Nondairy milk for the milk tea was default which is nice. My partner got the guava Jasmine green tea with 50% sweetness and unfortunately it tasted like water. My friend ordered strawberry mango green tea and it was also a little flavorless. Meanwhile I enjoyed my 50% sweet milk tea with boba! The boba balls were nice and chewy. The interior of the store is small but they have tables, board games, video games, and claw machine games to keep you occupied if you stay there. The art on the walls is also really cute. Most people don't know that you can use the kiosk to order so if there's a line double check that the kiosk isn't open, it's a lot quicker. Drinks are always awesome, I've tried the milk tea, oreo smoothie, milk caramel, and brown sugar, all with honey boba and all were extremely tasty. I also really like the quality of their cups, they're a harder plastic and the hole is pre-cut for you so there's a lower risk of spill than with normal boba cups. Also, just a little disclaimer, like all Boba places the drinks can sometimes be a little bit too sweet. So if you're not keen to very sweet , you can always tailor it as you wish. This place is a hit or miss. It NEVER tastes the same. I always get Thai tea with boba and the first time I got it, it was good, now every time I go it tastes like straight up powder, watered down and/or like bad milk. I keep going back because it's nearby and I keep hoping it tastes like the first time but nope. It's been a waste of money since all the drinks have gone to the trash. Also the customer service is nonexistent. They have a self-order machine so I'm guessing the workers think they don't have to greet or socialize with customers anymore. I 100% understand when workers are busy but a simple "hello, welcome, or let me know if you have questions" would be nice. Pretty good tea house in Whittier. I was on my way to visit my niece at the Whittier Kaiser and decided to pick up drinks for the family. I asked the girl working there which drinks were popular and I got a few different variety of teas - mango green tea with boba, peach green tea with boba, strawberry green tea with strawberry popping boba (for the kiddos) and a passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly. I checked in with Yelp and was able to upgrade one drink to a large. In total four drinks were a little over $20 and came in those big ass cups. Drinks took a few minutes but staff was really friendly. I asked for a bag for the drinks and the guy double bagged it just to be safe. Drinks were good, although the peach green tea, which I upgraded to a large, wasn't my favorite. It didn't mix well with the boba - probably better with jelly or something. I have been wanting to go here for a long time, but I was honestly really disappointed when I got here. Their instagram promotes deals with the wrong times (ex. 3-5), so when I got there at 4:30 yesterday, I wasn't able to get discount and two drinks ended up becoming $12. The drink itself was really watered down. I got less sweet, and it just tasted like water. My boyfriend got full sweet, and that tasted equally as watered down as mine. The staff are very friendly and their fruit teas are delicious! I love the jasmine green tea they use as a base. I really like that their teas have real fruit instead of just syrup. Also their cat bottles are adorable! I save them and reuse the bottle because it's so cute. I've gotten many compliments carrying it around. However, I really wish the unique milk teas had more flavor. We've tried the cheesecake, creme brûlée, and Reese's milk tea and none of them really tasted like anything more than regular milk tea. It was disappointing. I hear the smoothies are great too, I'll have to try them one of these days. Take advantage of their yelp check in upgrade and sign up for a FiveStars reward account with them. This place hasn't failed me yet. Watermelon slush with lychee jelly is a must have, toffee mocha smoothie is a knock out, and a small thai tea during there discount hours is an easy steal. Metal slug on the video game system they have set up in the lobby is a great way to keep clients hooks(if you go to whitwood mall location). Typically there is no long lines but I have not gone during the "after school" hours. Trust me when I say that when the weather heats up, Uno is your spot... cheesy? Of course but it's the truth.
