Because of this failure, I was left without essential medication for about 10 days, causing needless pain, stress, and disruption to my daily life. The office staff were consistently difficult to reach, and when I did manage to get through, I felt they showed little compassion or urgency in addressing a very real medical need. I filed a complaint with the California Medical Board regarding this incident, and I have written confirmation that the complaint is currently under review. This experience was unacceptable, and I hope it helps others choose their care providers wisely.

Dr. Lo respected my decision to avoid opioid medication and thoughtfully recommended alternative treatments for my back pain. Eventually, the cause of my pain was identified as a birth defect requiring surgery, and his guidance throughout this journey has been invaluable. The entire staff at this office is knowledgeable and supportive. They always respond promptly to MyChart messages or phone calls, and I'm consistently seen on time. On the rare occasions when delays arise due to circumstances beyond their control, they always communicate updates about wait times. I've never felt unwelcome or like a nuisance while at the office--it's truly a warm and professional environment. Dr. Lo now has Ryan, PA, assisting him with patients, and he's a fantastic addition to the team. Like Dr. Lo, Ryan is empathetic, approachable, and equally committed to providing excellent care. I don't take narcotics and get so frustrated with doctors pushing drugs on me. Dr. Kim doesn't do this. He addresses a healthy approach to healing pain and really cares about his patients. After the doctor asked me the same questions just to type the answers into his laptop, he then has the audacity to ask me "well what can I do for you". I just told him I was there for pain, had he not listened or even attended medical school. He did not even examine me, he only quickly ran his fingers down my leg and thought he was educating me on some sensation diagnosis. Dr. Vo does not do anything other than prescribe pain drugs, no examination of the pain site, doesn't check for bruising or swelling. Complete waste of time as all he seemed to only care about if my copay had been paid. Not recommended and will not return ever again.
