Stopped in for a quick lunch. The hostess/waitress was rude and didn't seem to want to serve us. We ordered pepperoni pizza, chicken tenders, and a veggie sub. The tenders came with nothing - just tenders on a tiny plate. And they tasted as if they had been freezer burned. The veggie sandwich was very odd. We have been coming to the keys for years and always wondered how the pizza was. We ordered a caprese pizza and the baked penne, this food was absolutely horrible. I am not sure what the sauce is made with but It is uneatable. The pizza crust equally horrible. We have ordered from a couple of pizza places in the area and for the most part, the food was pretty delicious. The food from Upper Crust was the worst we've ever had, we highly recommend C&C Wood Fire Eats, Tower of Pizza and frankly any Dominos or Papa Johns is better. I should share that I am 100% Italian (Napoletana) and I cook all food from scratch, I know good food in general, especially Italian. read more

So far not impressed at all.... beer is expired by over a month, I'm kind of scared what's on the pizza when it comes out, everything in here is covered in dust, maybe one other customer, and staff is just sitting around on their phones. This is honestly the worst pizza I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life. No clue how to make a white pie....the chicken had the dryness of the Mojave desert. the ricotta was spread out as the base with the mozzarella on top making a nice dry and chalky texture. It was late at night and based on the reviews we chose Upper Crust. The four of us went with a standard cheese and pepperoni pizza. It was surprising how good it tasted. Wow. What's happened to the quality at upper crust? I received 2 slices of pizza which was. $7.00??? The slices they gave me look to be from a medium pizza that was made in the afternoon and left to sit. Very dry and the cook did not even try to add cheese or anything that would have made for a decent looking and tasting pizza. Save your money and go to publix for a frozen pizza. It's better and cheaper. When I asked about it, the server and manager both just shrugged their shoulders and told me that they were pre-made. Both slices were too dry and obviously cooked earlier in the day. I decided to try it and My initial assessment was correct, to dry to even eat. Very disappointed with the quality and service. I'm visiting from out of town and have to say this is the worst pizza I've ever had. I ordered the seafood pizza and when I got my pizza I opened it up to find the sauce on the pizza was thinner than water. if I tipped the box even slightly everything down to the crust would have slid right off. I'm not one to take food back but at this point I couldn't even eat this with a fork. I was explained by a manager that there sauce is very thin and takes a while for the sauce to set up. figured you should mention that on the menu before you serve it to people. read more

Seriously- I understand it was late and New Year's Eve. I ordered a pizza to go for my family and asked for a grilled chicken and vegetable dish. I explained that I am both gluten and dairy free. At pick up I checked again- just chicken and vegetables? I opened the bag to look, but could only see the veggies. "There's just chicken underneath?" Apparently the pasta wasn't a thought. Everytime I call for delivery the phone has a busy signal. Weekend, weekday, evening, doesn't matter. I question if they are still in business. Heard this is great pizza, would like to try it. Most consistent food I have found in a restaurant. Turns out same owners and same Chef for over 20 years. The Chef is in the kitchen at ALL times the restaurant is open!! Definitely worth trying this place. read more

My husband and I stopped here because it was right by Pennekamp and we were waiting to go scuba diving. I ordered a slice of pepperoni with a coke and he ordered two slices of veggie pizza with a beer. Our tab was $28. We were a little surprised because for that price we could have ordered an entire pizza! However, the pizza was great and the service was attentive. We were just looking for a quick pizza place on our way north from Key West and stopped in here shortly before they closed. We were able to place an order quickly and the pizza came out within minutes, although we were able to watch the chefs hand toss the dough from our seat. This is four start pizza but service made it five stars. The waiter brought us samples of beers we were debating without us asking and brought us a box for our leftovers before we could ask as well. There was cheese, sauce and crust....slightly overpriced for a slice of cheese pizza: $2.75. The bartender greeted us at the entrance of the pub/pizzeria and was very kind. The restaurant was empty, but to be fair it was 3:00 PM on a Friday. I cannot attest to anything besides the price and the pizza. Everything is amaZing. Service- Always attentive. They greet you and check up on you. Garlic bread- 6 pieces of greatness. They have the right amount of garlic and its served with minced red peppers.
