My RV is a Class C. There was significant water damage that we noticed had gotten really bad shortly after our purchase. We went around to several places trying to get an estimate and we got quotes from 7 to 15 K for a front-end bunk rebuild. Everything in California seems to be very expensive, so finding Universal RV repair was a miracle. They were very responsive with messages and texts. They sent a technician out to our RV site to give us a free estimate. Within a week of the estimate, they started working on our RV. It was finished in less than 2 weeks. Their work exceeded my expectations!!! They used new fiberglass when necessary and replaced all of the wood support and paneling on the inside. The bunk looks brand new. The slider for our RV would not go back in and we could not drive the RV. We were up in the mountains and stuck in our camping spot. The technician drove several hours in rush hour traffic to our camping spot to try and solve the issue. After he worked into the evening, it was determined parts needed to be ordered so he got us down the mountain so we could go home. He then came back up the mountain a few days later with the parts, repaired the RV, and delivered it down the mountain to our office. Amazing customer service with affordable prices. Contacted them to come and do an assessment on my RV. Communication was good at first, got a quote and was OK with it. He said he would be here around 3:30. He showed up at 3:15. Didn't bother getting out of the car to knock on my door which my husband was sitting three feet away from. He wrote me saying he was here (thru Yelp, not text) and that I was not responding and then he said "i'm outa here". I saw the note at 3:28. I called and left a message with my direct number. He texted me to text him right back which I did FOUR times and got ZERO response. He was completely unprofessional. He had my address and saw where the RV was parked. I initially had high hopes from this company, but as it turns out they get a huge zero rating. I first contacted this company on 6/17/24 to repair a non-functional toilet. A technician came out to my home to inspect my class C RV, but failed to bring a drain tank. I was told he would need to remove the toilet & he wanted to replace the gasket. He called me the next day saying he had to order the gasket, and that is the last time I've heard anything from them. I've called and left 5 voice messages (they NEVER answer their phone), calling 2 times a day. Yesterday, 6/25, on my message I left I requested at the very least an update or do I need to hire someone else. No return call. Today (6/26/24), I've hired a competitor then called Universal one more time and as usual I left them another voice message letting them know I'm done with them and I have hired a different company. I don't know how they have as high a rating as they do, my guess is perhaps they are writing these reviews themselves. After several calls and a canceled appointment, they never answer their phone. They arrived on Saturday February 8th. I had them come and do work on my travel trailer, a roof and body re-seal and some small minor fixes. He fixed a couple of things and prepped the trailer for sealing. Stated he would be back on Wednesday February 12th 10am. To finish the work, well he never came back, never called, nothing. I called left messages and text every day for 10 days straight, to see when he will come back and finish the job he started. No return calls or text, nothing. Had to hire another company to come and finish the job on February 28th. Do not use this company if you want work done to your rv. Absolutely no communication , not reliable with customers, will not return your calls and leave you scrambling to get you rv fixed due to half the work being done , zero stars in my book. Oh , by the way he did finally Text back on Monday February 24th with "are you available march 2nd" ? No explanation of why the missed appt. Or return calls, no apologies, nothing. My air conditioner on my travel trailer was not working. Called Danny at Universal RV LLC. His teck Roger came out to my house to diagnose my broken air conditioner. He showed me and explained that the compressor was no longer working and it was making an awful loud buzzing noise and getting hot. There was no cold air coming out of the vents. It needed to be replaced. They received the new replacement unit the next day. Danny and Roger came out that day and replaced the old unit. Only took them about an hour. The air conditioner is up and running and nice cold air coming out the vents. These guys are awesome! I will be calling Universal RV LLC for all my RV repairs and maintenance!
