I got the garlic tuna and the spicy salmon. The salmon was really mushy and didn't taste fresh. It tasted like something that as vacuum sealed and just let out to breath and sweat. It tasted gross. The sauces of miso and sweet unagi were just meh. For about $20 I was expecting fresher and better flavor. They give you free imitation crab, but I dislike imitation crab so I wound up not eating 90% of it. Would I go back? Probably not. I got a small poke create your own bowl and I was full, I couldn't finish the bowl haha! I really liked the oyster tuna flavored fish. It was something different for exchange of regular tuna. What I ordered was 2 protein and base to start off: light white sushi rice, Salmon + Oyster Tuna w/ crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumber, avocado, light corn topping, panko, furikake, and the best sauce to top it off: miso aioli, sweet unagi, and sesame oil. This poke bowl was fireee. Portions given were great. I'll definitely come back. They make the fish freshly made as it's refrigerated. Small Build Your Own: Ahi Tuna & Spicy Miso Salmon - For a small, it was very full and could be for a meal or two. The pieces of fish were very fresh, large and they gave a lot. It always comes with a free scoop of krab salad and I really enjoyed the fresh ingredients like the mango. I chose a classic pairing that they usually have which was house shoyu and sweet unagi which added umami flavor to everything. I built my own poke bowl here and overall it was okay. The place is really clean, which I appreciate. Josh made my bowl and he was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience nicer. The only downside was that my poke bowl turned out too watery, so the flavors got a bit lost. But the texture was actually good -- I liked the crunch from the seaweed and the toppings. Today is the second time I am here with my husband. Compare to last time, the server is not as friendly. He is not smiling and kind of have a bitter attitude while making our Poké. The food is still good, just if the server is more upbeat and friendly, the meal is more different . Also last time when we look out of the store it was with a clear sky with some mountains to see (around 6 something in the evening). But I think they have a reward program where you can put your phone on and enjoy future benefits?! The person that helped us was great. She explained the options and was very friendly. The poke bowl was fresh and was a good portion. The one on the picture was a small which had two types of poke (the museum has 3 and large has 4). The ingredients were fresh and were a nice blend of seasoning. Only complaint - my bowl did not include the zucchini noodles. It had been replaced with brown rice. I was trying to watch the carb intake, so this was disappointing. Just my luck I happened to look today and there was 2 left. Just in time too bc my mom is coming back to the mainland tomorrow to cook some sinigang and fried salmon belly pieces from this bag! Definitely generous and the pieces are very meaty. I'd say there's about 2 lbs of salmon in here and it was dated today, as they cut up the fish today! There's a head, a collar or 2, some belly pieces, and even a few meaty bone pieces. I highly suggest picking up a bag if you know what to do with what's given to you for $5.99. I consume raw fish pretty regularly from different places all the time for the last 10 years. Consistently. Raw seafood is my number one. That being said I never get sick from raw fish, poke, sushi etc. Like NEVER. Today I got food poisoning from this place. Literally the only thing I ate today so there are for sure no other culprits. To add, they also raised the prices here from what they were before. It's unfortunate because this has been my favorite poke spot in the area for over a year. This place is so good I even went 2 days in a row with my boyfriend, who also loves this place. I was content with poke places that only mixed sauce combinations in a made-to-order fashion, and poke house also has this option, but they also have fantastic pre-marinated options as well. I always get the garlic oyster tuna option; sometimes tuna can have a fishy taste or look like it's been sitting there for a while, I've never had a problem with this option.
