On Monday Nov.14th. 2022 Rich the driver arrived in 30 minutes and was able to release the parking brake on my 1989 Taurus SHO and was able to tow it to USA Transmission . He was very capable and helpful and loaded my car with ease. I was in an accident on Friday and Upman's was dispatched to tow my undrivable car. I requested it be taken to my body shop but was told that, since they were closed, they had to take it to their tow yard, They loaded my car, left me (a 58 year old woman) on the side of the road with a suitcase, and drove away. I was told that if I wanted things out of my car, I would have to pay a $50 gate fee. I went by the next day to drop my spare key and found my car in the mud. I couldn't get to it to get my things. I arranged for it to be towed to the body shop and it was moved today. My car had been rifled through and anything of value had been stolen and everything else was just tossed all over the interior. They had also thrown body moulding and parts that did not belong to my car in my cream-colored leather interior. They had left my car unlocked in their yard. They charged storage fees and did nothing to protect my vehicle. They will never, ever touch anything belonging to me again. I would not recommend them to anyone for anything. Shame on them for their business practices. read more

I was in two car accidents about 6 months apart (both not my fault). I assume Upman's Towing has a contract with the Bradenton Police Department to tow undriveable vehicles away from the scene of an incident, as they were contacted both times by the responding officers. Both times I had property and cash stolen from my vehicle. I would not recommend using their services. read more

And none of the guys coworkers seemed to think it was weird their colleague was having a tantrum to a customer? Rude rude rude the driver a gentleman probably in his late 50s early 60s start screaming and yelling at cars behind him in a lot where he's parked in a right hand turn lane because apparently he needed to back up without nicely telling the cars behind him he proceeds to use Val Garritys as well as hand gestures to people with cars with children in them absolutely unacceptable behavior especially from a professional company I would never use this towing service read more

I had to evacuate for Hurricane Irma. When my flight landed back in Florida at 1 AM I was informed someone towed my car from my apartment. I live in a flood zone. My car was apparently parked in a restricted area of my apartment complex. So I called to inquire about the tow. Abby, who is possibly the worst human I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to, was rude and very nasty. The first questions I asked was IF this company towed for my apartment complex. She informed me that they do. She started off by saying I would in fact have to pay to get my car back. She couldn't tell me why, how, or when my car was towed but Abby could tell me that I would have to pay no matter what. She would loudly groan and sign then hang up on me. I might add she hung up on my SEVERAL times. I had to call back repeatedly only for her to tell me she is trying to run a business and hung up on me again. Now I should add after about 45 mins of fighting with Abby, being stranded at the airport, I did get rude right back. Who would expect that after being treated like a dog??? Here is the GREAT part. After Abby put me threw HELL for about a hour or so she FINALLY asked me what kind of car I had. When I told her she said we don't have that car in our inventory... I asked her AGAIN is this company in fact towed for my apartments and she got DEAD. SILENT. Abby was so caught up in being hateful and WANTING to argue she did not even take the time to see if my car was there... Pathetic. After I hung up on her she decided it would be a professional idea to call me back 3 times to continue arguing with me. She is completely ignorant on how to treat people, her communication skills lack (for better words), and she has no idea what she is doing. If you hate your job that much... QUIT. I will be filing with the BBB, Consumer affairs and any other company I can find. I did locate the tow company that towed my car. I wasn't happy to pay to get it out but they treated me with respect and courtesy and I returned the same to them. read more
