We initially spoke with Kaitlyn Mahoney over the phone regarding the motorhome. When we met Kaitlyn in person, she was genuinely a wonderful individual who made us feel like we were meeting a good friend. She took a sincere interest in understanding our wants and needs for this major purchase. Kaitlyn spent considerable time answering all of our questions and thoroughly showing us the motorhome in detail. Her professionalism, knowledge, and friendly approach made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. A special shout-out to the other team members as well--Doug, Curtis, and Francisco in Service and Parts--for helping coordinate our needs and ensuring everything was addressed. Last, but certainly not least, Mike provided a complete, thorough, and highly detailed walkthrough of our new motorhome. As first-time motorhome owners, we greatly appreciated the time he took to explain the systems, operation, and maintenance requirements. His patience and attention to detail gave us confidence as we begin this new adventure. Do I have any negatives regarding Mike Thompson RV in Colton? Only one: the starter motorhome package was not worth the value for the price based on the contents provided in the box. Overall, our experience with Mike Thompson RV was outstanding. Thank you to the entire team for making this such a positive and memorable purchasing experience.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, I drove from Fontana to Colton to see about a problem with my Blue…read moreOx/Patriot braking system in my car because, when towing behind my motorhome, the car batteries kept overcharging causing me to get a new car battery nearly every year since I've had the RV. My appt was made for Thursday, May 21 at 9 am. I was specific about what I wanted: To know if it was wired correctly because a jeep dealership said they had "never seen a battery wired like that". This request shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to complete: You open the hood, look at the wiring and say "yes" or "no" if it looks normal to you and then close the hood so I could be on my way. That's all I asked for. Period. It's even written on my invoice. On Thursday, May 21st, I arrived (again, from Fontana) about 10 minutes before 9. I went to the service dept to check in and the man who made this appt on Tuesday, claims it wasn't in the system. Hmm.... My car was taken in at 9:11 am. At 10:14 am, the service dept guy and the tech who was going to check out my car battery hookup. I explain to the tech what's been happening etc... he says "ok". They go off..... I guess it was a few minutes after noon when I went up to the desk to inquire why it's taking so long. The service guy who was handling my visit was at lunch and another guy said he'd pass the message on when my service guy got back from lunch. Ok.... I went back to sit down. Shortly thereafter, my service guy said "they are still working on it". Now I'm thinking... is the tech blind? He can't see where the wires are and if it looks normal or not? That's all I asked for. At about 1:20 or so I went back up to the desk to let the service guy know I'm diabetic and I'm starting to crash and I need my car to go get food; I left my supplies back in Fontana because I didn't know the tech was so inept it would take 4+ HOURS to VISUALLY INSPECT a couple wires on my car battery. At 1:27 the service guy comes to tell me that the tech is "wrapping up" and then I was forced to pay $225 for no specific answer other than something to the effect of "we can wire it to isolate your battery and you'd get power for the lights from the RV" which is exactly what IT ALREADY DOES since I installed a battery shut off switch. The problem is having the battery shut off switch removes some of the drivable things my car does that I WANT to use... like the auto shut off at stops, etc. He's telling me I would need to leave the shut off valve on there.... which I want to remove. What he said they could do, is exactly what the whole system I have is already doing. I learned NOTHING and was never told at all if my battery is wired correctly or not. NOTHING I didn't already know. They brought my car out at 1:43 pm.... and guess what? it's like an oven in there! It was 88 degrees out that day and my car is so hot I burned my legs on my leather drivers seat when I got in. My question is this: Was that tech working on my car out in the back parking lot???? It took over 15 minutes for my a/c to start making it comfortable inside the car. It's a very well maintained 2020 vehicle with under 45,000 miles on it. The service manager told me I should have been prepared to spend the whole day there.... TO VISUALLY LOOK AT A COUPLE WIRES and tell me if they are correct or not? Do they even know what wires look like?? Seems not if it took that long to do anything. I can do it in under 3 minutes but I don't know what the Patriot wiring looks like or I wouldn't have wasted my time OR money. And then he says "well, the techs have to take lunch...".... was he on lunch for 4 hours????? You took the car in at 9:11, tech came out at 10:14 and his lunch is when? TO LOOK AT WIRES!!!! The incompetence here is staggering unless it is their GOAL to drag out the hours so they can charge you more for it being there. It's one of the two; I see no other options.

