Mainly: 1) Always a suite with a living area, for more room 2) Happy hours in the evening with complimentary drinks and some snacks (chips, pretzels, etc.) 3) Breakfast is included, and it's not continental. They offer a hot food bar and an omelette station. 4) Checkout is usually noon rather than 11 am. At least at this location it is. This location also has a pool and a hot tub, which I love. Hubby and I stayed here last weekend for his birthday/Valentine's Day and we had a great time. Looking forward to another staycation as soon as possible!

The hotel is large with ample and free parking. The staff who checked me in were very nice (including the trainee) who was very friendly and confident. The room itself, although not a boutique hotel, was updated and modern enough to not feel like a generic motel. It was clean and spacious (and 2 rooms as it's an all suite hotel so there was plenty of space.) I loved that the fitness room was open 24/7 so I could get my steps in even if I got back late. I had a little bit at the included breakfast buffet (which was popping at 8 in the morning on a Saturday.) There were plenty of basic options and the coffee was serviceable. I'd definitely stay here again if I was coming back to this part of the greater Chicago area.

After long delay with our flight and later realizing our flight was cancelled, we arrived at Marietta Suites Deerfield. We were met by Cindy who had extremely friendly and accommodating with our situation. She made us feel welcome empathized with our situation. Her positive attitude and accommodation won us over to become a loyal customer to your brand. Nani at the bar was helpful with recommending restaurants and sightseeing locations while recommending local drinks at the bar. Once we arrive at our room, we were happy to see a clean room with a king size bed along with a king size Murphy bed with many amenities. We were also impressed with the size of the room. After a much needed restful night, we found the location to be situated between business area surrounded by beautiful ponds and walking area. It's also conveniently located near major attractions and has easy access to public transportation, making it simple to explore the city. Although we found this hotel under negative circumstance, we are glad to find it and will stay again when we visit Chicago. Thank you to the all staff especially Cindy and Nani.

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but this experience honestly didn't sit right with me…read more Upon arrival, the front desk staff made us feel judged. We were dressed in sweats and cozy clothes (we're from California and not used to the cold), while others around us were dressed more formally. I understand this is considered a "nicer" hotel, but that shouldn't affect how guests are treated. What really stood out was when I asked a simple question about how long it takes to get the deposit back on a credit card. One of the front desk employees jumped in and said it depends on the card, usually 7-14 days--but then specifically mentioned that if it's a Cash App card, it would "definitely" take 14 days. The way it was said felt very assumptive and unprofessional. I work in sales/finance, so that comment didn't sit right with me. When I clarified that we were using Navy Federal, his tone immediately changed and became much more respectful. That shift alone was very telling. As for the room itself, it did not meet expectations for a hotel that presents itself as high-end. * All four cups in the room were dirty with visible residue and streaks * The bedding had multiple stains, some immediately visible and others noticeable under lighting * The couch had strange stains on it as well * When we pulled out the sofa bed, there was someone else's old medicine wrapper underneath, which made it very clear the room was not properly cleaned * One of the lamps was broken * The sink/faucet had heavy buildup and grime that looked unsanitary (as shown in the photos) The level of cleanliness was honestly unacceptable. I didn't complain during the stay since it was only one night, but it's something future guests should be aware of. The only positives were how quick check-in was and how easy it was to book (we booked through Airbnb, which may also have contributed to how we were perceived). Overall, if you're staying here: * Don't expect equal treatment based on appearance * Check EVERYTHING in your room before using it Definitely not the experience I expected from a place that markets itself as high-end.

There were lots of kitchenette utensils too. There is a fireplace for synthetic logs, and a working desk that faces a small tv. The bathroom has one sink separated from the toilet and shower/bath by a door. The bathroom could have been larger or had a sliding door because the swing of the door did not leave much space in there. They had complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. There was a small soap bar and lotion by the sink. I used the hair dryer in multiple occasions, very useful. There is a full sized mirror. There are also two closets for your clothes. No house keeping, except upon request. The complimentary breakfast gets full with people. They had the standard cereals from dispensers (cheerios, shredded wheat, Frosted Flakes). There were prepacked oatmeal too that just needed hot water added. They had gluten free packaged muffins. They also had a make your own waffle station with the mixed batter and hot waffle makers. You could put jelly, peanut butter, syrup or honey on it. On rotation, they sometimes had either a breakfast burrito or sausage with potato bits. They sometimes had scrambled eggs or frittata eggs. They also had souffle eggs. They also had toast, English muffins, and bagels next to a toaster. There was also hot oatmeal available with toppings. They had boiled eggs and a variety of yogurt. I didn't try the soda machine orange juice or apple juice but I had the low fat chocolate and regular milk.

When checking in, the staff gave us a hand written welcome note, and a welcome bag with water and snacks. It was so welcoming after a long day of travel. The room itself was great. They offer complementary breakfast in the main facility. You have to eat there, as they don't have paper plates. It's typical hotel options. Parking: Ample surface parking.

We're all accustomed to hanging towels if you will reuse. This place goes beyond. Housekeeping is only every other day. That was announced. But in reality they don't do any housekeeping during our 5 day stay. They replaced towels. But there's no cleaning or vacuuming or even making of the beds. That's simply not acceptable. It's not a hotel it's an Airbnb. And consequently overpriced. But there really weird and concerning thing is that the cleaner went through our drawers. I put my retainer in a cup of water with a cleaning tablet inside the drawer so it wouldn't get inadvertently thrown away. When I returned the cup of water inside of the drawer was knocked over spilling the water in the drawer. Why was the cleaner going through the drawer? Nothing was missing- but it's weird and invasive. Finally, on Friday afternoon we called the front desk to order additional towels. The first two calls rang and then simply disconnected. No answer on the third but then the desk called back. It's obvious that they are short staffed. I question the cleanliness because the same stain ion the toilet was there the full 5 days.

Always helped when asked and answered all questions. was able to loan an induction hot plate so I could make one-pan meals. Pan included was very small so more for eggs than full meals for two. Rooms showed some wear but no major defects. Water pressure was okay but not strong. Tv dark balance was off and remote did not allow for adjustment. TVs were 4k sets and fairly large though. Beds were a bit firm but clean. Was a rough night rest the first night but a 30 dollar mattress topper really helped. Just think of it as an unseen add-on for the stay. Not hard, but needed some cushion. Internet speed was reasonable and only disconnected once or twice a day. Worked well enough for the occasional team meeting or call. Pool was heated but not hot. Still a little chilly but if you swam a little it was easy to shake the chill. Gym was small but functional. Some dumbbells one cable machine and 5 cardio machines. Breakfast was very basic. Egg circles, breakfast breads, a couple protein options and a waffle station. Not great but good enough to get you going. It's not a bad hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It's functional and works for the average traveler. There's some maintaining that could be done, and some accommodations could be better, but if you're in the state for work it will do.
