United States Post Office is like a bad marriage. I know I'm in love but they keep letting me down lately. It took me about a hour this past month to reactivate my online account. I wanted to order more stamps online. I have been having trouble with delivery. They shoved an oversized package into my mailbox instead of giving it to the package room. It was not easy to pull out. One day I had an Amazon delivery missing in action. It went to the wrong address I guess. It was a birthday gift for my daughter a tiny item. I paid $20 with tax and shipping. This item wasn't sold using Prime or Amazon delivery. My local post office did email me to apologize for losing it after I requested a missing package search. So today USPS gets three stars. I came to my post office to ship a package out. I was only needing a few strips of tape to seal up the box. I asked the lady if I could borrow her tape dispenser. All things considered, not half bad. Understaffed, as USPS is (not just this branch), but she was at least friendly and smiles even though she was the only one there. I came on a Thursday at 11:30 am. The location is inside an office building; more spacious inside than what the humble exterior lets on. Clean, quite a bit of natural light, seems well stocked in terms of wraps and boxes. They offer PO box service (a big wall). There was a line but it moved reasonably alright. The woman working here when I went to send off a couple of packages on Wednesday 5/8 at 2:15pm was rude and shouldn't be in a service based profession. She talked to me and other customers as if we were incompetent and I graduated with a bachelors degree with honors. The experience at this location was unpleasant just like the worker who "assisted." As the grand daughter of a former postmaster I know that is now how such employees should behave. read more

Extremely rude employees. Walked in with a prepaid labeled package and had the three women state at me without saying anything. I asked if I could drop my package off and one employee informed me that I needed a mask to be inside. Totally understandable except that none of the employees were wearing masks themselves. If you're going to enforce policy, maybe consider applying it to yourself. read more

This location is very convenient for many offices. It is my go to during the work day. The women who work here are always very friendly and answer any questions I have. I don't expect crazy customer service at a post office, and I appreciate the friendly chat and banter, however as this is a business area post office I struggle with the chatting getting in the way of efficiency. When I come here during the work day, it's hard to wait in a line 10 people deep at 3:30pm when I need to get back to the office. The balance between being friendly and being slow is a little fine here. There is a gentleman who "works" here, but I'll be honest I've never really understood what he does. This is quite possibly the WORST POST OFFICE IN THE WORLD and is staffed with racists. I work very closeby and I dread mailing packages at this post office. Every time I go in to this beacon of government efficiency, I witness some of the most blatant racism I have ever seen (and I'm not one to even notice race normally). The ladies that work here during the day are Black and treat Black customers as if they are buddy/buddy with them but once a white customer comes to the counter, they give them a hard time about everything (even something they let a Black person slide with just a few minutes before). I thought this was just in my head until I arrived once before they opened (BTW they didn't open until 10 minutes after they were supposed to) and had a conversation with an African American lady outside and she actually brought up that she hated going there because of the racism. She hated being treated better just because of her skin color. I told her that was the most refreshing thing I have ever heard. There is ONE exception at this post office. Sadly, I do not know her name and can only identify her as the woman with freckles on her face. She is EXTREMELY nice and respectful and does everything to help customers out. I try to pace myself in line so that I deal with her but it doesn't always work that way. To you, miss, my hat is off to you because are such a fine person in an office of such bigotry and nastyness. I dred going to this post office, but it is the closest to where I work. The employees are some of the rudest most disrespectful people I've ever had to deal with. They act like their time is more important than yours. When you ask a question they make you feel stupid for not knowing the answer (sorry I haven't been educated on Post Office rules and regulations). Avoid this post office at all costs. I just left around 3pm today Aug 9 and was shocked with how rude one of the female workers was with me. I stood in line and she completely ignored me barely looked at me and just went about her business. The young man that works there is always friendly, so I don't have anything to say about him. But I just felt so unwelcome by the woman. She then later called me over after not once acknowledging my presence and I told her she was very rude. She explained she was on her lunch break, so I guess common decency doesn't matter on your lunch break? Thankfully I found another postal office nearby. I will never go to this one again! The employees here are dishonest, rude, and incommunicative to the point that it makes you wonder if their mission is to make everyone else as miserable as they are. They've lied about shipping requirements for packages just because they don't feel like dealing with the package (which I took over to the post office at Connecticut and L and mailed with no problem) and in general seem to think that derision is the best way to get customers to give up on asking questions and leave. Steer clear. Even if this post office is the nearest one to you, it's worth it to walk the extra 8 minutes to the one at Connecticut and L. read more

WORST POST OFFICE IN AMERICA! I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. There were two women at the counter (a lighter skinned woman with freckles - she was nice, this review has NOTHING to do with her) and a larger woman with red streaks in her hair (this review is ENTIRELY about her). So I didn't have tape for my pre-paid box, because in the past, that has never been a problem and I usually ship Fed-Ex or UPS (I now know why). So I saw some tape laying on the counter and thought "oh awesome, tape for my box" and proceeded to tape my box shut. I get up the counter and got REAMED out because apparently I don't know the ins and outs of proper tape to use for boxes (my bad.) So I went to purchase a $4 roll of tape that I will never use again (USPS is obviously trying to pull itself out of bankruptcy by jacking up the price on packaging tape). After a pretty long day at work, I decided I didn't want to deal with that woman's attitude and went to the nice lady. Attitude woman FLIPPED out and started causing an unruly scene. Completely unprofessional. I honestly have never seen someone act so rude and callous in my life. From now on, I will be walking a few blocks out of the way in order to avoid that place and will be sticking with Fed-Ex and UPS where people actually act like professionals. read more

If I could give this post office branch NO STARS I would. Every time I go there the women could not be less pleasant. But today really topped it. I had to send a letter by registered mail to Berlin, Germany. I could not find the right form and they kept telling me they were there but would not show me even though I was the only customer there and there were three workers doing nothing. So for ten minutes I kept showing them the forms and they kept telling me no, it was not that form UNTIL they told me they were OUT of them. They would not check in the back to see if there were any. Then they told me to go to a different post office and sent me in the wrong direction on purpose. They knew they were out of them but they made me look anyways and I am sure had a good laugh at my expense. If they don't want to treat people politely and pleasantly they should find something else to do. They completely ruined my morning. If I treated people that rudely at my job, I would be fired. When I went to the 1050 Connecticut branch, the lovely man behind the desk told me he gets complaints about these surly people all the time. NEVER AGAIN will I go there. read more

Only one person at this location is nice and its the manager with short hair. I work at an office where we send out mass mails at the end of the day. Mind you, all the mail have postage so all the employees have to do is collect it but no they want to have mean mugs and annoyance on their faces. I will just give 1 star because of the manager who always offers me the tub for letters when i get there. Worst service ever and closest one to my work place. read more
