So happy I stumbled upon this gem very clean and beautiful place but it's not all just good looks because the menu is incredible. I wanted to try everything, but I decided on the chicken pesto sandwich and it did not disappoint! Also the house made chips it came with were some of the best I have had. The wide drink selection has something for everyone with a variety of flavors to boot! The real star of the show was the service. The person at the counter was incredibly amiable and patient as I had a hard time choosing what to get. I only wish they were open later than 3! read more

Food was good, ambiance was quiet and serene, and the staff was excellent. Met up with "Our Retirement Group" for an early lunch, and tried the Cafe for the first time. We were all impressed with the surroundings, were not rushed out, and the food was excellent. Must try the Asian Lettuce Wrap and the Truffle Chips, they were so good, the ladies were stealing them off my plate. Will definitely go back again. read more

Been here several times over the last 2 years I've worked in Manchester. Haven't been in a couple of months. In the past couple of months the food quality has changed. Before I'd order a grilled cheese and it's be hot with melted cheese and thick bacon. I ordered today, it came out cold, the cheese wasn't melted, and the bread was overly buttered. It's almost as if the bread was pre-toasted and then quickly assembled. They used to have the best fresh made chips. Today, the chips were bland and overly cooked, which is a departure from the warm ruffled chips they used to serve. Not sure if it's new management/ownership (I haven't seen the regulars I used to order from), but most likely not going back anytime soon. read more

I went here for breakfast. This place is very clean, and the staff were super attentive. I ordered the veggie omelet with no tofu, and an iced tea. Whoever is back there cooking knows exactly what they're doing. Portion was absolutely massive, and unlike most places where that happens, it was done extremely well. The only downside is that the entire meal was completely unseasoned. I absolutely NEVER use salt or pepper when going to a restaurant, but I had to do it here. Frankly, this place is 5 stars, and I'm hoping this was a fluke. There's no way someone learned how to do such an immaculate breakfast, and didn't learn how to season it. I'm going to come back in a week or two and try it again, and hopefully update my review to 5 stars. read more

I decided to try this place today. My wife works in the same building as Unity Café so I was interested to see how good it is. I was disappointed. My wife and I have lunch together everyday and our usual place is closed on Mondays. The place is very open and clean. I decided to order a burger with onion rings. Now they didn't ask me how I wanted my burger cooked which I took to mean you get it how it comes. The burger I received was burnt to a crisp. It was not even edible. The onion rings were pretty go though. All in all I feel like this place is over priced for subpar food. Given the options around the area, I find it hard to find a reason to come back. For example The Local Moose Café up the street is cheaper and has significantly better food that is locally sourced. All in all the only saving grace of this place was the onion rings and friendly staff. read more

I agree that this place is a hidden gem; the place is neat, staff is friendly and I appreciate the various vegetarian-friendly options. I ordered the asparagus omelette which came with home fries and toast. The portions were generous and I didn't realize just how much food I was getting. Sadly, I was too full to eat any of my toast but my omelette and home fries were awesome! The omelette was stuffed with asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes and goat cheese; very unique and tasty for a veggie omelette. The home fries were just right: not too soggy and not too crispy - just a thin crispy skin on the outside of the potatoes which is perfect for me. I also had the English breakfast tea. It was average, nothing mind blowing. The great food and customer service made up for it though and I'd return again. read more

This is my first time getting food from Unity Cafe and I'm genuinely impressed! I noticed there isn't any reviews that give this establishment justice but let me break it down for you! My honey ham and Brie sandwich tastes fabulous! I took pictures of everything beforehand. The bread was toasted the way I like it, full of butter with a light crunch everything had great quality and tastes like it was made with love! The unity chips are WICKED crunchy and to die for! Perfectly salty. A hidden gem is definitely the chicken salad! There's so much flavor to it! My salad dressing has a sweet delicious taste and pairs so well with my grains, the chicken salad and pita bread! The portions to me are very generous! My simple refresher tasted fabulous, the size of the cup is 24 oz so you will definitely get your money's worth! I definitely loved the complex flavors of the salad I received the fennel was an amazing touch. I never knew about this place before but I'm glad I got DoorDash to deliver these goodies to me! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who can appreciate some food made with love and complex lovely flavors! read more

