My motorcycle broke down on me on the side of 400 while on my way home from work. (11:30 pm on a Saturday night) I spoke to a lady over the phone, who said it may take up to an hour and a half before someone could get out there. 10-15 mins later Earl Pugh came to the rescue. This is long overdue. On May 31st of this year, I called AAA for roadside assistance as my daughter parked her car on a hill leading down a large ravine. As soon as she stopped the car and put it in 'Park', the car started sliding down the hill. She got out of the car and called me. Not fully understanding the situation, we called good old AAA and they dispatched a truck from one of your competitors. Upon further inspection, with the way the car was positioned, it did not take the driver long to realize that any singular attempt at pulling the car back on the road would be the equivalent to pulling the rug out from under someone's feet and the car would have surely gone down into the ravine. The other driver was professional and concerned about our vehicle; it did not take long to realize we needed a second truck. The police officer on hand suggested United Towing as he knew they had a larger rig and so, in the name of getting the car off the ridge before it continued to slip into the ravine, I called your company. Soon, we had two trucks of the same size and capabilities. Your driver, out of concern for us, worked in tandem with your competitor and it was a thing of beauty. I was referred to United by American Towing but American who certainly sounded more friendly. I eventually got a hold of them and was told that whomever was supposed to be answering the phone had dropped the ball. The dispatcher told me that because of covid, I would be strapped into my vehicle and bounced around on top of the tow truck for 30 miles. I needed to get home and agreed but felt that this was a dangerous prospect. After I was quoted by female dispatcher for $165, Ricky the driver shows up without face protection and told me that I would have to sit in my own car because of covid but continue to talk to me within 3 feet without face protection. He then stated that he could not promise that the front end of my car could be scraped when he dragged it up backward onto the truck. He said if he had to use boards, that he would then up charge me for that. I complained and he backed off. The dispatcher was in his cab with him, therefore I guess there was no room in the cab and I guess they don't believe in face coverings because of covid. I endured a 30 mile frighteningly rough ride down 400 and 285 bouncing around like a ping pong ball facing backward. Wondering if the owners of this company are ok with the big liability of injury or death if a driver and their car comes off the truck into highway traffic....? The driver seemed to have a problem finding my house and driveway despite me pointing it out to him twice while we were literally a house away....??? I'm not sure what was happening there, but critical thinking seemed to be amiss in all points of this encounter. Despite the fact that they eventually got me home, and I didn't die... this is not a company that I would use again and if you are a woman alone and stranded, they don't seem to care about your safety. The next morning, driver Rod arrived on time, in fact a few minutes early, to pick up the car; he was so careful and very professional. Website says that they are open 24/7 every day of the week. However, when going to pick up my car, I was told I had to come during "clerk hours" which is 8am-6pm, which isn't mentioned anywhere. I encountered a reckless driving incident by a United Towing flatbed tow truck (Plate # XCH226) driver who drove on the wrong lane dangerously close for an almost head-on collision. And the driver was so rude when I tried to talk to him about his driving. This happened in a private sub division in Milton, GA around 3.30 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020. A pickup truck was parked with hazard lights flashing on the right side to the tow truck. I was driving from in the opposite direction on my right lane. It's a regular private road with no white lines to separate the lanes. The United Towing tow truck sped between my car and the parked pickup truck dangerously close to me and I had to hit the right-side curb and stop to avoid a head on collision. I was in shock for a few minutes. The tow truck didn't stop. The neighbors who captured this incident on their security camera came to comfort me. I turned around and drove towards the direction where the tow truck was driving. I spotted the tow truck loading a car so, I drove to the side and asked the driver: "Did you realize you almost hit me today?". He responded rudely "I know it was you. Keep moving, I'm working today". I backed up and waited, expecting the driver to come and talk to me after he loaded the car. There were two persons from United Towing and the neighbor whose car was being towed. The driver and his associate never came back to talk to me; they just drove away passing me. I called United Towing at (770) 569-4103 immediately and talked to Shirin. She said there were no managers during the weekend but took my message, promised to pass it to a manager and said the manager will call me on Monday. Nobody called me on Monday so I called them again today (Tuesday) around 2.00 p.m. I talked to Sheri who said managers are busy with other tasks. Couple of days after, Scott called me and asked what happened. I explained everything I wrote here. First question, he asked was do I have camera recording. Yes, I obtained it from the neighbor and have it. He said well, no accident occurred. Yes, I avoided a bad accident by your driver. No apology offered. He said he would talk to the driver and call me back. He hasn't got back to me for more than a week now. I reported this to the HOA so, this truck will be denied entry to the neighborhood. read more

