up being 5th in line. They finally opened up at 910am (they're supposed to open up at 9am) and told us "sorry we don't have a 'certified passport person' who can do passports today, you'll have to come back tomorrow." The worse part about it we heard them talking back in the back since 845 & didn't bother to let us know till 910!! A older gentleman waiting in front of me mentioned this was his 3rd time at this location trying to get a passport. Update: Ended up in Conroe passport office (301 N. The Kingwood Post Office at 4025 Feather Lakes Way is the WORST Post Office in Houston area thanks to two employees who are rude, snarky, unprofessional, unhelpful, and extremely unpleasant to deal with. I realize these employees are protected by a union, which may be the only reason they have jobs, but shame on management if they are giving them great evaluations and not reviewing customer comments. The male employee (Holcombe) needs to retire and the woman with long braids is pathetically lazy. These people work in the "customer service" industry, but need some serious retraining! I had a package coming to me from China (we don't make things here ). it took them 5 days to get the parcel to Los Angeles. then , for 14 days, the parcel went to Irving TX, just 13 miles from my address, to Dallas TX, to Amarillo TX, to Coppell TX, back to Amarillo, then to Claude TX( just outside Amarillo) and finally to Arlington, but to the wrong distribution point, and finally "disposed of" within 10 hours of it's receipt. No notice , no explanation. It was nothing illegal or dangerous, or perishable. just DISPOSED of. Does that mean they destroyed it? was it taken by an employee? I don't know , but it's gone and I'm out $85. I only found out about it when the sender asked for confirmation of receipt. on a positive note my local carrier is a really nice guy and goes the extra steps for us. read more

I needed to use the service at this location the other day to mail a few items and elected to get in line for the counter service. The person that handled my transaction was courteous and I was able to take care of my business quickly once I was able to be waited on. That's the positive of my visit. As for the negative, I was near the front of the line when I first arrived and there was just one employee to handle the traffic which was sufficient at the time. However the employee that was working the counter got tied up assisting the customer in front of me for an inordinate amount of time simply because that customer didn't have her packages ready to go. By this time, the line of customers waiting to be attended quickly grew to seven deep which was too much for one employee to handle in a reasonable amount of time. The employee working the counter recognized this and rang the bell to alert a team member or members working in the back to assist. No one showed up and the counter person stepped away from the counter to ring the bell a second time. Someone finally showed up by my takeaway was there was no urgency to serve customers which was too bad. read more

I was being helped by another cashier. I couldn't help but notice how rude the other cashier was to all of his customers. My cashier asked me to wait by the door and someone would be able to help me shortly. I moved over and waited but thats when the other cashier nearest to the door I was waiting at asked me very rudely to move away from his area and closer to the door. I was 10 feet from his counter but quietly moved until he told me to MOVE a second time and proceeded to talk to me as if I was his child. Worst service here at the Kingwood location. If you need to do passport, go to the New Caney location, they will be happy to assist you with no problem! I unfortunately did my passport at the kingwood location, I had to renew my passport. The first thing the clerk told me was, oh you don't need me for this! And I'm like, how do you know I don't need your help? Can you at least ask me how can I help you? You are the only person that helps out with passports and did you forget you work in customer service? Well anyway, I didn't leave, instead I asked all the questions I needed answered. I had to ask for a photo to be taken because she didn't offer! Also had to ask, what needs to be mailed out and how because again she wasn't courteous to explain. What's worse she didn't even give me the right address to mail it out too and because of her lack of caring and being in a rush, I wrote the wrong address that she pointed out on the application. Because of this mistake, my app didn't get mailed out till 5 days later!!! What a horrible feeling knowing that my personal information could have been lost and mailed to the wrong location. Thankfully it arrived 10 days later to the right address. Least to say I did not have a good experience renewing my passport here and never will do my passport at this location again. Also this place is slow at delivering your packages, I've been getting some packages extremely delayed, even when mailed out 2-3 day shipping. So if you need a package mailed out same day, just drop it off at the New Caney location, they always ship my item same day, just wish they also delivered my packages but I have no control of that since I live in kingwood. read more

I went there last week and the same man that everyone seems to say is rude "assisted" me. We was very rude to me and would not answer any of my basic questions. His continued response was "I can't tell you that ma'am." Well when I told him to just let me go ahead and pay, he didn't like that I raised my voice an octave so that I could speak over him and told me to go back to the end of the line. I said "No" and requested to speak to his manager. Well he kept talking, and I got even more aggravated. Probably the worst customer service I've ever had in my life. Went to get a passport, got to the front of the line, and an employee notified the passport lady I needed a passport. I was then told to go stand in the furthest corner of the room until the passport lady was done with her customer. After waiting for 10 minutes I asked what was up and was told the lady went on break for 15-20 minutes....knowing I was standing there with no other customers. I proceeded to wait 25 minutes all the while I hear these ladies back there cackling the entire time... The ONLY good thing about that entire place is the male employee who was a former marine. He was extremely nice and apologetic, and even got frustrated on my behalf. I want to thank the clerk Rhonda, and the staff at The Kingwood Post Office. I lost my receipt for two items that didn't make it to their destination. The items were send the day after New Years Day with insurance, but of course, with the craziness of the holiday, I must have thrown it away with the crumbled up wrapping paper and unnecessary store receipts . I went in to the post office to request help in locating my information, and the staff, Rhonda in particular, went above and beyond in assisting me locate my lost tracking number, even printing me a copy of the receipt. The research took several days, but I was patient, with the understanding of how busy the post office can be on most days. Our Community mailbox was broken into over two weeks ago. We have to go to the post office to physically pick up our mail. It is challenging to do so with my schedule. I went this morning when they opened and I asked gentlemen working the counter at 9 AM on Tuesday, July 6 when we could expect our mailbox fixed as it was broken into. He told me I didn't need to tell him all of that just tell him my address and he will get my mail. I said I would like to know when I can expect it to be fixed and I understood he may not know , so I politely asked who could I speak to. He is supposed to be in customer service it was one of the rudest interactions and aggressive interactions I have experienced. There was no reason for him to be ugly. I have a hard time believing there is nobody I can talk to maybe at a corporate office to file a complaint regarding a federal offense committed in our community and get a general timeline on when it would be fixed so we do not have to drive 10 minutes to the post office and wait in long lines. When I told him he was being rude, and asked for his name he would not give it to me and his badge was obscured, this gentleman does not need to be working with customers. read more

I have to be honest in that I have not had much interaction with the employees at this location. They seem nice enough though I did get yelled at one time by a lady working in the back. Apparently, she was trying to collect the mail from the drop box at the same exact time I was trying to drop a letter in. Oops. The few times that I've had to take a missed delivery slip to the window to receive my mail have been frustrating in that it takes forever for them to find your mail. What goes on behind the wall where customers are unable to see is anybody's guess. The redeeming quality about this post office is that they have the automated postal center. I love that thing! I can do my mailing at all times day or night and not have to deal with a postal worker who might be having a bad day. It's nice to have a post office that is close to home.
