The selection is great lots of choices. The poke with soy and with oyster sauce was a little salty for me. The servers were really busy.,The place is clean and well organized. It was pretty quiet.

This is the only place I eat poke at, it's amazing the fish always feels fresh, the portions are amazing.

Ordered a large custom bowl. Service was quick -- basically tell them the size then your base and protein, then move down the line to tell them the toppings and sauce you want. I really liked that they mixed up the toppings and sauce for you, rather than leaving everything grouped in the bowl. It was quite tasty with plenty of options. Only a few seats in store, but it's on the outside of the mall so additional seating inside it if needed.

Maybe it was an off day, but both the service and the fish were off. First off the guy was not paying attention and I kept having to repeat salad, not rice, and he scooped rice anyways and had to throw it away. Wasted food on him not listening. I got the garlic tuna and the spicy salmon. The salmon was really mushy and didn't taste fresh. It tasted like something that as vacuum sealed and just let out to breath and sweat. It tasted gross. The sauces of miso and sweet unagi were just meh. For about $20 I was expecting fresher and better flavor. They give you free imitation crab, but I dislike imitation crab so I wound up not eating 90% of it. Would I go back? Probably not. I'd rather get a roll or a bento box somewhere else instead.

Fabulous and delicious! Why only 4/5? I do believe it is a little expensive compared to other locations in the Bay Area. With that said - to the good stuff. You walk in and the first thing I noticed was that it is very clean at this location. They have plenty of options for protein and add ons. You do have to pay extra for avocado (which I understand), but odd that wakame/seaweed salad is also extra I think $2. Overall love the flavors of the fish and the portions were standard. Would come back again.

Love this gem! As a big fan of poke, I love how considerate they are in portion sizing and really appreciate how beautiful the cuts of fish are. The staff is quick to get through the line and make your bowl, they are also very helpful in picking toppings. This mall poke spot has tons of seating for larger parties and a great self serve station with water, utensils, and sauces.

I was in need looking for a poke spot and I stumbled upon house of poke. I've never been to this location and they make it better than the Walnut Creek location. I got a small poke create your own bowl and I was full, I couldn't finish the bowl haha! I really liked the oyster tuna flavored fish. It was something different for exchange of regular tuna. What I ordered was 2 protein and base to start off: light white sushi rice, Salmon + Oyster Tuna w/ crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumber, avocado, light corn topping, panko, furikake, and the best sauce to top it off: miso aioli, sweet unagi, and sesame oil. This poke bowl was fireee. Portions given were great. I'll definitely come back. They make the fish freshly made as it's refrigerated. No cross contamination was shown during the making of the poke bowls. It was clean and not dirty inside. They had self serve water and drinks to grab and pair with your meal. The service is good.

I saw this branch open recently at Serramonte and we were looking to get some poke so decided to try it! Ordered a couple bowls for the four of us and they were all filled up high with the toppings. There was a decent amount of items and options to choose from the fish to the fresh items and toppings. Small Build Your Own: Ahi Tuna & Spicy Miso Salmon - For a small, it was very full and could be for a meal or two. The pieces of fish were very fresh, large and they gave a lot. It always comes with a free scoop of krab salad and I really enjoyed the fresh ingredients like the mango. I chose a classic pairing that they usually have which was house shoyu and sweet unagi which added umami flavor to everything. A great place to check out if you're craving poke and wanting something that's fresh and definitely worth it for the amount they give.

Same delicious flavors as their other locations but I do have to say that portion size was a tad smaller than their other locations. We dined in and there were several flies buzzing around us and some ants were noted at the water station which may be a little eyebrow raising. No major red flags and food was still delicious.

You lost a star only cause my Poké Bowl was made WAY BEFORE pick up time and by the time it got to me it was COLD! I called and the young guy that answered says ... it should still be hot ... after I voiced my concern! I called at 1:11pm just get exact location and he says my bowl HAS been ready! Not happy with that! It does taste good, but I would've rather have the sushi rice hot !

Fresh poke bowls and salmon. Nice to have fresh poke easily accessible. The location is kind of behind Serramonte mall, next to Macys. Restaurant is really clean and open inside.

I usually get a small here since it comes with two choices of protein! There's a variety of things you can add to your bowl. You can get a custom bowl or a preset one that's on the menu. There's a huge selection of sauces or the preset sauces they have. Workers are a bit quiet. They don't greet you when you come in or ask if you're ready to order.

I built my own poke bowl here and overall it was okay. The place is really clean, which I appreciate. Josh made my bowl and he was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience nicer. The only downside was that my poke bowl turned out too watery, so the flavors got a bit lost. But the texture was actually good -- I liked the crunch from the seaweed and the toppings. I do like the convenience, the good customer service, and how tidy everything is, but I just wish the flavors were a bit stronger.

