After switching to this office from the sunrise dental in shoreline I was skeptical at first just…read morebecause it was a newer office and I had been seeing my previous dentist for 5+ years but everybody at this office is phenomenal! The front desk staff are so sweet and they already remember me every time I come in, along with the rest of my family. With COVID precautions it's super simple you come in wearing a mask and get your temperature taken and just have a seat. The waiting room is small but it's spacious and they have been staggering their appointments so it definitely makes the flow very smooth. I'm never waiting long to be taken back once I'm all checked in. The dentist and the dental assistants are all extremely nice and very gentle. I also love how all the technology is all modern too (definitely a perk of the new office!) x-rays are extremely fast and simple. The whole staff is just super knowledgeable and never makes you feel uncomfortable at any point so this for sure will be my dentist for as long as possible!

Prior to this month I had been a patient of Lina Kim's for a while, and recently I had an…read moreappointment in which they recommended 2 crowns to fix some pre-existing issues. What I didn't know at the time was that this would turn into an absolute ordeal. I spent an hour waiting for my first visit and there was no communication to come in a little bit later to reduce time in the waiting room, which was not appreciated, but the staff were super sweet and warm and the doctor who did filling was nice and did a really good job of fixing the space between 2 of my teeth so I could actually floss in between. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name but he was great! During my second visit another dentist installed my first temporary crown and scheduled the installation of the permanent crown in 2 weeks. The temporary crown fell off on the exact same day they installed it, so I contacted them, and they scheduled me the next day for address this issue. I will also add that I was in some pain due to improper crown height that had to be corrected multiple times in order to get right. My 4th visit was a couple of days later when my temporary crown fell off yet again. I was very annoyed, so I contacted them again. I must say they reacted pretty quickly and found room in their schedule to see me and fix it one more time, this time Dr.Kim herself was there to treat me. She was very warm and talked me through the process, explained why it could happen, gave me some tips, plus she informed me that crown is still a little bit too high, so she lowered it. She is actually the first one who asked me how the temporary crown feels, and it fits like a glove, just perfect after she worked on it. So I'm ending up giving 4 stars just because of Dr.Kim(I should say she deserves 5 and the clinic probably deserves three so I averaged it out, your mileage may vary) and because of how fast they reacted and fixed the negative situation. But it should not have happened in the first place. Plus, I believe If the doctor who did the temporary crown should have provided more information so as to leave no room for any confusion or frustration.

When I demanded to speak with her she went out of her way to avoid me and I eventually threatened to come down to the office in person and she finally emailed me and all she said was "We'll transfer your records to another dentist." She couldn't talk about or take any responsibility for her botched root canal. Nothing! Her front desk people over the years had misquoted me on what my portion of services would be and I ended up owning $800 that I could not afford. This dental office if nothing like the practice that she took over from Dr Loren Davis. He was simply the best dentist in Seattle and it's a shame that she was the one that took it over because she pales in comparison to Dr Davis and she will never be anything but a mediocre dentist that is too fearful and/or indifferent to talk with her patients that aren't happy! Find a new career Dr Kim or get out of the business because you suck!

For a service that is $600, I could not tell a difference in the color of my teeth. They color match your current tooth shade with a tooth color shade scale. Then after the service, they compare your ending shade to show you the difference. While my starting shade was correct, when they went to match the end shade, the one they matched was much whiter than my actual end result. It felt like they wanted it to seem like it made a larger difference. I honestly couldn't tell a difference from when I came in and when I left. However, I was ensured that they would whiten more in the next 48 hours. I left and followed the instructions for the next 48 hours. At the end of the 48 hours, I barely saw a difference. They worked with me and scheduled a 2nd appointment, but after another service, the end result made only a small difference. I was still shades away from my desired shade on the color scale. While everyone's teeth are different, my natural teeth are pretty white and I expected more than a such a small difference. Especially for such a expensive service. I would have had better or the same result with whitening strips.

I showed up on time this afternoon for a dental cleaning and exam appointment made over the course of two phone calls. It was then that I learned I would not receive the services that I had scheduled ... because I had not confirmed my appointment. Further discussion revealed that a text and a phone call to seek confirmation of my appointment went to a wrong number. I understand some professionals want to reduce no-shows with reminders, etc. But the bottom line is that my time commitment to them was not honored. I had not canceled my appointment and I had not ignored them. I cannot put my dental care into the hands of a dentist who has such low regard for his patients -- and I suggest that others consider this disrespectful approach when making their decisions.

Thankfully, the very-efficient and amiable Megan at Dr. Kussick's office was able to get me in the same day. I've had some pretty awful dental experiences in the past, resulting in near-crippling dental anxiety. So hearing that I needed a root canal in any other situation would likely have resulted in heart palpitations and a tension headache. But Dr. Kussick and his staff listened to my concerns, addressed my anxiety and came up with a plan that would get me out of pain and fix my mouth. While I can't promise that your root canal will be as painless as mine, I can promise you that Dr. Kussick will try his best to make it so. It's easyish to find a dentist who can do good work. Maybe even to find a dentist who will be gentle and communicative. However, it's more difficult to find those qualities in the same dentist. If you're reading this review, then you already have; Dr. Kussick is your guy. I've since gone on to get a cleaning and a crown from Dr. Kussick. Speaking of cleaning... both of the hygienists I've seen were excellent as well!
