I am going back to Curry Honda! I always felt like I was ripped off every time I brought my car in.

I am a Honda Master Technician, and have been for 27 years. I know all of the typical auto service industry tactics, and what poor quality is when it comes to having your vehicle repaired. That being said, once I decided to take my career path toward the corporate world, you would think that I would not go back to Honda Carland or its Service Center, and you'd be wrong. Again, I know what quality is when it comes to having your Honda and Acura repaired, because of my experience. Yes, I do my own oil changes, but I still need to visit the dealer for my company car, where I could choose ANY Honda dealer in the Atlanta area. Knowing what I know, I willingly choose to have my car(s) serviced by the Service Center because I trust the technicians working there having worked with them in the past. No, I don't get preferential treatment. No, I don't get discounts. No, I wasn't asked to post this. I am not a shill for Honda Carland, and never will be. I get the feeling that the bad reviews here are people who take their cars to Pep Boys and expect dealership quality. I for one keep coming back, even when I have the experience and resources to do things myself.

I worked with Sabrina over the phone and brought my Subaru in on a Tuesday. The insurance company also paid for a rental car which was right across the street! I also learned I could just drop off and leave the rental car here when the work was completed on my car and was picked up. I had a call from Justin in the shop the next day with a progress update. All going well and additional work was already approved by the insurance claim Adjuster. My concern was with the 'EyeSight' feature as the front end boo-boo may have effected the stereo cameras on the Subaru and disabled the cruise control, lane adjustment, etc. Justin was aware and confident a system refresh would get them working again (which he was 100% correct about) Saturday morning I received my second call from Justin that my vehicle was ready. I confirmed I would be over in the afternoon to retrieve it. All went perfect! Very efficient operation they are running here.

The kid tried to justify the cost and I explained that I supplied the wheel, tire, valve stem, and paint which they offered to do. He had a horrible attitude and very little industry knowledge. I'm about 4k miles away for changing out tires for run flats.went in and was told it would be about 45 minutes (I was like the 4th person waiting. They put the tire I bought on the back and moved my back tire in its place in the front. After I few days I noticed a different look and it was the inlets for the 2 tires were missing. Went upto the shop and he asked and looked around then said "someone must have stolen them from your house" . I then showed him a Pic of the flat before I changed it (showed my friend the flat so he would understand I would be running g late to pick him up). Even after seeing the Pic he got flabbergasted and said " the pics are old" they were time stamped 30 minutes before I arrived at his shop and right in their parking spot before I left his shop. Was told that they charge 3% for processing any card payment, though it is not reflected on the invoice and neither did they say anything about it when taking the card. When I mentioned that I would have appreciated having been told about it at the time of payment as it would have allowed me to consider other forms of payment, the fee was refunded but the response that followed is what I can only categorize as rude and unpleasant. They assured me that it would be an OEM part. The HPFP failed two and half years later and when the part was removed it was far from OEM, it was a cheap Vemo HPFP. I see this no different than stealing by promising and charging for OEM but using cheaper parts. I guess they assumed I would get rid of the car prior to finding out.
