One of my favorite spots in Northern Virginia! Huge huge arcade selection from skee ball to jug toss to VR sets and fun basketball games. There has been a couple of occasions when machines werent working properly. So... this was an interesting experience in customer service! I used the FANZO sports bar finder website (fanzo.com) to determine that a pay-per-view boxing event was "confirmed" (per the website) to be showing at Dave & Buster's Fairfax this past Saturday afternoon. I called the location ahead of time that Saturday and spoke to a D&B employee, who put me on hold to check with her manager. She returned a short time later and confirmed that the bar would be showing the boxing event. I drove 20+ minutes to the location and, after waiting at the bar for a while, was told that no, Dave & Buster's would not be showing the event--even though it had been listed as "confirmed" on the sports bar finder website and despite management apparently confirming it over the phone less than an hour earlier. Later that night, I emailed Dave & Buster's Guest Relations (corporate) to explain what had happened and express my frustration with the experience. To my surprise, they responded promptly the next day (on a Sunday!), apologized, and credited me with Dave & Buster's gaming chips as a gesture of goodwill. (I did have to pay a little out of pocket to purchase the Power Card needed for Guest Relations to transfer the gaming chips, but I nonetheless very much appreciated the goodwill gesture.) So I'd definitely rate the initial experience at the location a 1, but I'd rate D&B Guest Relations' prompt response and gesture of goodwill a 4 or 5. So they get a 3 overall from me (higher than their current Yelp average). I'll say that my experiences at this venue prior to this past weekend have generally been good. I just don't think I'll feel comfortable relying on watching any pay-per-view sporting events at this location anytime soon, and - given the experience I had here - would warn others to independently verify any pay-per-view event before making the trip, even if Dave and Buster's staff confirms it over the phone. read more

Well after all it is Dave & Busters so expect.....very little. The drink I had (old fashion) was poorly made. The bartender was curt and not very accepting of any criticism. The wait staff is paying the price as I can't give a good tip for the lousy drinks served. I won't be back and I recommend you take your business elsewhere. Save your time and money. read more

The service was on the slower side, but the place was busy... we had 4 or 5 people stop by and check on us--which we ordered items through each one but found out we had one server and the orders got all confusing. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for who, when, or how staff checked in on us and helped us... The food was subpar. Not really worth the wait. Honestly, I love their food! The bread is so unique and prob my fave of what is on my plate! Chicken fingers are solid, same with the fries and pizza. The cookie took me by surprise, I ended up getting another one! Service was exceptional for the large group we were traveling with. The ambiance was great, not super rowdy. Stopped by on a brisk Friday afternoon. There was ample parking available in the private lot. When we walked in, it was just as expected in comparison to other D&B establishments I've visited. The signage was plentiful and clear - we found the card reload machine easily. We came for the games as we'd already had lunch so unfortunately I have no comments on the food. It did however smell amazing. The vibe was nice; very family friendly. There were only a couple pieces of equipment out of order that I noticed which wasn't a major drawback to me at the time. We popped in for a family dinner and no one was working at the main counter so we meandered to the dining area and were directed to sit wherever we desired. Bethany was our server and she was warm and friendly and provided excellent suggestions, checking whether we needed any modifications to our dishes. I truly appreciate it when the wait staff is familiar with the menu items and ingredients. All the dishes were decent however the standout was the salmon bowl. It was full of flavor and was beautifully constructed as well. The veg sides we ordered (cauliflower elite, blistered green beans and Cole slaw) all fell flat, improperly cooked and seasoned. After dinner, we played in the arcade and there were no surprises there other than a few machines that were out of order. I still wish there were more hand sanitizer placed around the area. Had a waiter sleeping in a booth, no waiter came to greet us and it just seemed like there was a general lack of "give a crap" among the staff. On Monday since it was Memorial Day and we were in the VA area, we decided to stop this one. Victor "who was at the entrance" was very friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere to enjoy an evening. We played a couple games around the room. We decided to play the pool game and grab some drinks and food how ever we didn't get to the food part. The person serving the drinks is the reason I'm giving you guys a 1 star, just as I've explained to the manager that was on shift. Each time I went to order a drink I was buy past and severed after the person that came after me. After 3x we decided to just leave, we paid for 1hr game but only stayed for 1/2 of the hour. Absolutely everything was horrible! We had our Christmas company party here and it was beyond AWFUL! Food was brought out late, burnt, dried out and missing dishes. I had to hunt down the event managers to get the remaining stuff and to get the "unlimited" drinks refilled because they were completely out. I got power cards with unlimited gaming. Well none of them worked for the "unlimited" part. I had to get a manager one more time to get this fixed. The amount of time I spent chasing managers to get things right was ridiculous. Came here with a friend to enjoy both the games and the food here at Dave and Busters, left with an average experience. We specifically went here on a Thursday to catch the games while eating some of the food, since they had an AYCE Wings special ($23.99), the arcade was just a bonus really. The Food: Went here for the wings. And the score is a 3/5. For the AYCE option, they only had 3 flavors available to choose from, Honey BBQ, Buffalo or Plain. I should've gone plain because both the BBQ and Buffalo were so heavy on the sauce and it's aroma just hit your nose in an uncomfortable way. Also, after each order we placed again, the quantity got smaller and smaller, which was weird. The Arcade: Plenty of arcade games for all ages. And, there are a variety to choose from. There were some new games that I haven't seen from other D&B locations, so that was nice to see. The Service: Service was okay. Going early for dinner, we didn't expect the crowd level at the dining area to be packed, so service should've been good. However, the service here wasn't all that great. Staff were friendly, but just not attentive enough. Food came out very slow, and even check ups/re-orders on food were slow too. Overall, a 3/5. An average arcade with decent games. I enjoy this place for what it is: a giant arcade. I wouldn't say there's much other reason for going. I've been here multiple times with my family and I'd say it's a great place for groups. It's got lots of lights and games in the space. There's prizes if you get enough tickets but most of the prizes you'll get are just typical cheap toys or products. The food here is not anything to write home about. It tastes like any chain food really. They could replace the food with Chili's or Applebee's and we'd probably never notice. The service here is good. Rush ally the wait staff are pretty on top of getting you what you need if you are eating there. There's also a bar top with pretty good service. The credits are fairly priced in my opinion. I wouldn't say it's super expensive. The more cards you get, the more of a discount you get as well. Pro tip: you can save your tickets earned if you bring back your previous card and combine it with your new one. There's also a parking lot so parking is abundant and easy to get in and out of. It's also in the same shopping center as Fair Oaks Mall so it's close to a lot of other things. read more

