The dental hygienist put on The Lion King for her to watch, gave her a couple of tiny toys to hold onto, and we talked about the space mural on the wall in the room we were in - after which she was fine with getting her teeth checked. I was so grateful, as it can be stressful to take your child for their first visit and everyone was so kind! They gave her a shirt for her first visit and they had a vending machine to give her a small toy when we left. I liked that I got to be in the room with her and I felt so much better after hearing horror stories about other dentist offices. Loved this location and could not recommend them more!

My whole family felt the difference in style--always an up-sell. A few members of my family suddenly needed many fillings due to numerous cavities that suddenly appeared. I'm not sure they were necessary since our past exams had indicated exceptional dental health. The new dentist said we needed MANY fillings. A few weeks after receiving these fillings, a few started to crumble. I'm disappointed with my experience regarding billing transparency at this office…read more Before treatment, I was given an estimate showing that insurance would cover a portion of the procedure. The office verified my insurance benefits, but no one mentioned that my plan had a 12-month waiting period -- something previous dental offices have specifically warned me about in the past. I understand that patients are ultimately responsible for knowing their insurance coverage, but if an office is verifying benefits and providing estimates, I believe important limitations like waiting periods should at least be discussed or flagged as a possibility. After the procedure, I received only a text message saying I owed significantly more because insurance covered nothing. I also learned there were additional X-ray charges that had never been discussed with me beforehand or included in the estimate. When I called for clarification, I didn't feel like my concerns were taken seriously, and the explanation I received was mostly that they were "honoring the contracted rate" even though insurance denied the claim. The dental work itself was fine, but the lack of clear communication about costs and coverage left me frustrated enough that I won't be returning.

Even though they sign a contract to honor your insurance rates, they still expect payment for this undisclosed upcharge to be paid by the patient. When questioned I was informed it was a courtesy to me to even file my insurance claim (that they are contracted with). I was also told it was my responsibility to find out if this upgraded material was covered, that I did not even know about. If this is making your head spin reading this, imagine being the client. In summary- do not rely on their contract with your insurance company to hold water. Do not recommend, which is unfortunate as Dr Carter is wonderful. Staff is who is lacking.

She explains everything to you and what she would like to accomplish in your dental experience. She has the very latest up to date equipment and tools to make everyone's visit more comfortable and quicker. She has immediate service for a Crown, which used to take two weeks to have a temporary put on and then wait for your real crown. It is amazing to get the process done so fast and perfect. The hygienists' are very kind and skilled. They make sure you are comfortable. Front desk is also knowledgeable on your insurance and coverage and they have a great text message confirmation process.
