We've chosen to go to Octopus Car Wash for many years, mostly out of pure convenience. We recently got a new family vehicle and decided to do their unlimited monthly "Carnauba Clean" (express tunnel wash only) for $30/month. If you go at least twice a month, it's worth it and since we live just around the corner, it's easy for us to run the car through the express wash real quick. So far, we've been happy with the service and the staff have always been really friendly (despite being outside in the heat for hours). I would be cranky haha, but everyone we've encountered is so nice and seems like they genuinely enjoy working there. This package does not include an interior cleaning, so it only takes about 7 minutes from start to finish if there's not a line. My son loves to watch out the window and see all the fun colorful lights as you go through the wash cycle. As you exit the tunnel, they quickly towel dry your car and send you off. Beware of monthly club. We were subject to a bait and switch on the club. We were not told of the increase after two months. Not good for most weekend use as there is too long of a wait. Would put 0 starts if I could. A part of the service we purchased was that we get a scent. When we asked for it, we were told we need to go to the office. There, we were told that the scent thing hasn't shipped so they don't have it. Logically, I asked if there is a substitute (they have other scents for sale) or a reimbursement/discount because, at the end of the day, I did not received what was advertised. That is not the worst part... The man who I, unfortunately, had to talk about the situation, named Kerry was overly aggressive. He kept saying "we don't have it" instead of answering my question on where it is stated that sometimes the promised product is not available. He kept aggressively asking me what my complaint was instead of answering my question. His tone and gestures made me feel unsafe. He said I am violating his space and threatened that he has cameras on property. I felt completely blindsided by that move as I was 1) not given what I was promised 2) talked to disrespectfully, and, to add on 3) threatened. This is beyond unacceptable and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is unfortunate I have to write this review as I was using this car wash often. The people who polished the car did a good job and the cashier inside was helpful and friendly. I feel as though it is unfair to other workers, but Kerry completely ruined the experience. read more

This is the second time I've been here for a car detailing. Both times have been excellent experiences. Today we came in for our SUV to get detailed. Everyone from the person who went through the options thoroughly, and helped us pick the perfect option for our car, to the detailers at the end, were extremely friendly and helpful. Orlando doesn't seem to have a lot of professional car wash places that have people who will still do your vacuuming and interior polishing for you as a full blown car wash. I've found a lot of mobile detail companies and numerous drive through car washes so finding Octopus Car Wash was a surprise and delight. Not only did they do an excellent job cleaning out my oatmeal mess from my cross country drive, but were very kind to help me attach my new license plate. They were fast, efficient, thorough and I was extremely happy. I ate breakfast across the street at First Watch and by the time I was done eating my car was polished inside and out. For the price of a two man detail company that would have taken much longer, I must have had 6 people making sure my car was done exactly how I wanted it. Love it here. It's a very simple process. Drive up, wait in the car u til it's your turn, tell them what you want done, pay inside and wait. Staff are kind. Process is easy and my car always looks great! The offer a one time fee and a monthly plan. The monthly is worth it! My car wash looks great everytime. If you're not super particular about your car and just want a quick and easy wash and vacuum, you can get in and out of Octopus Car Wash in around 30 minutes or less - at least that's been my experience for the last 5 years or so. If you can go in the middle of the week around the early morning or lunch hour, there's usually only a car or two ahead of you and you can get through in a breeze, like 15 minutes, if you're not doing an in-depth car detailing. I've done the drive-thru car wash service ($15), the Full Wash Plus ($25), the Carnauba Clean ($32), and the Ultimate Clean ($40) services over the years depending on how dirty or how long it's been since my last wash and they've all been solid. Not perfect but no major complaints either. Occasionally, I find that the interior could be cleaned a little bit better but the crew here is all so quick and efficient, I honestly value the speed over perfection here. Speaking of the crew, everyone I've seen is chill and I've never encountered any rude people. Even on the really hot days, the staff have always been good to me. The waiting area won't wow you but you can have a seat and watch your car go through the tunnel and get washed which really never gets old TBH. There's a vending machine with snacks in there but honestly, I usually am out of there pretty quickly and never have to wait around along to warrant getting any snacks. The biggest bonus for me is that it's super close to my house so it's very convenient. I got 2 monthly accounts with this car wash establishment because they seem to be a few left not converted to 100% automation. But this review is dedicated to one of the staff members, Andregate (my apologies if I got his name incorrectly), the team lead last Saturday. My car was parked under an oak tree and was covered not only with pollen but also the chewing gum like stuff from the tree. How are you a car wash business and you're terrible at your job? Today was the second and last time I ever come here. The first time I had to go back because I immediately noticed all the dirt they didn't clean and the same thing again today! The tunnel that washes the cars is weak and not good at all. I STILL had dirt spots on my car that when I took my finger and whipped it, it came right off, yet they supposedly dried my car off with a rag and it didn't come off ... okay. I found trash in my back seat; paid for the ultimate cleaning package by the way, and not to mention, there was dirt and dog hair still all over the back seats in my car. And this wasn't the type of dirt or hair that is just stuck and won't come out. I took a rag and cleaned it off myself. I will never visit here again. read more

