They have facilities at the campgrounds like bathrooms and a shower. The campsites are close to the lake and a short ride to the boat launch ramp. I loved the amount of greenery and tree cover it provided. Wildlife was everywhere, deer in camp, squirrels, chipmunks, woodpeckers, and other birds. I highly suggest checking this place out for a weekend of fun.

I must say the food was incredible for the price it tasted authentic and like someone really took the time and love to make this food. I would Absloutly reccomend this place to anyone who is in the area. The views of the lake are Absloutly stunning this time of year the way the sun glances off of the water. When we finished our meal a problem with one of our bikes appeared which lead us to having to leave one of the bikes up here. Sheresa was a saint by letting us store the bike next to the restaurant keeping it away from anyone who was around while we went and got a pickup to bring it back home. We were here visiting family and had already planned a trip to Crater Lake. Even though it wasn't raging and spectacular it's a neat place to stop and check out this unnatural event. Since there hadn't been rain in awhile it was pretty mild (see pics), but if you can time it right and there has been rain for a few (or more) days it becomes much more glorious. Nice little stop area that is kept clean and has a couple nice vantage points for viewing. If you're in the area this should make your list of nature oriented things to do, especially if you are already heading up the North Umpqua for a day of site seeing.

We went to Oregon to spend Thanksgiving w/ his Mom and this little scenic stop happened to be the destination that Kevin wanted to take me to. The weather was cold so my kiddo stayed in the car w/ his Mom... Kevin and I explored alongside the rivers a few minutes just to be in awe w/ nature and of course, take a few pictures. They have a pretty active parking crew checking vehicle payment... I've heard they have no qualms with breaking windows, slashing tires, or even throwing a boot on for the deadbeats/delinquents. I mean come on, $5 is a cheap price to pay for a great day on the lake (you and your carload of people). The biggest draw is probably the sandy beach just down from the lawn... couple that with the great water temp and you got a good recipe for a chill day. Bring a cooler, chairs and some shade if you can! Oh yeah don't forget to bring your 4 legged pal if they're friendly!

This is not a pull-up-to-your-campsite type of set-up. Unless you pack really lightly (like hike it in lightly) you will need to use their provided wheel burrows to get your gear in. It's a bit of a workout :) Getting lakeside was also a bit of a trek due to the lake being so receded. The lake was it's lowest ever this year, according to the camp host- so 2020 will be a short season. Water temperature was wonderfully cool (but not cold). Go soon if you are planning on going at all. Lastly, if you are a bit adventurous you don't need to buy wood here- there is plenty driftwood lying around.

These are all on the way to Crater Lake. A serene valley with a couple of small communities, a RV camping area, docks to launch kayaks, fishing places, bird watching walks, etc. Find a detailed map to explore all of it, within about 10 miles radius. Bring your own lunch (no stores around there), camera and binoculars. Nearest town is Chiloquin, off highway 97. Good for bringing visitors, a quiet walk and picnic, birding, bicycles, fishing.

There are two boat ramps-one on each side of the long dock where you can launch a boat. There are also places to hang on the bank and get into the water without a boat. It's a beautiful reservoir with pine and deciduous trees along the bank. A perfect place to spend a day on the water.
