Terrible service. To start out, I ordered a mtn dew for my drink and the waitress gives me a Diet Pepsi. Took me ten minutes to flag her back down to tell her I got the wrong drink. It took her another ten minutes to bring me my actual drink (and still had yet to take our food order). When she brought it to me, there was a fruit fly in it! She snatched it from my hand and then, again, took another ten minutes to get me a drink. When she took our order, she pulled a chair from another table, shoved my silverware out of the way, and sat at the table to take our orders. I was speechless. In what restaurant is that okay or professional? I know smaller businesses are supposed to add a "personal touch" but the waitress should not be touching my stuff to make room for her to sit at my table to take my order. That is insane. She was overall just terrible and super slow. Which made no sense, because she only had two other tables. It is not somewhere that I will be going again. If I could've left a $0 tip, I would've. My order was wrong and when mentioned, the server's response was, well I wrote it correctly on the paper for the cook and walked off. There was no offer to resolve the issue. I then overheard the sever mention the issue to the lady at the register, and told her to be prepared for me to mention. There's no signs for cash only, and was only told cash only after the meal. I had to walk to another store to use the ATM. The food was below average. I remained respectful, paid and tipped, even though they weren't deserving. While going for florida springs we decided to try this family owned breakfast place. The decor of the restaurant was amazing and it was beautifully decorated. The walls of the restaurant depicts its history from beginning. The server who came to us was kind and generous and completed all our requests with a smile on the face. To start with we started by coffee. For breakfast we ordered veggie omelet, Banana pancakes, French toast with 2 sausages. Banana pancakes was an amazing dish. It was mouth licking. We believed that french toast was okay and it could have been better. The only disadvantage is that they dont accept cards. They accept only cash. The food was terrible, nothing was memorable. We ordered biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were dry and hard as a rock. The gravy had no flavor whatsoever, my entire plate was cold. I told our waitress and she took my plate and came back with the same plate less than 2 minutes later. My food was microwaved!! Nothing there is fresh or homemade, it's either frozen or from a can. First time trying the one at Barclay crossing as we normally go to the one on 19 by Target (which we went to first but there was a big party and we didn't want to wait). We have always had a great experience and thought since they are the same place we would try the other locations.....boy were we wrong!! The dinning area was packed to the brim to the point that even the smallest person could not get between the tables...and the you are basically crammed against the wall (which I understand since it was mother's Day) but then after waiting for 30 min the kitchen music was sooooo loud it was vibrating the dinning area and we still had no food, no refill on drinks and no one everCame to check on us or even at the least apologize for the wait!! We did ask the manager to turn the music down which she went to the back had them turn it down but as soon as she came back into the dining room they turned it back up again. The food and service is comparable to a hospital cafeteria. It used to be better but it seemed to have gone downhill. This was our second, second chance and last chance. The manager was rude and our server, Nancy was horrible. She was our server last time and we swore we would not go back. Today was a second chance and their final chance. We were seated within 15 minutes of our arrival, it was 11ish so not peak breakfast time. We got our drinks quickly and ordered a few minutes later. Our orders were simple, mine was two over-easy eggs, home fries, and rye toast...we left after waiting for an hour. As we were leaving we were told that it would only be a few mote minutes... Had a great experience here, I travel for work and always try the country fried steak and eggs everywhere and happened to be in Brooksville. Service and food were great, it was obvious that the country fried steak wasn't prepared in-house, but it was still good and the eggs and hash browns were perfect. I see a lot of negative reviews from people eating during the rush/busy times, which is understandable from a small mom and pop joint, some people are just assholes. Maybe try a different place if you're an asshole., but I highly recommend it if you're not. read more

The place smells like a combination of old grease and air freshener. If management reads this, deep clean your kitchen and that will go away. If the health department comes, you will get hammered. I build restaurants for a living, I'm not just making this up. The food was reminiscent of the 'hot chow' days back in the Marines when they would cook us breakfast out in the field. Certainly edible, but I won't pay for it twice. I regret not going to the wendys across the street instead of that gives the reader a point of reference. The staff are indifferent and though I couldn't find it posted anywhere, they are a cash only restaurant. Nice, small and very clean breakfast spot close to my house. They cook my eggs just the way I like. They cook my bacon extra crispy. Biscuits are homemade. My mom and I like to split a breakfast and add a side of pancakes. They do this and don't tack on a fee for doing it. It's nothing fancy but it's good. They came out under cooked and when I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she offered to take my partially eaten meal and return it to the deep fryer to continue cooking it. GROSS!!! The host is just rude and would rather sit at the tables of other customers, talking, instead of properly seating guests. The wrong drinks were delivered to our table and the straws came out of the hosts back pants pocket, JUST NASTY!!!
