At what point should a business put up a sign that says we're no longer accepting new customers? This man has a stellar reputation and I would love to have my car worked on but when it's three weeks out just to take a look with the most basic communication ever. I wouldn't feel confident setting appointment three weeks out and then not knowing what I'm in for. The gentleman works by himself, and I actually had to ambush him as he was walking out to work on another car. He seemed short tempered irritated and not willing to speak to me. Please then go hire a secretary in someone with communication skills so that the customer doesn't feel dumbfounded while walking away. He is very polite and patient- especially if you are patient with his accent. It can be a little hard to get them on the phone, so I just take my car there as early as possible in the am, and they can usually get the work done same day, sometimes they will say come back the next am. So I took my car and my wife's car here because this place was very highly recommended. This ruined a friendship and my wife and I continue to have differences about the service given. My car needed rear brakes and oil change. I provided the pads because I was going to do the work myself. When I picked up my car I was told I needed a battery so I said to the assumed owner okay no problem. When I picked the car up the hood hinge was broken and brake sensor warning light was on. The owner said he tried to find one but was unable to find one. So I offered to find one because I'm a resourceful car guy. The part was very hard to find and a buddy actually found one on the East Coast and Fed Ex'd it to me. This literally took months. The owner stated he'd replace the hood hinge that he broke during the battery installation. The brakes never worked correctly after the so called repair. When I returned to have the hood hinges replaced I also brought to the owners attention the brake job that clearly wasn't done correctly either. But like most of the complaints here he's very rude!! Ignores you as you are standing right outside of the shop door. So you really have to make it a point to say "hey"!!! Zero customer service skills!! Anyway I ask if we can go over the things that were done to my car and a way to get the issues resolved. We walk over to my car and I explain how I located the hinges he broke and how the brakes in the rear were grinding when I looked up from where we were both looking at the brake pads he simply walked away!!!!! He went to help another freshly arriving customer!! I was like WTF!!! He just left me standing at my car!! As I was looking over the bill I also noticed he charged me for the brake pads that I provided!! I let my buddy have it about the service and the complete lack of customer service skills of this place. My wife wants to take her car there at the time of this post and I'm fully against it!! This guy made my car worse than it's ever been, broke the hood hinges, damaged my hood on both corners close to the windshield, did a horrible brake job and sold me an over priced battery that can't hold a charge!! I guess I'll have to report the shop to the State Board!! read more

The owner is incredibly rude, took my car in there to get repaired said he would order parts told me it would take two weeks that was over six weeks ago, never responded back. After several calls and unanswered responses. I had to save my vehicle elsewhere, he does have a very bad reputation in the Monterey county for being rude and unreliable He has serviced a couple of my vehicles, though he has very reasonable prices his demeanor is incredibly some thing of out of the ordinary. Boy, was he ever! I got such a great deal! I dropped off my car first thing in the morning on Monday and by lunch time he knew what the problem was: an ignition coil and bad spark plugs. I approved the work and he had it done in less than three hours and called me to let me know it was ready to pick up. All done for $289 out the door!
