I needed a fob and key combo cut and I could do the programming myself. I had purchased the key aftermarket already. Unfortunate for me, I didnt start with Unlockit because I wasn't comfortable going to a locksmith. I was worried I would be charged more than going to a hardware store. after going to two ace hardware stores, a true value and a Home Depot none would cut the key. One ace hardware kicked me out. I wasn't sure what else to do, so I tried unlockit on Woodstock road. When I walked in I saw they have a ton of security items in their store in fresh clean displays. unlike a Home Depot where the displays have been wrecked over the years and no one there knows a thing about their products. I waited a few minutes, they were doing inventor, and a lady greeted me. she heard what I had going on and then got a locksmith to assist me. He got my key cut right away, no drama at all. he even used a machine to properly decode the original master key so the blank was cut exactly like a new key and not like a copy of a worn key from a truck with over 100,000 miles. I put it on the ignition and it worked silky smooth the first time. All I needed to do was program it, which went off without any issues. I'd done my homework on buying the key unit, so that wasn't a surprise. the real surprise was finding a quality location with comfortable to work with folks ,who do quality work, and look like they are enjoying it. I had a great experience with Unlockit Locksmith and Security last week. I needed to replace my door knob on my front door and security alarms door locks on my AC Units because I had no key. I did not think I could find the EXACT same front door knob because my place is 8 years old. I checked Home Depot and Lowes and did not see it there either. On a chance, I called Unlockit. I sent Jessica a picture of my door knob and they were able to match it and ordered it for me. The price was just a few dollars more than the door knobs at the warehouse stores and THEY put it in. Also, I did not have to repaint my door. A real time saver. Also, they were able to pick the lock on the alarm doors and make a key for them. Vanessa listened very patiently and attentively to my problems and suggested various possible solutions and costs. She also worked with Manning to schedule his arrival on that same day, before my pre-scheduled engagement. Manning arrived promptly. He immediately identified the correct problem and was surprisingly straight forward about the identification of the problem. He patiently explained the problem to me, and offered various cost-saving solutions. Two weeks ago I needed a locksmith fast, on a Saturday. It was for a traumatic reason, which is often the case when you need your locks changed and I was worked into the schedule. Outstanding Service! After receiving what was a scammer/rip off quote ($950) from another company that came to my house and walked thru - you have no idea the huge relief that came over me today when Manny showed up form Unlock It and quoted $190 to rekey 11 locks (includes 5% return cust discount). I drive a Toyota Prius with a key-less entry that reminds me when I either leave the car on after I park (lol, because its so quiet)l) or that I left the key in the car when I got out, therefore not allowing me to lock the car door. Lisa, who helped arrange the appointment, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. She had us send photos of the locks we wanted changed and was able to provide us with an accurate price for the work. And Sam, the technician who came out to do the work, was great--efficient, informative, friendly, low-key (pun intended). Unlockit Locksmith & Security exceeded my expectations! My teenage daughter was locked out of our home while I was out of the country so I called Unlockit based on the reviews on yelp. To make matters worse I had horrible service due to the reception while traveling on water but Tracy repeatedly called me back to get all the information that was needed.
