I got my oil changed there and they let me know my cabin filter is okay, I trusted them but The next couple of weeks I start feeling like crap cause of my allergies. If the cabin filter is even a tiny bit dirty I like it replaced. I came back and they did nothing, wouldn't even look at it. I explained it's a medical issue and if they can at least show me how to open the compartment so I can see and they just tried to reassure me again that it's part of the service, if they said it's OK then it's fine. They don't really care that I'm telling them It's a medical condition and I need it changed if it's even a little dirty. Talk about having your back: They've done it again. Went in for an afternoon oil change and a check on squeaky brake. Raul changed the oil. When I went to pick up the car, Raul gave me the news. The brakes were desperate for an overhaul and the brake fluid had moisture in it. We'd have to make an appointment right away. "how about tomorrow" When I told him that tomorrow I had to make a trip up the coast he said without hesitation,"Oh no it won't. this car is not making any trips until this is done!" "But I have to testify at a hearing tomorrow!" Again without hesitation he said, "Nope, this car is in a dangerous condition. Then he looked at his day book, "I can rearrange my afternoon schedule and we can get it out by 5:30 or 6 today." I said, "Sure, let's do that." At 5:25 I received the call. "It's all done" and they drove it to me. These guys really care about what they do for their customers and they go out of their way for safety even at their own inconvenience. Let's see, I take the car in at 3:30 pick it up at 4:05. Charged for .9 hours labor(@ $150.00per hour) went back and tried to get an explanation for the over charge on labor hours. Went back to ask why I was charged .9 hours, all 3 people have the same answer." We shouldn't be penalized for being fast" was the pat answer from all three! Pretty well rehearsed! Absolute saints. While staying in Carmel, the wife and I were on our way to Big Sur in our rental car when we hit a gnarly pot hole on a roadside pull off. It popped the little plastic shield under the car loose and it started to drag when we went over about 25 MPH. We called the rental location and, as always, they were little help. So we called Lemos 76 and they said they couldn't fit us in for an appointment, but if we wanted to run by they could look at it. We did, they said it was a cheap plastic part, and lo and behold in about 25 minutes remedied the issue and reattached -- all for the price of the lift fee. We drove 5+ hours the next day with zero issue. The team was wonderful and did everything to make sure we were back on the road quickly, even without a reservation. Thank you Lemos! My car made a horrible sound on start up 2 months after a new alternator was installed by another mechanic. Kurt knew exactly what the problem was - a belt on the alternator needed adjustment. He fixed it in five minutes and was kind enough not to charge me. I was shocked. I'm so accustomed to being charged hundreds, or thousands to take care of my car repairs.