Before…read moresigning, I negotiated with Steve, the finance manager, who clearly agreed that an extra solar panel and second battery would be included at no additional cost ( see attached pic) . After I signed and paid in full, I later discovered they added a $400 charge for the solar panel anyway, even though I have proof it was agreed to be free. They also charged me a $995 dealer prep fee for a full inspection and setup, which clearly was not performed. Immediately after bringing the RV home, I discovered multiple defects: the entrance door would not close properly, there was a loud mechanical noise from under the refrigerator, and the battery was draining down while not in use. I contacted Laguna RV and on August 12 I drove two hours to return the RV for repairs and to install the solar panel they failed to include the first time. I picked up the RV on August 16 and was told everything was resolved. However, the very next day, while preparing for our trip, I discovered two holes in the brand new floor, additional damage under the recliners, and that all the tank sensors (black, gray, and fresh water) were not working at all. With only days before my departure and no time to drive back again, I had to hire a mobile RV technician, who confirmed the issues were not quick fixes. When we finally went on our trip, the water pump failed approximately 80 percent of the time. We could not properly shower, flush the toilet, or wash hands, and the tanks overflowed because the sensors did not work. This completely ruined our trip and was unacceptable for a brand new RV. On top of that in few occasions the shower drain water got flooded so did the toilet since again the tanks sensors didn't work and we couldn't tell the tanks levels... On our way back from the trip, the situation became dangerous. About 30 minutes into the drive home, one of the weight distribution hitch bars that Laguna RV had installed fell off while driving, and we were unable to locate it. We had no choice but to continue driving with only one bar, which is not safe. Two hours later, when we arrived at a gas station, I heard a loud boom. The second bar had also fallen off. I retrieved it and disconnected the hitch entirely, and had to drive the rest of the way without any distribution bars, which defeated the entire purpose of having a distribution hitch and put us in a dangerous situation. After the trip, I brought the RV back again on September 13. Bob, the service manager, told me he submitted a warranty claim with Forest River to have the damaged floor repaired. For five weeks, every time I followed up, he told me he was still waiting for approval from the manufacturer. I eventually contacted Forest River directly and was informed that no claim had ever been submitted. Only when I confronted Bob with that information did he actually send the claim. At this point, the RV has spent more time in Laguna RV's possession than mine. I am making monthly payments on a brand new RV that was delivered with defects, unsafe conditions, and items that were never properly inspected despite a $995 prep charge. I am now filing a formal Consumer Affairs complaint and pursuing legal action through my attorney to recover the unauthorized $400 solar panel charge, the $995 dealer prep fee, the $550 I paid for the hitch installation that was done improperly, and compensation for loss of use, safety risks, and the time and stress this caused my family. I have full documentation of all communication, photos, videos, and agreements. On more point - when I texted Steve ,the finance guy, in regards to the $400 unauthorized solar panel charge he texted back " who is this?".... we basically texted 20 times prior on the same text thread... Based on my experience, Laguna RV acted deceptively, failed to meet contractual obligations, and jeopardized my safety. I strongly warn others not to do business with this dealership.

Richardsons Fix the way do business…read more I bought a used 2018 TT & an extended warranty from Richardsons in late 2021 took it out for the 1st trip 3 months later. Toilet flushed once then water pressure to toilet was gone. I take my Trailer in for the issue toilet won't fill properly due to low water pressure to toilet only. Kitchen, restroom sinks and shower all have good water pressure. I explain how I feel it might be the toilet valve to Guy A as he takes trailer information from me. 1 week later I get a call from Guy A saying I need a new toilet that run $700 and the warranty don't cover it. I lose my cool explain how it's BS. I just got the trailer from them, I asked don't you guys check the trailers before you sell them some kind of point inspection. The toilet worked for 1 fill then pressure was lost. He apologizes and says he understands I should had been able to use it more... I feel bad so I go into the office apologize to Guy A for losing my cool I understand it's not his fault. He seems to accept my apology so I ask him to help me understand the issues. I ask various questions when Guy B jumps in and says there's build up, could be from city or camp site having poor water and or hard water. I explain I understand, but that build up normally don't happen from 1 fish to the other it takes time. Mean while Guy A went back to speak with the service tech and confirmed that water is flowing to the toilet but then there's build up. I say thank you and say I'm not paying for a toilet. They explain how I'm gonna have to pay $175 for the time spent. I tell them I can't take trailer yet cuz I'm in my car. I return an 45min later with warranty in hand to show that warranty states it covers valves and fittings which I felt is where the issue is. Guy A is on the phone so I'm standing there waiting Guy B asks what I have, I say my warranty showing valves are covered did you guys check the valve? He then replied with yes there is blockage warranty won't cover blockage you need a new toilet if you want it fixed. Guy A gets off the phone and says they were going to let me take my trailer with no charge cuz I didn't sign that section of the paperwork. I say thanks can I pick it up tomorrow. I pick up trailer the next day take it home and in 20 min I have the toilet removed and bypassed the valve and toilet works fine. What really gets me is that there was no attempt to fix my toilet just sell me a new one. Not even a $175 per hour charge and a $30 valve was offered just a $700 new toilet. I really hope that Richardsons as a company can fix how they do business cuz I'm only 2 min away and hope that when I run into a problem outta my capabilities they don't try and take advantage of me again. I spoke with Brad I believe. He was helpful in getting me info. Not sure who serviced the toilet or who told him I needed a new one. Not sure who the guy sitting next to him that said if I wanted it fixed I needed a new toilet was ether. Toilet is working fine now that I fixed it myself so no matter what they say I didn't need a new one.
