Up In Scoops is an Ice Cream Shop and FREE sort of 70s, 80s,90s, small museum. You go here and buy something like a banana split, milk shake, ice cream, gelato, or something else, and then you check out all the cool stuff to look at. Some of the tables also have games to play with. We had a spumoni and a chocolate gelato. They were A-OK! and then we had fun checking out the atmosphere. Parking is easy and close. You must try this place if you are in the area.

After eating dinner at Sparrow & Wolf on a Friday evening, my husband and I decided to stop by Up In Scoops for a sweet treat! This ice cream shop is located on West Sahara Avenue, towards the 95 N/S. This ice cream shop is a tribute to the pop culture of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s! I was in awe at the dessert shop! After walking in, I was fully immersed in the vintage posters, arcade games, and all of the memorabilia. Before looking at all of the decorations, I did decide to order first. Their menu has a wide range of ice cream flavors, milkshakes, signature spaghetti sundaes, and so much more! I looked on their menu on Yelp before coming, so I already knew what I was getting, the large peanut buttercup milkshake, with a chocolate base and whipped cream! There were a few other families ahead of us, which gave me plenty of time to look at all of the cool vintage items in Up in Scoops. Some of their arcade games included Donkey Kong and Galaga! On the wall towards the bathrooms, you could see their display of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! There is a large section dedicated to Star Wars! If you're a big fan of Star Wars, you need to come to Up in Scoops just to look at all of their memorabilia! They had a lot of posters on the wall, that you could even purchase! I saw one of Studio Ghibli themed that had My Neighbor Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle (one of my favorites!). After about 15 minutes, the milkshake was ready! It was perfect! Most of the peanut buttercup was blended in smoothly with the milkshake! The service was great! This is a great hidden gem, and if you're in the area, craving some ice cream, you should stop by Up in Scoops!

The best old fashion ice cream experience ever! The huge banana split is awesome! The nostalgic museum collection of items from the 70's and 80's on display is fantastic and worth checking out!

80s /90s theme ice cream shop Decorated from wall to wall with toys, action figures, magazines, movies, musicians, celebrities, posters and cut outs of some of the most popular, colt classic things that the film, music, entertainment and toy genre had to offer from the aforementioned decades. It was a great time to be alive.... The ice cream was good with zero complaints. The customer service was friendly. There were quite a few people ahead of us so the serve time was a bit slow. But we didn't mind because we took the opportunity to exchange a couple of dollars for a handful of quarters to play the Pac-Man and donkey Kong arcade game located at the front of the ice cream shop.

The Good: The place is filled with retro pop memorabilia. Cute concept with all sorts of things to whisk you back in time. Super friendly service. The Bad: No samples, so expect a taste surprise of very mediocre ice cream which reminded me of budget off brand supermarket ice cream. We had 3 flavors, all low quality, unremarkable and not worth the caloric intake. The Ugly: Upcharge to use credit card

Did shopping and seen this spot, at first I was just coming in tot take a look but the kids decided they wanted ice cream. Upon entering the whole spot is a blast from the past, real 90s vibe. I loved the style, they had a variety of items from milkshakes, gelato, ice cream, sodas, water, nachos, and shaved ice. My oldest ordered a cinnamon French toast shake which he gave a 7/10, my youngest ordered one scoop of cookies and cream which okay. There is a charge for using your debit or credit card which I discrete care for. One scoop of ice cream was almost $4 and shakes started at $6. Nice place to Reena's but I probably would've buy here again. Only one person was working ... most likely the owner and there were other people there so, there was a little bit of a wait.

Super cool retro ice cream shop. They have tons of 80s pop paraphernalia so you can reminisce and take pics with Han Solo in carbonite. For an Oreo sundae and it was so ample, I thought I would die. It better be for the price. Only a couple of cons for this place- I didn't like being forced to tip since trying to not tip voids the transaction and the employee had to process it again. This happened to other customers so it definitely is shady. Also, the place kinda smells like garbage. If it weren't for those two things, I'd love the place.

So happy to find this place , it reminds me of my child hood. They had so many options for treats . I also loved the games at the tables.

