Such a great find. The outside lacks a little luster but there is reasonable parking. Inside is a spacious area with four tops and two tops that could easily be squeezed together for a bigger group. The food was delicious. The menu had signature rolls like the toro bomb which was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, sociable and made recommendations. We enjoyed the food and look forward to coming back.

Uoyakutei is a great spot to grab lunch or dinner! They have a great menu with lots of tasty options and the sushi is always fresh and delicious. Love this local restaurant!!

It's located at the end of the street with parking right in front. The inside is very nice and welcoming. Our server was quick with bringing water which was nice. The prices per roll looked good but keep in mind, they are much smaller than what I expected. We didn't get full with what we normally order. I had to order a second round because it wasn't enough. Overall it was good.

It's very chic inside. Looks dumpy on outside. Very good. Very nicely prepared. Service good. Super fresh. I came for their happy hours 430-6pm. But mainly order off menu. I sat at sushi bar. 2chefs. Large menu and I want unique offerings. They do have wine beer and sake. I didn't drink. Would reco and would return when I'm back in area. My chef was Andy.

We have been in Pacifica for 3+ years and never came here. The service is great! The food was very good and very creative. Loved that they have a great veggie option menu. My mom who is Japanese said the Chu toro and Negó toro rolls were excellent!! Will absolutely make this a regular spot from now on. Don't judge a place by its exterior. We were pleasantly surprised!!

When my husband and I first walked over to this restaurant we were a little skeptical. The outside looked like a former Jack in the Box, but you should never judge a book by its cover. Or in this case, don't judge a restaurant by its former paint. Whenever we go on vacation we love to grab a few sushi rolls and sip on hot sake. This place definitely satisfied our craving! We ordered: -Chicken Karaage which came with spicy aioli. The fried breading was a little thicker than we are used to, but the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. -Tuna Lover Roll (spicy tuna, asparagus tempura topped wth blue fin tuna and crunchy flakes) was my favorite! You can never go wrong with blue fin tuna! Yum!! -Giant Roll (unagi, avocado topped with walu, onions, scallions, tobiko and friend garlic) was pretty interesting. It had a lot of different textures from the onions and garlic, but still really fresh. -Warrior Roll (salmon, avocado, lemon topped with hamachi and garlic sauce) really packed a flavor bomb in your mouth. It looked the simplest, but probably had the most flavor. The mix of lemon and garlic really push through and complement the salmon. We here for a early dinner around 5pm and it had a good amount of people. No wait, but I could tell that it would start getting crowded after we left. The servers were nice and quick with our food and drinks. They kept the sake flowing so we were having a blast! Such a chill spot to grab some delicious and fresh sushi! Love it!

I give four stars because I have only tried a small portion of their menu. I come for the sashimi. The chef's favorite 7 piece is my go-to. I pair it with garlic edamame. They go well together. The balance with the hot sake makes it a complete meal, and then topped off with the green tea ice cream. A full four course meal, well priced. It's one of the best sushi places in Pacifica, conveniently located off HWY 1. Come alone, or with friends or with kids - there's something for everyone. Good space.

My family and I ordered dinner from this Japanese restaurant via DoorDash. I got the main dish for beef teriyaki. The beef was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It came with miso soup, salad, and rice. I also ordered a California hand roll which I enjoyed because it had real crab meat. My family was also satisfied with their meals and rolls so we'll definitely be ordering from here again.

Yoshe Nabe hot pot and 49er roll
    ulysses l.

I sat at the bar to watch the sushi chefs at work and for quicker service. It was a little cold out so I decided to have something warm, and I never pass on a 49er roll. The broth in the seafood hot pot was bland which was disappointing because it carried over to the seafood. It needed depth of flavor to bring it all together. The salmon in the 49er roll tasted fresh. The roll was small but good. I gave it a 3-star rating only because of the friendliness of one of the sushi chefs. The real question is - would I come back? Probably not...

Saw this cute Japanese restaurant when I pass by Pacifica . The stuff is friendly , the waitress recommended their specials and patiently answer all our questions. I love the Santa Barbara uni and the fresh sashimi. Especially the scallops, they so tender & sweet . I would recommend this place to my other friends.

The most recent visit was slow and non-existent, and we weren't able to get a table, with only one person on the floor in the front house hosting, serving, and bussing. The person was working hard, which is commendable, yet didn't acknowledge people coming in (in addition to us) with a "I'll be right with you" or "We're short-handed"...barely even a glance actually at all. Can't really fault them; they were setup to fail. We went to Soul Rice instead. There are other options.

When we entered, I clearly told the staff that my daughter was only 18 months old, but they still insisted on measuring her height, as if they needed to see her passport! After we were seated, I ordered my soup and requested a separate soup for my daughter. They refused, saying it was for "safety reasons." Of course, I would never put hot soup in front of my baby. I am her mother, and I understand that her safety comes first. What made this even more frustrating was that they wanted me to pay $22 for her soup, even though their menu clearly states that children under 3 years old eat for free. According to the employees, this instruction came from the manager on duty, Robby. We regularly eat at Seapot Sunnyvale, where the service and ambience are always excellent. They simply ask my daughter's age, and because she is only 18 months old, they allow her soup at no charge. They have never measured her height. If the Daly City location follows a different rule, then the instructions on the menu should be updated and clearly explained to customers. Robby, I believe managers should be properly trained before directing employees on how to handle situations like this. Because of this experience, I did not enjoy my food at all. I left feeling frustrated and extremely disappointed. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.
