I needed the tire fixed right away so I agreed. It took about 30 minutes but they got the job done. They inspected the repair by water immersion to verify the fix. I did a quick Google Maps search. This Exxon popped up a half-mile away and looked good enough. I guess one can consider this the outskirts of downtown Monterey. This is a small Exxon station (eight pumps) at a fairly busy intersection. Due to the limited space, it wasn't the easiest place to pull up to a pump. A big pickup truck was taking up two spaces by itself. I had to reverse next to pump #7 to fill up. The price for regular ($5.459/gal) was expensive, but that was expected. The pump was in good condition and my receipt printed clearly. There was a food truck on-site, next to the Food Mart. I think they were selling bubble tea, IIRC, among other things.