Service was awesome! Our waiter was Ed and he was friendly, observant and just a good person! We went Saturday early evening around 4pm so it was lots of people but not crazy. We encountered 1 game that didn't work so that's a huge plus in my book. It was my son's birthday so the atmosphere was great in that aspect. My order was one of their hickory burgers. They gave me a form to fill to report it and asked me for my card number. They will try to offer you a $25 gift card, pls don't accept it. Report them to the health department if you get sick from their food. We also ordered fried calamari, it tasted like microwaved food. Soggy! Came in on a Friday night- and overall had a fun experience but a few things stood out as sub-par. To be very fair it's a Dave and Busters I wasn't expecting the food and drinks to be outstanding but was expecting better than what i got. The espresso martini was horrible and that's a drink I order everywhere - it tasted like pure syrup. I couldn't even finish it. Tip- stick to the basics beer and white claw! The boneless chicken wings were fine, I didn't love the sauce I chose but that's not the restaurants fault, I recommend sticking to Buffalo (again just stick with basics here) the truffle fries were not good- my friend found them inedible which I did eat mine but they definitely didn't taste like truffle and were very oily. To be fair the food and drinks weren't horribly priced. So I give a point in that category. Our waitress was very candid about wanting to get off work and not wanting to be there - which as a server myself I can relate to the sentiment but you shouldn't let your guests know that information. It was clear none of the staff wanted to be there and they weren't faking it either. Next we waited at the bar to buy game cards and had to wait like 10+ minutes to be approached at a nearly empty bar. We told the male bartender what we wanted and he said he'd go get them never to be seen or heard from again. So when the female bartender came up we asked her and she was able to get us our cards right away. Then the guy saw that and gave us a sheepish look and acted like he was getting us taken care of all along (he totally wasn't). Once we got our cards the definite hi-light was the games- for $20 we got over an hour of entertainment and got to play lots of different things. I loved the arcade and the only employee who actually looked like he was enjoying his job and was friendly to me was the guy working the floor and he was giving out tips and tricks - shoutout to him. The prize selection was good and we all walked out with prizes we loved and had fun, but the service was lacking: and the final thing was the cleanliness of the women's bathroom needed a lot of work - multiple toilets clogged and only one stall had toilet paper! Even theme parks have cleaner bathrooms than this Dave and Busters! I'll be back for the games and a white claw but skipping the food and cocktails next time! Service still a let down. Literally tried to call 5 times to ask about information. No one answered so I drove in person to ask and mentioned how no one picked up. Some manager said no one could answer as an excuse for not answering or returning calls for 3 days No sense of accountability ability when I simply suggested to make sure the phones can be reached and be diligent he just side eyed me seemingly annoyed and walked away without even acknowledging the wrong. The Basketballs came out so slowly, too. The Grab N Win claw machine had the stuffed toys so jammed in that you couldn't really have fun trying to get them. Connect 4 game's basketballs were kind of flat. The Tons of Tickets game's claw was defective as part of it was broken or loose. Star Trek Coin Pusher game kept getting stuck. The dining area is small , so I'd recommend eating elsewhere if it's a busy time. My biggest complaint would be there's no attachment to the mall. No games we tried were out of order. The prize area is clean and organized, but lacks much for under 1000 tickets. We understand there were lots of people waiting to order but after waiting for a good ten minutes of the same person walking back and forth, we finally made our order.