I've been a regular customer of this establishment for many years now. I have three vehicles all of which are subscribed with the Ultimate Clean Unlimited Wash. If you have your car washed at least twice a month, the subscription is well worth the price and time you save. Also, with a monthly subscription, there is a ten (10) percent discount for detailing services. The front-line employees which include the order writers, cashiers and detailers are generally friendly...there are times when the car wash gets extremely busy which would try anyone's patience but, the majority of my experience has been positive. read more

We've been taking all of our cars here for over a year and they do a fantastic job. The crew is always friendly and attentive. We pay for the monthly "subscription" for two of our cars and it is absolutely worth every penny for us. To be fair, we live about 200 feet away from the car wash so it's very easy for us to go. Just went through their car wash for the 1st time and their brushes scratched / chipped the paint. Within 5 seconds the manager tells me it's from rocks and that it's typical that people notice imperfections after the car gets washed which to me sounds like he's said this before. I drive the car maybe 3 times a week and never highway. I've been using Mister Carwash and do at least twice a week and as recent as Saturday. I always make it a point to look for scratches and chips after each wash. Three weeks ago, I had the car detailed by a mobile detailer and no chips then. I couldn't imagine these coming from anywhere else but the brushes. Side note, there tire shine left residue on the rims that looked like dirty water. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. read more

I had to return because they did not vacuum my trunk and I had to tell them that they missed the "dirt spots" on my driver side interior fabric (doors). I have been a regular at this car wash for 2 years now. For a one-time exterior and interior wash you pay $20, the monthly plan is $40 which is well worth it to me - I go at least once a week. The staff here are the sweetest people; honestly they keep me coming back. I would give five stars if their detailing was up to par, I paid $150 for a deep clean inside my car and felt the job could've been better. I havent lived in Orlando in about 6 years- entering the time that I did live there, octopus has always had a reputation of being horrible. I came into town this past weekend to visit family and needed a car wash so I figured maybe after six years plus of having bad service they may be better. Lol. NOPE. I paid $50 for a car wash which I drove my car through the washer myself- something I couldve done at the gas station for $7. I even paid extr to have my inside cleaned since I have a dog that sheds. I'm not sure what exactly they did to my car, but when I got to my backseat, it was as if it was never touched, meaning my dogs hair was all over my backseat still. I'm not sure if they used in already damn microfiber towel, however, the outside of my car was still not even dry. I also paid extra to have my mats cleaned, and again still dirty. read more

Don't bother. Waste of TIME and MONEY. What did I even pay for?? This wasn't cheap. AND it took 2 HOURS for it to look like I did it myself. Dropped my car off for full service vaccum, wash and headlight buff. I had searched on Google maps for the closest car wash. I should have checked the reviews - UGH! Anyway, dropped my car off at 3:50pm they said it would be ready at 5:15pm. I showed up at 5pm and my car wasn't even TOUCHED YET. It was just parked off to the side. A few workers were like "oh that's your car? Oh damn." Yeah, damn indeed. Wtf were they doing this whole time?? It wasn't washed, or vacuumed, not a thing. The last guy cleaning the interior windows and dashboard, finally finished at 5:56pm. They have different workers at different stages. So whoever the first 2 groups of workers were slacked off big time. The last guy was nice and did a good job at buffing the headlights, cleaning the dashboard and interior windows. But as you can see from my images it was barely cleaned. The passenger side, backseat and trunk were hardly vacuumed. The exterior was cleaned at a bare minimum effort - I probably could have saved myself $120 and just did this at home with a dustbuster and hose. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. read more

They did an absolutely horrible job. They way over charged us. We came back after discovering all the stuff they missed and the manager clarified that although we clearly asked for the full interior to be cleaned that the one we paid for (almost a $100) value did not include the seats. We asked for everything inside to be cleaned if seats weren't included that should've been made clear before we were charged because that is what we asked for. Additionally, he highlighted what was included and literally everything that he included was done half assed and I pointed out all the issues and he groaned while mean mugging the entire time and agreed to have them revacuum the interior. We won't be back and I'll be sure to make sure none of the other people I know that patronize them do either. read more

STAY FAR AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED. I've been coming here for years, usually for an express wash every month or so. I recently signed up for a 3 month special membership at $20.99/month. After the 3 months were over, I decided to cancel the membership and did so at the front desk before my next billing date. A month later, I went back to get an express wash for $10. Lo and behold, they never cancelled my membership a month earlier. And how convenient: there's no record of my cancellation, so there's nothing they can do. And even worse, the price of a monthly membership is $38.99! So I'm basically out $40 and I only got one $10 wash. I see this car wash place all the time as I drive to work . One day I decided to stop in for a wash. I was suggested to get the monthly subscription wash and vac . You have to call and cancel or it auto renews. Overall, the price is not bad . Just make sure you use it more than 2 times a month to make it worth it. The guys here are nice, at times there are some spots that are missed with cleaning . Just bring it back and they will re do. read more
