First time here overall pretty good. Food/Drink: Pizza by the slice! Pretty good New York style pizza. Regular amount of options and combos. Full Italian style menu, appetizers, entrees, pizza, soups, salads, and desserts! Pizza: Great crunch not too much, Very flavorful, super oily though, Sauce was good not too sweet could have used a little more garlic. Dinning Area: Pretty large, open, area. Benches, large counter, double closed off entry way so mo breeze. Plenty of seating! Prices: Relatively cheap. 2 slice and fountain special for $9.95! Parking: Plenty of space, shared strip mall lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and regular size. Atmosphere: During the weekday lunch rush, it was a huge snow storm so this would be unfair. It was empty. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was young, and unsociable. Not like the children of my generation. Relatively attentive but otherwise boredom stricken. Let me preface this review to say I am likely biased. I grew up around here and had a friend that lived within walking distance to this pizza shop. A group of us used to order from them regularly and really enjoyed the pizza. So the review may be affected by nostalgia. Fast forward 30 years or so I wanted to order pizza and wings for dinner. Convinced my significant other to give Clifton Park Pizza a try. Drove a good 10 miles to get pizza and wings when there were plenty of places closer to home. Ordered a 12 cut rectangular pizza with sausage and mushrooms, and buffalo wings (comes with spuds (potato wedges)). As good as I remembered. Tasty and flavorful sauce, cheesy, good sausage, the mushroom may be canned but still ok. Pizza is thicker with puffier in a good way. Wings crispy like how we requested. It's good that childhood memory of good things actually holds up to passage of time as that isn't always true. read more

Greasy. If there was a theme of the meal I had from here recently, it would be that. A friend and I decided to get together to watch the Colts game on tv (don't ask) and we wanted to have pizza and wings to go with it. There is a decent pizza place about 60 seconds from his house but they open on Sundays at 3PM. So, we came here. When my wife and I lived in Clifton Park we only ordered from here once because their hours were a little odd. But at least now, they open at noon on Sunday. Parking is near impossible if you get there when they are busy. A telephone order for a pepperoni pizza and 20 medium wings was placed and I picked them up and brought them over. I asked if they had a special for this and they indicated that they did, though I thought soda came with it. So, I don't know. The food was hot, which was good. The pizza was greasy. It appeared to be cooked in a pan and it had nice crispy edges where the fat from the cheese and pepperoni had fried it. The pepperoni grease had nowhere to go except into my tummy, and by the second bite I was looking for napkins to wipe my fingers. I quickly switched to fork and knife. The sauce was very good... I hate dull sauce... and I wished I could taste more of it. But man, was there a lot of cheese. I think most people enjoy that, and I am probably in the minority. The crust was a little doughy as noted in other reviews, but I didn't mind it. It isn't my favorite style of pizza, but once in a while it is nice to mix things up. The wings were different in a good way. They appeared to be breaded and thus were like eating smaller bites of fried chicken. I love that. They were definitely big wings. The sauce didn't taste like medium wing sauce, as there was very little vinegar in it that I could detect. I suppose it might have evaporated in the 10 minute car ride. But, after eating a couple of wings I could detect heat in the back of my throat. So, they were spicy... just not what I would consider typical Buffalo wings. But I enjoyed them. Thrown in the container were also a few potato wedges that were soaked in oil/sauce. it was a lot of grease to ingest in one meal. It won't be in my regular pizza rotation, but it reminds me of when I was a kid and wanted pizza covered in tons of cheese and pepperoni. (And when I was thinner). Good times. read more

