The parking lot just looks like a crowded permanent pile of cars - are these vehicles all in queue to be seen by him? Because I went on a Thursday to try to schedule an appointment to be seen for the following Thursday - 4 full business days in advance, and he didn't even want to talk to me. I said, "Will 8AM work next Thursday?" and he said, "Not really." and then told me to bring it in and maybe he would get to it. I'm not bringing it in because even if I did have the time and patience to be seen, it's insulting to be treated the way I was by him. I just stand there feeling like an idiot because I want service and can barely get a word out of him. It's like I don't matter at all and he's better off without me. Everyone posting 5 star reviews must be the very privileged insiders. Maybe they've been customers for years, but now in May 2026, like Emily said, there's no point in trying to be a new customer. They should build a satellite shop somewhere else on the peninsula so the work load can be spread out.

My first…read morevisit was in 2017 for a flat tire - repaired quickly with fair price. 2nd visit in Oct 2025 - I sent a car owner to the shop for an independent inspection when I considered buy his car. Results were as expected with a few surprises that led the car to getting junked. This was not my local shop & the car owner had never been to it either. I made appointment via phone & left specific info about follow up so we would both get a copy of the inspection results. Piece o' cake 3rd visit in Dec 2025 - My car needed an alignment due to pothole in Salinas. City Manager's office told me that I could request reimbursement since fault was by the City. Luis, Sullivan's service agent, understood the mission & made sure that car had a suspension inspection prior to the alignment. Safety is very important for all vehicles on the road. Alignment was completed, all fees remained consistent without surprises, and customer service was the best. I was provided with documentation (txt and paper copies) for my records & to file a claim. Waiting area is clean & well-stocked with a variety of beverages to keep us hydrated during our wait. Entire property is clean & well-maintained. Staff don't just talk, they understand automotive AND human behavior.

Maybe at this time, when we make posts about our experience, we tend to be a little more sensitive because we're already stressed about our vehicles. Overall, the customer service I received was phenomenal--truly nothing to complain about. Nathan and Luis both went above and beyond with their STAR-quality service. Honestly, if I could, I would steal Luis to come work for me--I manage several stores, and that level of professionalism and customer care is exactly what I look for.
