If you're planning to go, I'd recommend getting there as close to opening (around 7:00 a.m.) as possible to beat the crowds. Even with the number of people, everything was very well organized. They had someone directing parking, and the checkout line moved quickly. The vendors were friendly, and the overall experience was smooth. The selection was amazing. They had fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful flowers, local honey, homemade jams, apple butter (I brought home a jar!), fresh baked goods, and even fresh meat from a local vendor. I also grabbed a mini pecan pie, and it was delicious! The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the freshness and quality. One thing to know is that this market isn't as spread out as some of the larger farmers markets, so it can feel crowded once it gets busy. Even so, it never felt disorganized, and the vendors were well stocked with plenty of products. I've always loved the Kings Drive Farmers Market, and this visit reminded me why. It's been a while since I'd been, but I'll definitely be going back more often. Whether you're shopping for your weekly produce, looking for local products, or just want to walk around and support local vendors, it's absolutely worth the trip. 10/10 recommend! I'm usually in and out, but the parking is super easy, vendors are fun and friendly. The market has a nice backdrop of the uptown buildings and the nearby Marshall Park (just behind First Baptist)... makes for a nice - easy Saturday morning to ease your way into the day. One day I will fufil my dream of walking to my nearby Lynx/Lightrail station taking it uptown to the market, enjoying the market, and then making my way home (so no parking needed - even though it's not an issue here if you go early enough).

I was *swooning* over the heirloom tomato table because you've just never seen such variety of juicy plump tomatoes! We grabbed some fresh corn on the cobb and lots of tomatoes this trip for only $12! They had just about everything you could think of from mushrooms to berries, carrots, etc. If you're in the area, you gotta go here for fresh produce. It's way better and more flavorful than the grocery store stuff. I believe they are only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Looks small from the outside but they have all the essentials you need! All their vegetables and fruit looked so fresh! Prices are decent for what they are. They even had fresh basil. There were other vendors too. Not sure if they are there every time or if they rotate. But there was also a gluten free bread stand and flower stand. I got a bouquet of fresh flowers for $10. The bouquet were huge and beautiful! All the vendors take cash and credit cards (swipe on their phone). Some might charge you a small fee if you pay with credit cards (maybe .40 cents). Blueberry Muffin and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies are also really good. I hope she brings back her Lemon cookie so I can try it. Wentworth & Fenn is also here sometimes, but we got there too late this past time and they were already gone. They have amazing bread, so check them out too if you can.
