A relative newcomer to the burgeoning Bend beer scene, Immersion still manages to impress. Good beer, a nice, large brewpub, great staff and a solid pub menu. Immersion's beer is typical of Bend, which is to say quite good and to my liking. They offer the usual suspects: several IPAs, haze, NW style ale, red, sour. But also some less usual beers, such as saisons and a whiskey barrel beer. Immersion is not a large brewery (yet) so their offerings seem to be more seasonal. ABVs run the scale but in general seem to be a touch lower than at other Bend breweries, which is good in my book. I prefer to drink beer, as opposed to get drunk drinking beer. The space is open and varied. The bar itself could be a bit bigger - a couple of times we've stopped in, there was nary a seat to be had during late afternoon (when most Bendites are in a pub, it seems). The bar tends to clear out as the six o'clock hour approaches. Plenty of table and booth seating. Food: - cajun garlic tots rock - ahi poke is not your usual bar food. Very nice (and not on the regular menu.). - wings are of the 'full' variety and are tasty. I prefer half wings, though. Less messy. - pub pretzel, nice. Everyone has a pub pretzel, probably because they're great bar food. Immersion's is a solid example. - pub fish (also known as fish and chips) is good. The fish is not heavily battered or greasy and the fries (chips) are the thin, almost shoestring variety. The brewpub is not loud, which is outstanding. They have a small outside area if you prefer, although you're sitting next to the large, busy Box Factory parking lot. The parking lot, by the way, can get packed. Recommended. read more

Checking out local breweries while vacationing in Bend, dare I say this place beats out much larger competition/ breweries in the area. But trust me this place does not disappoint! Service was top notch from the time we walked in, thanks Tyler (our waiter)! Great selection of beers on draft. Highly recommend trying Single Scoop a session ale with real vanilla on nitro... talk about a creamy smooth delicious flavor. Kudos to the brewer on this one. read more

I had a lovely meal with my mom here shortly after they opened back up from the COVID closure. This was our first meal out since it all began. We were just a little more than excited. :) We enjoyed a Citra Ascent and a Lady 80-Tower Theater. Both were wonderful and creamy. Gawwwdddd how I missed beer on tap. We shared nachos and fish tacos. Each bite was better than the last. These weren't your traditional nachos. They were made with chicken and a very uniquely tasty cheese sauce. It had all the toppings you would hope for. And the chips were homemade and perfectly seasoned. The waiters were practicing safe social distancing while wearing masks. The menus will be trashed after we leave. And the tables set up inside are only able to accommodate 25% capacity. Overall it was an enjoyable meal with a very tasty rich beverage. Hands down my favorite brewery and restaurant in Bend. All of their beers are so good - their Righteous Double Hazy IPA is hands down the best beer I've ever had. Whenever I come into town from Seattle, it's my go to spot as many times as I can. To top off their food and beer being so good, the hospitality is 10/10. I can't say I was surprised to find out that Chris who has helped me each time I've been is the manager because he's incredible but I have to say even if they food and beer was "decent" I'd still come back for the service and environment - this is the type of person you want leading your business and serving your customers, especially in such a wild time we're all going through. If you want some good a** brew + food and the best hospitality, seriously come here!!! You won't be disappointed. read more

Grabbed takeout and beers. Looked like a cool setup inside to hangout. Was only in there while waiting for food but looked like a cool spot to hang. Service was great. Honey Lager is delicious. Food was split: Salad was fresh and delicious. All veggies were great. Nachos were not great. The queso was not what I expected but had decent flavor. The cheese on top was questionable. Maybe it was the oil used for the chips. Something seemed truffle based or a weird oil. I had a couple chips and had to throw it all away. I tried to pick through and find parts I liked but just ended up being too much work for nothing I really liked. I do not recommend the nachos. Unfortunately, cause it's hard to get nachos wrong. They were just weird and didn't taste very good. Also barely had any chicken. Maybe, they tried to get too crafty with these. I don't know. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was real good! We went here after a disappointing experience at Crux and couldn't have had a better experience. We were waited on by Chris, who was awesome. He let us sample a few IPA's which were all very high quality. I ended up drinking their imperial IPA, which I don't normally drink but this one was spot on. Very well balanced and a great-drinking IPA. My wife had the nitro cold brew, which she is very particular about and admittedly nitro cold brew is very hard to find. However, this was one of her favorites which says a lot. They also had a great sale on women's t-shirts, so my wife got one for $5. I cannot guarantee they'll still have any in stock when you go, but the merchandise here is great so even if you pay full price it's still a great value. I paid full price for their Silipint and was happy to do so. While this isn't one of the more well recognized breweries in Bend for non-Oregonians, I'm sure they will be once others find this hidden gem. One of the best breweries in Bend, hands down. read more

A really cool brewery located in the old mill district, right next to a bunch of fun shops and a cider company. The dining room and bar area is really inviting, and they have a really great tap list. So many beers I wanted to try, although I'm such an IPA fan that are primarily stuck to those. The menu looked amazing, although I didn't eat because I had previously eaten at a different spot that day. The staff was really friendly, and the beers were outstanding. I took some bombers to go, and couldn't help but get some March because their logo is so adorable. I did find out that you can take a brew it yourself sort of course, where you work with a brewer, make a beer, then they bottle it for you and do a custom label. So it's basically a collaboration between you and immersion Brewing! Too bad if you don't live in town, you would have to make a trip back in about two weeks to pick up your bottles. However if you've been to bend before and can take the time you know that coming back here would it be a problem! I will definitely be back to immersion because I love what they are doing with the Rye. read more