LOVE this place! It gives me so much great nostalgia, I'm sad I didn't come visit sooner! Great place to take the kids as they have some board games and machines to play. Plenty of areas to take pics. The guy at the counter was awesome and kind. My son loved his ice cream, although a simple chocolate ice cream lover, he devoured it. Would definitely come back and recommend to those visiting.

Great little spot, fun, and reasonably tasty ice cream. The room is covered with awesome 80's memorabilia taking you back to the day.....

I was craving some ice cream and my husband found this spot and I'm glad we stopped by. The decor was all nostalgic 80's decor, games, magazines, shows and movies. I didn't have a clue on what to get and the server suggested an ice cream that was so amazing!! I wish I ended up getting another scoop lol. I took some pics of the ninja turtles stuff they had bc my husband is a huge fan!!

They have three different styles which include ah boong (served in taiyaki), upside down (taiyaki in a cup), or just a cup. The taiyaki also has a variety of fillings to choose from. And variety toppings can be added without extra charge. Of note, this place is cashless! I just wanted a cup so I did not order any additional taiyaki. You can take your order to go and leave, but they also have some seating in the shop if you want to stick around to enjoy your cold treat. It's styled similar to high school bleachers where the seats are made of wood. Plenty of lighting to take pictures, along with a decorative wall if you're into that! Fairly kid friendly place too, where they can sit and enjoy their soft serve; I would not recommend having them run freely as there's not much room especially during busy hours.

They have been voted Best Custard by many newspapers and magazines around the world. I remember coming here on many hot summer nights as a kid and enjoying the yummy custard that would make you forget the heat. This is a walk up, place your order and go type of establishment. My standard order has always been the hot fudge sundae but they offer so many other options. If you want a frozen pint they have those too. Service is always quick and efficient. On our visit, there were several sketchy people in the lot and some going to the adjoining liquor store. While most of the customers were nice family looking people, a few of them were on the sketchier side too. If this were the only issue, we would go back, but there were other issues as well. However, for the positives, parking was limited, but sufficient. Business was good and there was both a line and numerous people waiting for their food. The order area is well lit at night. Most of all, the servers are very friendly, helpful, and patient. Unfortunately, the rest of the downside are the most important things. The serving cup size is good, but the ratio of custard to hot fudge/toppings was way off. Most places do not give enough fudge/chocolate sauce/toppings, but here the ratio was half and half. This MIGHT have been ok if the fudge and toppings were layered as at other places that do not skimp on toppings, but here the fudge/toppings were the top half of the cup and the custard at the bottom. This made it difficult to get the custard and to get a proper ratio of custard to topping. Kind of like rationing your meat and rice or potatoes so you have some for each bite--you could not do this with the custard and toppings here. The custard quality seemed like it might be ok, but it was hard to tell due to the ratio and serving structure. Overall, Nielson's custard has the more standard concretes with mix ins and a larger portion size than Luv-it. Freddy's frozen custard, although not as good as Nielson's was still also better than Luv-it. If Luv-it could either layer its toppings and you have concrete custard consistency, then it could be rated higher. As is, you are better off driving the distance to Nielson's or just going to Freddys. Still, if you must go to Luv-it, just be aware of your surroundings and you will still get an ok dessert.

Before that time and throughout our visit here, the line got longer and longer, and eventually all the seating inside was filled up. It was already a bright day yet the inside is lit about as bright to match the daylight hues. That and also the heat outside made me and my friends come here to grab another matcha as we already had a nearby place just 10 minutes ago! For this part of our matcha run, I got their large matcha latte float with a matcha and strawberry ice cream mix, while my foodie friend got the same float as well only with ube soft serve and a medium-size instead. Matcha is strong and ceremonial with grassy tones that were slightly dulled by the sweetness of the drink; the matcha ice cream had that same ceremonial hit as the latte but the strawberry ice cream didn't pair with those earthy tones very well since it was a different kind of sweet. I also found my friend's ube ice cream the better addition to the matcha latte than my matcha-strawberry mix. I still enjoyed what I had, and the float by itself still hit well. They have a ton of other drinks and even a banana matcha latte I would give a try in another visit to this location in the future!