It seems San Francisco real next door neighbor is Daly City and it's usually considered more like a cousin to city of San Francisco. You can find a Wendy's in Daly City and not in San Francisco. On a San Francisco break and on the first day of March Winter stroll in Daly City I landed at Westlake Shopping Center. There are good restaurants at Westlake like Original Joe's ,Blue Line Pizza, Chick &Jajang , Banana Island , Little Rose's Kitchen, and Tiny Sushi. You feel you are at a casual dining spot in Hawaii. I got the seafood platter plate and it was a bit crunchy and the fried fish was fresh and the fried shrimp was okay. Once you dip it with tartar sauce it becomes tastier. The Mac salad was solid. They also sell cheeseburgers and other plates like loco moco and katsu chicken. The middle of the store has a nice selection of Hawaiian snacks to browse, while the refrigerator along the opposite wall is stocked with drinks and a few side dishes, including kimchi, available for purchase. On this visit, we ordered the Shoyu Ahi Bowl with greens, the Hawaiian Style Ahi Bowl with greens, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage plate. The Kalua Pork & Cabbage was the standout. It came with macaroni salad and rice, the portion was generous, the pork was tender, and the cabbage was soft, well-seasoned, and tasty. The ahi itself had a great texture and tasted fresh. However, both the Shoyu Ahi and Hawaiian Style Ahi bowls were already well-marinated, and the greens were dressed with the same sweet soy based sauce. The combination made the bowls a bit too salty and sauce heavy, which overpowered the natural flavor of the fish. By the time we finished our bowls, we found ourselves reaching for coconut water to help balance the saltiness. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean, the staff was efficient, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage was definitely worth ordering. I just wish the ahi bowls had a lighter touch with the sauce so the freshness of the fish could really shine. We'd be happy to come back and try some of the other menu items. :)

Also, nothing is served with mac salad... The prices are pretty decent for SF. Maybe that's why this place is popular. They are takeout only and have one bench outside for you to eat at if it's free. Tried the garlic shrimp, the moco loco (idk why they swap the words), and the furikake chicken. Also had a spam musubi (when I ordered online for pick up, I couldn't add egg which is usually an option according to the Toast website). The garlic shrimp was missing a flavor that Hawaii has in their garlic shrimp. The color was very red but it was not spicy. They do have an option to make it spicy though. It was bland to me compared to what I'm used to when I visit Hawaii. The moco loco gravy was good, but the beef patty tasted dry and overcooked. They did have a runny egg too but it was oddly underneath the patties, so we broke the eggs while trying to split the beef amongst 3 people. The furikake chicken is probably better if you eat it right away since it's lightly breaded. We took it home so by the time we ate it, it was soggy. The sauce it is cooked in is a little sweet and wasn't too bad. The soggy chicken ruined the texture for me though. Each dish was served with a little bit of cabbage which I liked to get a little greens in the meals. The spam musubi didn't taste like it had any sauce, and they used so much furikake underneath the spam, that it made it taste fishy. Would not recommend. I can't comment on the service much since I ordered online for pickup. The guy who handed me my food after asking my name was nice and polite though. The only reason I'd come back is to try to the shave ice. The group in front of me got 3 for their kids, and it looked tasty. I would not come back for the food, but at least the prices aren't bad for SF standards.

I asked where he got it, and he pointed me to a spot just down the street (not to be confused with the other Hawaiian BBQ place close by called Aloha). I pass this place all the time, but the parking is terrible, so I usually just keep driving. Yesterday I happened to be on foot and finally stopped in. I noticed a PASS inspection sticker in the window (isn't it usually an A? I'll Google that later). It's strictly a food shop. No tables, no décor, nothing fancy. Just a big menu on the wall type of place. The menu is simple about 4-5 meat options and a few sides, and you build your combo. I ordered a small plate since I tend to overeat and appreciated that option. I got the chicken katsu with rice and mac salad and it was perfectly portioned. The chicken was great. No notes. The steamed rice was just a little overcooked but still tasty. The mac salad was decent, though I expected a bit more from what seemed like an authentic spot. Oh and of course, the sauce, so good. My only complaint is they need to pack two sauces in the to go bag, not one. Total came to $10.85, which feels like a steal. It completely satisfied me and definitely beats driving all the way to Chipotle (my usual lunch stop) and spending $15-$18. No photo because I was too hungry and ate it in the car. I'm excited to bring my husband back and see what he thinks.
