My friend who lives near here invited me over to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and in the spirit of Happy Hour we decided that ordering their Chicken Fajita pizza would be a splendid combination of the two events. We called in our order and it was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. Add another 5 or so to get home, and then we dug in. I will cut to the chase... it was a fantastic pizza! Upon opening the box, it smelled like a Mexican restaurant which I suppose we wanted it to be like. The crust was supreme and airy and chewy and crispy and everything a pizza crust should be. It would have been wonderful to eat by itself as bread sticks. There was lots of sliced chicken (uniform in size so probably frozen) which was moist and coated in a brown seasoning. Just what the flavor was I could not say, as I am not well versed in Mexican spices, but it was deep and enjoyable. If there was a "sauce" on the pizza I didn't notice, but it had lots of cheese that tasted of mozz. and cheddar. Copious amounts of colorful peppers, maybe tomatoes (I don't remember anymore and the evidence is gone) and onions on only half (not my half... thank you!) finished it off. It was really a knife and fork pizza. I really can't judge them on the standard of an Italian pizza with red sauce and cheese, as this was something else. It was like a Mexican casserole exploded onto an awesome pizza crust. When I ordered it I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I discovered I loved it. We've used Upper Crust many times for Pizza, sandwiches etc and usually pick it up. Today, we're knocked down with Covid and decided a Calzone sounded good for dinner. Definitely a great spot in Clifton Park for pizza as well as a variety of food as well. I recommend the Sicilian pizza over the classic triangle style, as their normal cut pizza has rough dough. The service is great and is a good spot for teenagers looking for work. The time from order to pick up usually isn't long and I can't remember if they deliver or not but it's not far away from the majority of neighborhoods in Clifton Park. The ambiance is alright but it's not much of a sit down and eat place, however ever place has there things. 30 Years in Clifton Park, and this is by far the best pizza in the area.(and we"ve tried them all.) Crust is amazing, toppings are fresh and plentiful. Not your typical pizza sauce. While driving through the CP on a mid Sunday afternoon, I stopped in at Upper Crust to try out one of their pizzas and I was also in possession of an Entertainment coupon (50% off, up to $7 value), which was literally burning a hole in my pocket, USE ME!! This casual pizzeria is located in a little neighborhood strip plaza next door to a Mail Center USA store. The place is order at the counter and there's ample self serve seating in the bright dining area. I looked over the menu which offers traditional & specialty thin crust pizzas, calzones, salads, pasta dinners, sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and wings. I was also in the mood for a baked ziti dinner to go along with the pizza. I noticed they offered a Baked Ziti Pizza and decided to go for it ordering an 8 cut pizza pie ($16.49 plus tax*) since I can have both at the same time! The 18" pizza was hot and ready in about 20 minutes after ordering as promised. I headed over to my buddy's home in Schenectady to enjoy the pizza with some cold ones, while catching the Giants game on his big HDTV. *The discounted total with tax for an 8-cut 18" Baked Ziti Pizza was $10.15. The Baked Ziti Pizza was very tasty and filling to eat. The pizza toppings combination was solid good, topped with al dente cooked ziti, red sauce, chunks of Italian sausage, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. However, I didn't really care for the thin crust, which was crisp dry on the outside (ground wheat flour on bottom) with a light and soft chewy texture on the inside. I often stop here with my son to grab a slice when we are in the go. The slices are fine, but it's not fair to do a review based just on slices. We ordered fresh food last night and I was quite happy. He got the mozzarella sticks and said they were good. I tasted one and thought it was good as well. That's his go-to order at pizza places, so if he's happy with the mozzarella sticks, we'll keep going back! I ordered a small pizza for myself, and it was excellent. They use real sausage, unlike some places that use the small stuff that's half textured vegetable protein (trust me, I used to work at a national chain and their sausage was and is garbage). These were big juicy hunks and it was delicious. The crust was thin, but still chewy and held up well enough that I could eat while driving! Most important, it was tasty. I saved half for later, but it tasted so good I wanted to finish it! Upper Crust is a little far for me to get delivery, so I can't comment on that. The girl at the counter was extremely helpful (I was using a coupon on my phone and had a little difficulty). It's a very nice little place in an out of the way part of town. read more

Really upset with this place, we ordered through mealeo last night and when we got there they told us that they didn't receive our order. Now I understand things happen, but they didn't even offer to make it, just said, "we never got it." I have contacted mealeo and they said that according to their system, someone at the restaurant confirmed our order. Absolutely the best pizza I ever tasted. It was a meat lover's pizza with ham, bacon,sausage, and pepperoni. I used to work in Brooklyn and it was very good, but this pizza blew me away. Their other pizzas such as chicken alfredo are also very good. Their sweet potato fries are great as well as their fried mushrooms. The "secret" place in Clifton Park. We wanted to like UpperCrust because of the delivery convenience and location to our home. However, the pizza isn't great but it's tolerable and if in a rush, you can settle for it. But, my biggest problem and the main reason (besides flavor) we will not return is the slow service. On every occasion we ordered from them for pick-up, they'd say 20-25 minutes, which is okay since it's fresh, right? So I opt to give them an additional five minutes before walking in, once there, I had to wait forever...maybe another 10-15minutes! This happened every time we ordered. So in essence, the pizza is definitely not worth the wait...in this area with mom&pop pizza joints on every corner, I would think UC needs to work on a few things. read more