BUYER BE WARE! We used to order from this place all the time. Now with so many choices and a few other favorite shops nearby, plus we do try to be a little cost conscious occasionally. So, I look around on-line to see what a large 4 topping pizza and 10 wings might cost me. Well I thought I was going to pay about $35.00 here only to learn when I got there it was $48.13! When I asked why such a difference they told me the website on-line is not them and thats not their current prices! What!! They gave me the back story and told me they have no control over what is published on-line, even though they told me that they do own the domain. I am sorry to say we will NEVER order from this place again. I really feel I got robed. It's not as much about the higher cost as it is about wondering how many other people are being taken advantage of. My family has eaten at CP Pizza for 20 years. We've loved every pizza and the sides, and the purchasing experience... until last night. I was told when I ordered to pick up in 30 minutes. I arrived on time, and waited another 45 minutes. During the time, a gentleman in front of me told me he had been waiting 90 minutes already. (They did eventually refund some of his purchase price once he received his food.) A person behind me was told they didn't have her order, they looked everywhere, and the staff started blaming each other. A lot of staff arguing took place. The 4 employee's were misplacing pizzas, making incorrect orders that ended up sitting around, and burning pizzas. They offered me "my pizza" after waiting over an hour, once they found it, and it was quite burnt. (The rest of the line behind me can attest to this, as by now we were all friendly). I refused, even though they offered to refund my money. (They seemed a bit upset that I wouldn't just take their offer and leave). Another pizza was made, and while doing so I heard more blaming of the other 3 employees for misplacing orders, confusing orders, and not understanding how to take orders. A lot of inappropriate and unprofessional behavior with a line of 4-5 customers waiting. My pizza was mostly ok once received, as only the corner 2 pieces were burnt (and that part tasted pretty awful.) I've never seen a worse operation in such an established facility. I hope this won't be the future or we will not be returning to Clifton Park Pizza. read more

This place was near our hotel and still open, so we decided to try it out. This is not a sit down restaurant, but rather a pick up and go place, not sure if they deliver. This place looks a little run down outside, but it was late and the inside was charming. The staff was super friendly with all of my questions about their menu. We ordered an 8 slice pepperoni and 10 wings and spuds. The pizza was about 12 inches, the crust was perfect but I thought it was too greasy. My son liked it like that, so to each their own. I ordered the wings and spuds with garlic butter sauce. The sauce was more butter than garlic, but fried perfectly. Added bonus: loved the puns on their chalk board with the specials. read more

I moved here about a year ago from out of state and have tried numerous pizza places and none of them have been as good as Clifton Park Pizza. I like their basic cheese and pepperoni pizzas, the crust is perfect not too thin or too thick and has the perfect amount of crisp every time. A lot of these reviews are a bit old. I moved to Chicago awhile ago and when I was home this was the go to place for a pizza and movie night. Whomever picked up the phone was very very rude! Even though I went to pick up the order 5 minutes later than it was supposed to be ready *because they do not deliver* my order still wasn't ready and the woman behind the counter was still rude. This place came highly recommended, so I gave it a go. The toppings were generous, the sauce just right, and the cheese not to thin. The crust wasn't what I'm used to, but it was very tasty, with a buttery-ness to it that had me reaching for a second and third piece. (It was a six-cut, so they were small but hearty pieces!) We were looking for a local Pizza/Wings shop- VERY pleased with this little gem! We ordered Medium "crispy"wings, small pepperoni and small cheese. Everything was exceptional. Sauce for wings was a bit on the hot side- but we like it that way. If you like your wings milder, definitely order mild. We've been ordering from clifton park pizza for as long as I can remember. Tonight was Valentine's day and I ordered a pizza and wings. The pizza was soggy and the wings were covered in nothing but grease. On top of it, we only received 2 potato spuds in the wings (one of the only reasons I order their wings). This place has excellent pizza. There are only two places I order pizza from, and this is one of them. The cheese they use, the sauce, even the crust is delicious. Its always cooked the same, a perfect golden brown crisp, just the way I like it. Their wings are no different, always excellent with a little bit of crisp. We've tried all (currently) 15! pizza resources in Clifton Park and we just keep coming back to Clifton Park Pizza. My wife and I have lived in Clifton Park since 1996 and have tried, and continue to try, every new pizza joint in the area and CP Pizza is consistently #1. The only shop that comes close to CP Pizza is Pizza Plus in Waterford and we also recommended them. The rest are all non-contenders as far as we're concerned. When you order from CP Pizza, you get exactly the same food every time. Other shops: too salty... thick this time, thin the next... not enough sauce, overcooked/undercooked... stick leftovers in the fridge and the cheese is liquidy the next day??!! Even Dom's Pizza (Latham), as good as they CAN be (not to mention pricey), is not consistent; you never know what to expect when you get home and open the box. CP Pizza is the only pizza in Clifton Park that is consistent and holds up to our standards. It's the exact same pizza today that we've been ordering since 1996. read more

