It was a good experience, a few bumps but nothing major. Today, I needed to get some art prints enlarged so they would be suitable for framing. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman named Tyrone who introduced himself as the Manager and indicated his colleague Maria as new and was in training. I said that's fine and waited patiently for about 15 minutes while the two people in the store were being assisted. After about 20 minutes a lady with her hair wrapped up in a colored piece of cloth walked in and put her box down on the counter while she talked on the phone. Then she started talking to the Manager. I looked right at her and said 'excuse me, there are others that are waiting in line'. She got mouthy and said something like well you can just leave and go to another store. I said to her 'There are rude people who always think their time is more valuable than everyone else' and I walked out. The Manager came out to my vehicle and apologized and I told him I had to run another errand and I would be back. I returned in about 45 minute and the problem was gone and I proceeded to have Tyrone assist me. He as knowledgable, professional and helpful. He apologized for the rudeness of the customer. I told him, he didn't need to do that but I appreciated him for coming out to my vehicle to speak to me. I told him, I have encountered rude people many times before and most of the time I let it go but my New Years resolution is to 'call out rudeness' Name it as such and indicated it's not acceptable behavior, I don't care who you are or where you come from. Believe me people, if you allow rudeness and unacceptable behavior to continue common courtesy and civility will disappear. Thanks Tyrone, you turned what started out as a bad experience to a five star review.

On the one side, it reads "This building was described as "handsome in every respect" when it opened in 1932. It replaced a 1906 post office and housed a new district court and federal offices. It served as a post office until 1986 and provided offices and headquarters for several U.S. Congressmen, including Thomas S. Gettys 1965-75. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, it was renamed in honor of Gettys in 1997." On the other side, "This six-story structure was Rock Hill's first high-rise office building. Built in 1924-25, it opened in 1926 with Citizens Bank & Trust on the 1st floor. The bank closed in 1927. Rock Hill National Bank opened on the 1st floor in 1941 and remained here until 1976. WRHI Radio, one of S.C.'s earliest stations, signed-on with studios on the 2nd floor in 1944 and broadcast from here until 1977. Civil defense used an observation deck on the roof during World War II. [Erected by the Culture & Heritage Museums of York County and the City of Rick Hill, 2007." Now for dropping off packages, they are super friendly and allow you to just drop off up at the front and not wait in line (as long as you don't need a receipt). The location is also ideal as I can always tie it into a grocery store trip when I'm needing to drop a package off! It's nice to not to have to go out of your way!

Corporate UPS confirmed that they gave my package to someone else without the required signature. The UPS store told me that someone came in with an id with my address and signed for the package. I can forgive a mistake, but a blatant lie that had me concerned for my safety is unforgivable.

This store stinks with a capital 'S'. Pretty sure they threw my package out. Wish I kept it and walked out. Here is the worst experience of my lifetime:- I reached the UPS Store (#4939) around 5.40PM on Nov 4 2024 at Fort Mill, SC to drop a package. A man standing next to the machines shouted angrily "GET IN THE LINE". As soon as he saw me he was angrily fuming. I said "I just needed to tape". He said again "GET IN THE LINE". Thinking he might be having a rough day I ignored and went back to the line(3-4 customers). After a couple of minutes he called me out of the line to the machines next to where he was standing. He looked at me and screamed again "YOU DON'T WANT TO SCAN?". I was simply waiting for the instructions and didn't appreciate the mean reply. Meanwhile some caucasian women entered the store and he greeted her with a nicer tone saying "Good Evening". I felt weird by the contrasting treatment but ignored him again. I scanned the package. He again talked in the same tone "LEAVE IT THERE AND GO". This time I had enough of his behaviour directed towards me. As a customer I expected better. First time I talked back and said "I will wait for the package to be sealed". I was returning a phone and in the past ATT has lost my phone so I wanted to be extra careful. He screamed "LEAVE IT AND GO. I WILL SEAL LATER. YOU KNOW WHAT I HAD ENOUGH JUST TAKE YOUR PACKAGE AND LEAVE THE STORE. THIS IS MY STORE AND I CAN DENY SERVICE. I AM DENYING YOUR SERVICE JUST LEAVE". I was completely shocked at the humiliating and discriminatory behaviour. I tried to reason with him by saying "You have not been talking to me decently since I entered the store". He smirked and said again "This is my store and I can deny service. Just leave the store". I asked what his name was. He aggressively pointed at his name tag and looked at his coworkers and said "MY NAME IS HARI" as if daring anyone of his subordinates to question him. I turned sideways to two employees working at the counter to reason with this man and come to my defence. They saw their boss looking at them and simply went back to their work and kept their head down. By this time I was simply lost of words and stared at the worst discriminatory experience of my lifetime. Just the sheer insult has taken me aback. Looking at my plight a UPS delivery driver said "Sir, please come out I can help you". When I was outside he inferred to ignore the incident. He told me about another closest UPS store (20 mins drive one way in the wrong direction). I have ignored the man twice but I can't ignore it again! After this experience I don't think if me or my family will ever be using any UPS services/stores again, a place where I was humiliated and discriminatory denied a service. I will raise this incident to the appropriate authorities. This behaviour and insult of customers is not just appalling but illegal too.
