I get intimidated by taking my car to mechanic shops because of the little knowledge I know about automobiles. Complex mechanical explanations often make it impossible to tell if a recommended fix is truly urgent or completely unnecessary. My lack of knowledge creates a deep fear of being taken advantage of and overcharged. This was NOT the case with G&G Auto Repair. The gentlemen who greeted me at the front door were very patient with me while I was trying to explain the problems I had been having. After finding the problem they started working on it. While I was waiting I was offered water, soda, tea, coffee, etc... multiple times. This really shows that they care about their customers during stressful times. (What's more stressful than car problems am I right?!?) I'd hear them answering phones, help other customers, and communicate with the mechanics all while keeping excellent customer service. Not long after (remember they're quick!) I was told the problem was minor and to come back if I had any other issues. HUGE mistake. Luckily, the truck stopped running near this place. The guys came out to ask us what was wrong. They realized the sticker was wrong and gave us an idea of what could be done to fix the problem. We left the truck with them (thankfully we had a rental) and returned home (to another state). Jimmy communicated with us throughout. He told us when the car would be ready and gave us a fair price. We drove back to Bakersfield and picked up our truck last Friday.
