Best Self service car wash in the area in my opinion. There's literally no self service car washes in my area (cassleberry) and I like to wash my car myself and detail it. The only frustrating thing is that sometimes the card readers don't work, or else you'll just need change, in which the change machine doesn't work. Frustrating to say the least. I specifically came on here to complain and I was surprised someone gave a 4 star and attempted to justify the that its ok for the owner to be rude. Well the owners strikes back with full rudeness. I own a truck, and it rained the prior day. I got a little bit of dirt on the side of my truck, so I decided to hit up a car wash real quick I unfortunately wasted my time here. I had a bunch of quarters so I found a bay and sat there for a second and noticed warnings for truck owners. It took a while to read the details because they were so lengthy as well as the fact that it says if you wash debris out of your truck bed, they will call the police. I was a bit surprised considering I find that to be a bit extreme, but yes it does say they will call the police on you. I thought to myself ok fair enough, they dont want you to wash the debris. I just wanted to wash the dirt from the side and be on my way. As I get out of the truck, I get some old guy coming at me quickly to inspect the bed of my truck and basically tell me that I cant wash my bed because I have debris in my bed. It literally was a few leaves and twigs from parking under my oak tree at home. I said, yes I was actually sitting in my truck reading your sign about that and I wasnt going to do that anyway. He didnt look too happy so I let him know Im going to be moving on now and didnt appreciate the way he approached me. His response was that there was another car wash down the road I can go to. Im glad he did this before I put money in the machine because I am not going to give this place a dime. I did end up doing what he suggested and hit up laser bright on aloma. Overall, if he had any business sense, this is not the way to attract and retain customers. I dont expect anyone to jump through hoops to make me happy, but I do expect to be treated with courtesy by the person I am doing business with. I gave this place a second chance today and I will not come back after this experience. The man that runs the place is ALWAYS there. If you're doing something wrong at his place, he will come up to you and just be so rude about it. There is a way to come up to "guests" if they aren't following the rules of the establishment. No need to be a dick about it. The first time I got yelled at by that old guy was because I brought my own towel to clean my car and he told me I can't use it with an attitude. And told me that I can go buy a towel or use the brush. Really? your brush sucks, Im already paying money to use your car wash and you won't let use my own towel???? I live at an apartment complex that doesn't have a "car wash station". I don't have that luxury to literally clean my car. Im already spending almost $10 to wash and vacuum my car. I'd rather pay someone to clean my car for the same amount of money I spend at University Car Wash. The second time I yelled at was because I was thumping my floor mats on the ledge where the vacuums sit and the old man comes up to me with an attitude saying I shouldn't do that and that I should read the signs making me feel like I'm stupid. This guy needs to learn how to treat his guests with respect and to be more understanding with his guests and courteous. I rarely do reviews on websites like these but, just how the old man treated me the two times I was there really left a mark. Learn how to be kind. If you show amazing customer service, and actually be polite to your guests you would probably have better traffic at your business, and better reviews on websites like these. Not a good place. The man that runs it is an asshole. I only clean my car there in the middle of the night when he's not around because I don't like being around him. I was cleaning my car there a couple months ago and I was cleaning the engine and he comes out saying I have to close my hood or leave because that's a sign of a drug deal??? Wtf. The the other week my friend was telling me that he was cleaning his car and they got into an argument and the guy brought out his dog and was threatening him with the dog. So he called the cops and when they got there he hid in his little office and wouldn't come out. He's a loser and doesn't care about his customers The wash it self isn't that good either. The tri foam gun sucks it shoots out a liquidy foam only one color. The pressure wash gun is good but it takes forever to switch between cycles wasting my time I pay for. The brush always leaves scratches but that's with any car wash. Don't use the brush only use the foam and pressure wash if you car about your car at all. If I could give this place "0" stars I would. Abosultely horrible. Mainly because of the man running it. Everyone should stop going and let him go out of business maybe someone that will maintain it and care about customers will buy him out. Only reason I go here is because I like to rinse my car off and pressure wash wheels in between at home detailings. Worst experience ever!!! I jumped in my car with $10 in quarters and drove to the car wash. The first thing I did was raise my hood to remove the leaves that had fallen down under the hood. Ten seconds later I have this old guy in my face literally yelling at me. He was screaming that engine washing is not allowed. I tried to tell him I wasn't washing my engine but he never stopped yelling. He started screaming at me to shut my hood. I know people could hear him at the other end of the car wash. I asked if he was the owner and he said he was. I let him know that I wouldn't be back. He said, "GOOD!". How can this guy still be in business? I guess there was one good thing to come from this. I've been to University Car Wash numerous times. And yes, the owner has also dropped by almost every time to make sure I was following the rules of the establishment. There are signs posted everywhere on how to properly wash (according to the business) and the owner can be rude at times. I can believe each of these reviews, in short. But think about this: imagine your livelihood depending on a business like this. For every $10 you spend half could be potentially going to maintenance, upkeep and supplies so your profit may be minimal and damage could be the deciding factor of a profitable month. Think about it as if it was your business. You would want people to use your property respectfully and with care. So who knows. Every time I've been there the place has been in pretty good shape--a decent car wash in a good location. Open 24 hours. I'd give 3.5 out of 5 but I can't so I rounded up. It's a well-kept place. MAAAAAAN, alr I don't really write reviews like that but this place needs more credit. I met the owner and I'm new to washing my car myself so I was being a total ditz. He was able to answer my questions, he broke things down to me. I felt very comfortable around him. All that slander about him gives him such a bad rep and I think he's just a simple old man trying to run a car wash business by himself. Also the quality of this place is very nice. I can give myself that $60 car wash quality with like... $10 tops for my interior and $20 for the exterior, depending on how fast and efficient you are. I'm now only going to go to this place to clean my car and owner if you read this thank you. I was wearing a blue jacket and a beanie. My only downfall is that it's tricky to pull change from a debit card for the vacuum. I went there and saw that I needed change to get coins. The first time I stopped here the vending machine took my money and got jammed so I saw him wandering around and went to ask him for assistance. I then pulled into the self wash and to no surprise, the lady was saying something to the man in the stall beside me. I don't know what was happening so kept cleaning my car. As I come to the front of the car I hear her say. " what you don't speak engish?" Normally I Yelp locations I'm not familiar with but I just happened to pace the car wash on my way home from Target and thought I'd run my car through the wash and then a quick vacuum. There's a trending problem with this wash, the old man. I as well as everyone else would like to know how is he still in business. I almost felt like I was on candid camera with the way I was treated. I went through the automatic car wash first (paid $10 to come out with my car still filthy). Annoyed but I proceeded to park next to the vacuums. I got out and started whipping my car with a towel. My husband and I went here tonight to wash his car. The owner harassed us the ENTIRE time we were there. We were simply paying to do what the business is for... washing the car. He proceeded to come out numerous times during the time we were washing the car to make unnecessary comments. At the end of washing our car. He came outside and said that we shouldn't be doing that, the facilty was a wash and quick dry. That we shouldn't be detailing the car. Mind you, we were ONLY DRYING the car and there were NO other cars waiting. His exact words were "your detailing the paint off".