This little hidden gem in Manchester near the River's edge hospital facility and in the Sundial building is the best. First the atmosphere is a quiet and clean space. It's set up for a relaxing breakfast or lunch. There's a little waterfall in the corner and a private area if you want to hold a small meeting there. I can't say enough about their food and they win big for presentation!! Get a breakfast bagel sandwich. 2 eggs on it! It comes with fresh fruit too. You won't need lunch or you could split with someone. I love the 1/2 sandwich and soup as both are delicious and it's just the right amount. I had 1/2 tuna and broccoli cheese soup this week. Yum. Unity Café is right near my office so it's very convenient. It's nice to get off Elm St and enjoy the quiet of this area. Outdoor tables are also available for a sunny day. Easy parking right in front of the restaurant. The menu is very good and the food always fresh and delicious. Just around the corner is a river walk that is pretty peaceful as well. read more

Unity Cafe is a clean, modern, attractive diner inside a renovated re-purposed community college building across from the Velcro Company HQ. They offer burgers and noodle soup bowls with an Asian-fusion twist, salads, and high-end interesting sandwiches. I went for the "PLT" -- seared pork belly, lettuce, and tomato -- and it was a very good, innovative take on the classic BLT. Although lacking the full smokiness of bacon, the thick slabs of seared pork were luscious and decadent and the house-made aioli complemented the fillings nicely. (I meant to take a picture of this terrific sandwich, but absently ate most of it before I remembered!) My colleagues had a tuna melt, a smoked chicken-brie, and a grilled Italian sandwich, respectively -- and deemed them all excellent. The sandwiches are accompanied by home-made potato chips which were addictively crispy. On the downside, the beef barley soup was only meh and tepid in temperature; and the sandwich breads tended to be over-buttered for toasting, so your hands got pretty oily. If not for the mediocre quality of the soup, I would have given this 4 stars ... it's true rating should be 3.5 stars IMO. Overall, though, I'd be happy to visit again and try their other offerings and would look forward to upgrading my rating! read more

I decided to try one of Tidewater's restaurants closest to where I work. Very clean and nicely decorated inside. I ordered the falafel sandwich with the side salad of the day. The falafel sandwich was delicious! The crispy falafel, cucumber relish, tzatziki sauce and other ingredients all complimented each other. The side salad (strawberries, arugula and avocado) was good but a bit too much for me. Next time I'm going to try the beer battered onion rings. Getting to this place was a bit hard, as they are tucked away in a corner of a large complex. Once you find the place you have to find a place to park, which can be a challenge as the complex is a business area. The atmosphere once inside, however, is quite relaxing, and much more enjoyable than the hubbub outside. Light music and good food set this place apart. Once you order, if you dine in, you are given a number and get to relax as people bring you your drinks, food, and anything else you might need that takes the time to prep. The teapots are good for about 3.5 full cups, the smoothies can easily be shared by two people, and the food is super filling. My wife got lunch and my roomie and myself got breakfast, which is exactly what we wanted. Overall the place was very relaxing, the food great, the staff friendly, and the location a bit hard to find. 8/10 would go again. read more

Another great establishment from the folks at Tidewater Catering! This café is a little off the beaten path but in a great location. There is plenty of parking and the inside of the building has been completely redone. The menu is full of breakfast classics, great sandwiches, beautiful salads, and other goodies. The coffee and tea selection are beyond what is typical for a café. The staff are very nice and all the food is made fresh to order. I have been here for brunch on a Saturday and a mid-week lunch. Both experiences were wonderful! My food was hot, fresh, and exactly how I ordered it. The specialty coffees are super yummy and brought right to your able. So, I had the day off work today and decided to try this cafe after hearing about it trough a work friend. I was sadly disappointed. The space itself was beautiful but it didnt make up for the lack of attention from the staff (in a comletely empty dining room!) And the poorly constructed lunch. My burger was charred on the outside but cold inside...like it had been cooked head of time... although the wait was certainly long enough for them to prepare a fresh burger. My sisters salad was limp and the dressing made it taste like there was dirt in it. We will probably stick to the cafes in down town. Unless, we ever need to have a lunch meeting...its so quiet and unoccupied here that it'd be a great place to hold a lunch work meeting. Beautiful space, weak service and food quality. read more

I've given this place many chances, as I keep hoping maybe they were working the kinks out, or that I hadn't tried the best they have to offer. Anything they cook on their grill comes out tasting like gas, it's disgusting. Their pastries taste stale and I know for a fact they don't make their own pastries and desserts. This place focuses so hard on LOOKING like a quality/professional cafe with prices reflecting that, however their food doesn't measure up.