They not only was able to service me but the pricing was very reasonable. Other tow companies either only serviced a particular area or was extremely expensive. Company cancelled towing contract for our community without notice or warning. Drivers would often ask violators to move their vehicles rather than tow as requested. Owner would not return calls from board members as requested. Used to praise their services and even recommend to other communities but I am in process of withdrawing that recommendation for communities and private individuals after this situation. read more

Quite literally the best, most professional auto related experience I have had - possibly ever. I haven't had to call for a tow truck in probably 20 years, so I didn't know who to call or what I would be in store for me when they answered. After a few calls to some of the competitors (one that was like a short, abrupt taxi cab dispatcher), I came across United Towing. Colleen answered and provided a warm, informative call and seemed to genuinely care that I was taken care of. The professionalism continued when Earl arrived 45 minutes quicker than I was quoted. I had to get my truck to a tire shop as my tire was not taking air and the spare was giving me trouble. Brantly picked me up promptly, and handled my truck with care. He even offered to take a look at the spare and help me make that work, but it was a lost cause. He was courteous on the trip to the tire shop and helped make a bad situation better. read more

My 2003 350z was damaged.by one of United towing drivers.I placed a call to United towing and asked for a truck that they off ten use for repoes.they don't damage vehicles .but the driver said that the truck he had would work .I instructed that he should put some boards down so they would work as ramps.he felled to licence to me .with he conteuded to pull my car on to the truck staging the front on the ground.with scratched and broke some of the plastic on the front.and no one at United towing has yet to contact me on the damage read more

They say they are open 24 hours--wrong-- you can NOT pick up your car on the weekend UNLESS you make special arrangements with the personal.. Once you are there and pay 150.00 to get your car, they then open the gate and tell you the area your car is at--- I had to use my key to beep for the location... Once I found my car, I was boxed in by another car brought in after mine- which had a tree branch going through it &b BLOOD everywhere....I was finally able the get MY car out of there.... Now let me say- I was Volunteering for a event for the City of Alpharetta, I parked where they A- Frame told me too.... Way to go City of Alpharetta and THE HORRIBLE MADE KITCHEN AND COCKTAILS... If I could give 0 stars I would. I got into a car accident yesterday and unfortunately this company was the one to pick my car up. When I went to the address to get my belongings out of my car, I found it to be ransacked! Not like I didn't have enough going on as it was! So on top of my car getting totalled, my glove compartment was completely empty. My change holder was dumped of about $5 worth of change that I keep on hand in case one of my kids wants ice cream from school. My headphone...GONE, lighter...GONE, nose/lip rings...GONE, scissors, eyeglass cases (not sure why that was needed). Oohh! Yeah my lunch bag thatconsisted of a chicken salad, yogurt, banana, and crackers...GONE minus the chicken salad, my Nike baseball cap and another cap, and I can't believe they took my engagement ring! So someone had time to sit in my wrecked car, dig through my console, go through my personal items, take a chicken salad out of my lunch bag (keep everything else including the lunch bag), and steal my change!?! I thought that their job was to pick my car up...and drop it off, not rummage through my car as if it was a dumpster. I have yet to hear back from anyone about retrieving my belongings. They supposedly had cameras. I wouldn't suggest this place to my worst enemy! Talk about adding insult to injury...and I will be looking into filing a police report read more