We stopped in here briefly when hanging around Bend and we only tried 2 of their brews, so it's a limited review. The beer was average overall, but it looks like they've gotten much better since then, so we definitely have to come back and try some more next time. The taproom was very relaxed and cozy, so this will be a fun stop on our next Oregon trip! read more

Went for burger week. Was our first time. Service was super super slow. Kids ordered pizza and kids burger. The pizza was good, the burger was super well done and dry, my daughter who LOVES burgers spit some of it out and didn't finish. Fries were super limp and barely cooked, no browning. The burger week sliders were also super well done and dry, advertised as "smash burgers" but no crispy edges, just over cooked meat. super bummed. food is so expensive these days its really shitty when its not good quality and the service sucks. we won't be back :( read more

There are a lot of choices for beer and for lunch but we only had time for one good place and after research picked Immersion. I was happy with this choice. The service was a little slow but other than that it was a good experience. My husband and I shared the queso and I had the Oregonian chicken sandwich and he had the special Elk burger. Came here for lunch and a beer today. They only had outside seating which was totally fine because it was gorgeous outside and they had umbrellas. So we got sat and given menus to pursue. A server came by for our drink order, we both asked for a sample of one of their beers. I tried the Hip to the Heat and my boyfriend got the Sexy Girlfriend. Both were good so we each got a pint. Mine was nice light and crisp. His was a sour beer flavored with passion fruit. We decided to split their special which was Cajun shrimp and grits and also the nachos. The food came out and the nachos were massive, a meal in itself. Chips layered with melted cheese, an infused crema, pico and, carnitas. They were really good hot and crunchy. The crema was super tasty and so was the carnitas. The shrimp and grits were two fried polenta cakes topped with shrimp and bell peppers in a white wine butter sauce. Super fresh and flavorful. The sauce was nice and light and didn't take away from the other flavors. We both really enjoyed it. We didn't see our server much she took our order and disappeared. The male server was awesome he was the one who brought the beers and the food and checked on us. I would definitely come back for the food and beers. read more

We love coming to Bend and visiting immersion! We love the food and the service is always friendly and helpful! Beer is great, too!!

I was a little disappointed with the beer. It was Just ok. Pizza is deep dish only.

I am baffled at the 4.5 star rating. The beer, sure, fine, but the food is all reheated straight off the Sysco trailer. The wings are hilariously generic, with grocery store quality BBQ sauce as a last-minute dip. SW Cobb salad is tiny pre-cooked cubes of frozen chicken breast in generic "southwest" seasoning, with remainder of ingredients equally as uninspired. Burger patties are obviously formed and frozen -- and if they are not the problem is even worse. Bringing the word wagyu into the description stretches belief. Sadly this is par for the course here in town, but still disappointing and a large step below the better pub fare in town. I genuinely hate to pile on, but the service was also slow given the half full restaurant, though it was friendly enough. Summary: no reason to return except perhaps for a summer beer on the patio. Note I did accidentally write a review of a different place before, and the owner replied, helpfully pointing out my error. 12/09 UPDATE: my husband and I were back in town and wanted to come back in. Our server was great, attentive, and took time to answer our questions. Like I said before the people and service were great and they still are! For beer, we settled on the River Rider IPA and it was awesome, great PNW flavor. We ordered the pub house burger which my husband called "the best burger he has ever had" and we've had our fair share. So if your a burger fan, highly suggest! My photo of it does not do it justice. I ordered the special, fish po boy and that was also very good! It had a slightly spicy sauce which was delicious. Overall it wasn't too heavy but definitely enough to fill you up, the perfect combo. If you have the chance to meet the owner, he is caring and hardworking! Chances are you will see him serving beer or clearing a table. We will be back for sure!! We spent a couple of fun days in Bend on a road trip and found this restaurant on Yelp. We are so glad we did. The fish tacos were huge and delicious. We are older, like in our 80's, and don't eat a lot these days. Our waitress was kind enough to let us know we could split our order. Along with a salad, it was more then we could eat. The food was perfectly prepared, presented nicely and the kitchen kindly split our order on two plates. We were able to bring our dog on their patio. My husband loved the beer. They have a great selection and I had kombucha, also offered a nice selection. We are still talking about this place two weeks later. You won't be sorry to eat here. read more

Stopped in on a Thursday night for dinner. One of our members is celiac and they were out of GF bread. Ok so she was limited to a salad. She asked for chicken on the salad and when it arrived there was no chicken. Had to remind the waitress and she promptly brought it. You'd think with the number of people with GF intolerance and celiac they would have some fare besides salad available. We ordered the Thai shrimp salad and they were out of the dressing so we had the and sesame oil blend. They kindly offered other dressings like poppyseed but it definitely didn't go. I didn't mind the plain vinegar/oil so much but was surprised they didn't have ingredients for items they show on their menu. Also, menu said the shrimp was sautéed so I wasn't expecting the shrimp to be cold. Like refrigerated cold. Other people ordered burgers and the BLT. Both fine. We ordered beers and cider which was good. Our stuff came mixed up (salad/fries on wrong plates) and that's forgiving. But for being only one of two parties in the restaurant I'm surprised at all the mistakes and can't give 5 stars for this place. May try again when we don't want food. read more