Out of sheer laziness we ordered last night from Upper Crust. They failed a little more than usual... Pizza was about the same as normal. Not bad but I don't like their crust, it lacks authenticity. Ask for it well done helps some. Wings, while pretty much all around awesome before sucked this time. Multiple "gross" pieces (unidentifiable) and the sauce was too thin and/or too lightly applied. They also were not fried enough leaving the skin rubbery and gross. I don't know if the wing prices running up has made them change their product or what, but they weren't very good, I threw most of them away. Upper Crust just opened a few days ago. I can't say enough good things about this place! We ordered an 8 cut pizza with half tomato and half pepperoni. Wonderful! The sauce is good. Not too sweet, not too salty, plenty of cheese and a good thickness of crust. This is not deep dish or anything but it's not so thin that you need to do the fold. We also ordered medium wings. Mmm, awesome! They were appropriately spicy for being medium. The meat:sauce ratio was very good. Yes, we eat lots of pizza and wings and both of these made me very happy. There menu also has other items like sandwiches, calzones, and traditional Italian dishes. I haven't tried those yet but they looked good from what I saw while we waited for the pizza and wings to go. This brings me to the next detail. There are some tables if you want to sit and eat there. They also have delivery and take out available. I hesitantly gave a 5 star review despite the wait we had for the food. When we ordered by phone we were told 25 minutes. We arrived on time but had to wait another 10 before the order was ready to go. I'm attributing this to the newness of the restaurant and is something that won't be a problem as they get into routines and work out the kinks. To me, the fact that I still scored it 5 stars says something because I am not an especially patient person and waiting for food makes me quite grouchy. We came to CP for hockey. This place is right down the road from the rink and is delicious! The gentleman who took our order was patient (we had 1 kid and 2 teenagers with us) and helpful and mostly, nice! We ordered pizza, wings, crispy chicken salad, burger & fries, and buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was great! The wings were crispy and tasty. We got mild and garlic parmesan (so awesome). The bathrooms are clean, not smelly. The seating area is typical of a pizza shop, also clean. All of our food came out at the same time and was all hot too. Thanks for a great lunch! read more

8:15pm on Wednesday, Aug 14, 2019, hung up by the so called manager twice. I ordered a veggie hand tossed pizza, got deep dish instead. No big deal, called to ask where the mix up went, customer service was beyond unacceptable. Spoke to a person named "Ashley." She began raising her voice, being rude to my mother, and when I spoke to ask what the confusion was, she literally hung up on me. When I called back, picked up again and claimed I thought the conversation was over and instead of offering an apology with her rude attitude to fix the situation and give another pizza, she literally hung up again. No one wanted a free pizza, we just wanted to let you know that something was mixed up, but instead to be scolded and disrespected when trying to support local, I will never be buying from you again. I've gotten their pizza on a number of occasions. And it's always been fine. But last night did I ever get a bummer. Came home late after a long drive. I was within the area when I was very surprised that a pizza place was right on the corner in central Clifton Park! I decided to try the place out, for the first time, and did not have good service at all. The restaurant was almost empty, and it took me almost 45 minutes to get my pizza, and it was a small order, just for me and my wife! I waited that long, and the pizza was terrible. Flimsy crust that fell apart, and the cheese was disgusting. Tasted like artificial garbage. And, the owner was present! Not to mention, the bathrooms are just atrocious. They smelled so bad it was like I was on a farm full of cow manure. Stupidly enough, we tried the place again a few months later. I was present in a neighborhood within less than mile from the restaurant, maybe even less than a half mile! My friends and I decided to call in for delivery, and since we were so close, they said they'd have it to us in no time, aka 20-30 minutes! What a scam! It took them over an hour to deliver a pizza and some wings down the road! Not to mention, the pizza was horrible yet again! The wings were greasy and salty, and had a horrid aftertaste. The sauce was lathered on in a disgusting manner, and the wings were obviously not cooked correctly. The pizza was greasy yet again. I will never return to Upper Crust due to their terrible service and disgusting food. After two chances of eating at this place and having a terrible experience, they would have a lot of work to do in and out of the restaurant for my approval! read more

Horrible! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and 2 'orders' of wings, since they don't sell a dozen, they sell 10. The pizza sauce had a strange consistency and had way too much of several unidentifiable spices, and the pizza itself was messy and flimsy, even after I scraped the toppings off. The wings were extremely salty, and again had a spice neither of us recognized, (celery salt maybe??) but was just disgusting. Even the blue cheese dressing was gross!! After passing by the Upper Crust many times, I finally decided to stop in while running errands. Upper Crust is typical for what you'd find for a pizza and sandwich place in the area, a number of tables and chairs for sit down dining. I really enjoyed their pizza, and was able to get my order fairly quickly. They have a thin crust pizza with a bit of coarseness to the crust, which is to my liking and reminds me a lot of the pizza I had at one pizzeria growing up. I also ordered a tuna sandwich on a hard roll to bring home, and while it was a good sandwich, I'll be more inclined to stop by the Upper Crust to get pizza. read more

Cheese pizza ok. Gluten free, veggie awful. We ordered a 6 cut gluten free. They cut a 9" round pizza into 6 small pieces. Crust made else where veggies were olives, canned mushrooms some onions, inferior toppings. They lost us. They did offer to send another. Really , why. . It is what it is.
