We were laughing and talking and made the appointments and I felt very comfortable with my new choice of Dentist however all that changed on my second phone call to this practice the first phone call. I spoke with Tara. She's had some bad reviews however she was very pleasant and I enjoyed speaking with her. The second person I spoke with her name was Angela. When I called to make the other two appointments and to confirm my first three she was very kind, ascending downright nasty and spoke to me like I was a child. The phone was breaking up, so I cannot hear the dates when I went back to ask her the dates again very nasty talking fast over talking me downright rude. I had to call about the next day to reschedule because someone in my family needed to go to see their primary care doctor on the same date which we had scheduled first. Angela stated to me in a very nasty voice. If you don't have these papers complete by 4 o'clock today, we will not see Va***.." Angela stated well you best or I'm canceling the appointment" I got it. Then I proceeded to ask for a new appointment date you would've thought I asked to give me her first born child the way she was so nasty. I just can't explain to you how rude this person was. I suggest if you need a Dentist to look elsewhere because the front office is usually who you deal with and at this point, I do not need to go into the office. I'm sure the dentist are great Dentist in capable of doing a great job, but you have to get past the bitch at the front desk Angela after all this was said and done. I called back my final time and canceled all appointments for my family. That's a lot of cash from your practice from us and my insurance companies. To the Dentist of the practice, there's a lot of people out here who needs jobs who are very happy to go to work and very pleasant on the phone. I trust you get more than 2 1/2 stars if you get rid of Angela and hire someone who had a passion for their job and who understoods customer service if that doesn't work for you, Mr. Dentist or Ms, Dentist perhaps you can send Angela to some customer service training she definitely needs it. I'm sorry for such a bad review but it's just the truth. These are not our hometown folks from Lake Park and Indian Trail. I don't know where the heck Angela came from but she needs to go back whether that be South Carolina North Carolina. It doesn't matter where she came from but should go back to her place, where they accept rudeness, sarcasm, condescending, people. The end... No need to respond, it's over. Just wanted to let everyone know to find another place to get your teeth cleaned. One last thing if you schedule a cleaning, your first appointment is a consultation where they tell you how much i It's going to be because your teeth are in horrific shape. it could be anywhere from 4000 $12,000 then you come back for your cleaning if you can afford it after your insurance or no insurance takes over. I expressed my concerns at the beginning that I was worried orthodontics could cause my preexisting, but stable for 10+ years, periodontal disease to worsen. Especially gum recession and loose teeth. They assured me that the risk was low as long as it was stable. I trusted their medical assessment and decided to continue, that was a big mistake. I followed the plan to the T, always brushing a flossing after eating and washing the trays. 14 weeks later at my next dentist visit, my condition had degraded. I had new gum recession and 5mm gum pockets on many teeth, where previously they were 3mm. This caused me to have to get root scaling by my dentist in my whole mouth. Even after this news, Dr. Dover wanted to continue with Invisalign. I said no way, I'm done. Several months later and my teeth are still loose and have not solidified. I had a consultation with my periodontist, when I told him they recommended orthodontics, he just shook his head and said it's known that it can accelerate bone loss in periodontal disease. Especially Invisalign trays which can harbor bacteria. He also said after gum pockets reach 5mm, root scaling efficiency goes down to 35%, so it won't do much good. So now I just wait for my teeth to fall out and probably a bunch of future surgeries. Oh and the first week on Invisalign, I had to go to the ER because of a reaction to the plastic.

Our dental tech was in training, but it was totally fine because both technicians worked well together and the preceptor was super friendly, too! Thank goodness because I've seen where preceptors can be harsh to orientees. This was NOT the case and the whole process was quite nice. Multiple X-rays had to be done which previously was a difficult process for my son. He did them just fine. The process was explained to him the whole way through in a way he could understand which was much appreciated!! The exam could have been a disaster, but did you know flavorless paste is a thing? Yup! You don't have to have fake flavored toothpaste to have your teeth cleaned with. My son hates all the flavors so finding out flavorless toothpaste was a thing at the dentist was a game changer! Listen, when I'm telling you going to the dentist with him is difficult, I'm not kidding. I'll take any win we can get and this was a big win! When Dr. Shah came in and introduced herself, my son was a little bit apprehensive, but still felt comfortable enough to let her explain what she needed to do. He even let her put a bite block in his mouth for a procedure we were not anticipating we would need to do today. She took her time with him and never seemed annoyed or impatient at any point. I really appreciated how she handled how he was behaving. I know he was scared (he's previously had some traumatic - to him - dental procedures and he definitely remembers everything) and maybe she recognized it, too. Luckily within that time frame I called NC tooth docs across the street ( whom we have used for orthodontics) and they were able to get us scheduled for a sooner appointment. The employees are super nice every time, and the receptionists are super nice and knowledgeable. We always arrive about 15 minutes early to our appointments and always seen on time. The Dr. is super knowledgeable and explains things in a way that you understand completely, and even if you have questions, she is very patient and answers the question until you fully understand. This last time we went, my son got his top braces put on, and the process was super simple. My son was super nervous, but after he stated, "That was easy." I rather give them no star if possible due to my personal experience with this entity. Let's keep in mind that I have been coming to this Dentistry for over a decade. They take X-Rays just about every visit, see a Cavity and do nothing but let my mouth ROT. During my last clean up, i felt the Dentist trying to feel something with one of his instruments on my upper molar, was sent Home and told nothing. Several months later before my next upcoming regular visit, on a Saturday, while having a drink, i felt sensitivity on the very same upper molar. I called them and left them a message on their answering machine. I was contacted the very same Monday. I then learn that i had a huge Cavity and might need to be extracted.