They don't take card. Cash only. I had to pay an atm fee in the shop to take out cash to pay for the food. Surprise! Anyways, pizza was ok. Wings were sketchy. I'm pretty sure they're breaded before they fry them. I ordered a couple pizzas and 20 wings. I payed for my order and drove home. As everyone gathered 'round the styrofoam container I popped the lid open only to find 19 miscellaneous food items. 14 wings, 5 potato wedges, and... one invisible wing? I called to let them know and they apologized then asked me if I wanted to drive back and pick up some wings. Delivery would have been nice but I said ok. So I got back in the car and drove all the way back to the shop to pick up the wings. I opened up the box to make sure I was given wings and not potato wedges and to my surprise they were in fact chicken wings. They even gave me 3 whole additional wings for my troubles. I finally went back there last night and I can safely say under oath that Clifton Park Pizza is still great. It's just as good as I remember it: browned just right and with a great sauce. As others have mentioned, their game is simple here: take-out only. There's no place to eat inside (because it's even smaller inside than it looks from the outside), and if you want delivery, you can deliver it to yourself. You can spare yourself that humiliation. You are saved. Your sins are forgiven. There is Clifton Park Pizza. I've been there more times than I can count. It's a genuine take-out-only "hole in the wall" pizza joint that knows their demographic, knows what they have to offer, and absolutely nails it. Set in a roadside ramshackle old building that would make Popeye proud. It's gruffly pleasant. And they've got it all down to a science. Family run. For the most part it's always the same staff on duty. Though every once in a while some young girls turn up. I imagine them in one of those 'lingerie prison' movies... "Innocent young vixens sentenced by a cruel judge to a steaming pizza-hell for a crime they didn't commit". Boom-chika-boom-boom. Anyway, I digress... Bottom line: Stuck in Stripmallistan? You can still get pizza and subs made to order... and a few dinners to balance it all out. Like a very passable lasagna and chick parm. That's the story. That's what they do. I grew up eating from here and when I recently came back to visit family we had to order from here for old times sake. Sadly its was a major disappointment. Chicken parm was way over cooked and flavorless. Ziti with sausage and meatballs, same thing...tough and flavorless. Pasta sauce from a jar would have been better. I only saw teenagers working the kitchen and cash register. Seems like the place needs some adult supervision with culinary training. I'm in town from Buffalo, and the food here is complete garbage. I would of rather warmed up a frozen Za' in the oven. They do this weird thing with the wings, they mix potatoes in with them. Really bizarre. Not to mention the wings tasted cheap and the hot sauce was way off. I feel bad for people of Clifton Park if this is the pizza and wings they have to eat. Someone from this place should drive 4 hrs down the 90 and learn how to make real wings. read more

gave it 2 shots but this place just isn't for me. first visit got a 6 cut white broccoli and buffalo spuds. the pizza was dry and didn't have much taste but the spuds were good and we finished a mini bucket between 2 of us. figured i'd try again so this weekend we gave it a second visit. got a cheese pie, spinach and ricotta pie, and garlic parm spuds. the spinach and ricotta pizza was gross. dry again. the spuds were so overdone compared to the last time we ordered. idk if they aren't always cooked to order or if they were just left in too long but most of them were thrown out. the cheese pizza was average. won't be giving it a third try. read more
