We ate here for dinner on 05/08 and 5/08/26. On 05/09 we arrived shortly before closing. The atmosphere was quiet and the server, Bre was extremely friendly. The service was fantastic. We ordered burgers and I asked for my fries 5x crispy. The cook adhered to my request and honestly exceeded my expectations. The burgers were stellar. Well assembled, not overly greasy, patties slightly charred at the edges and they didn't fall apart. Reasonably priced as well. Exactly what we were looking for, exceeding expectations for a small town, local restaurant. Service and food were so good we returned on 5/09. This time we ordered a pizza, burger and onion rings. The pizza dough was pretty undercooked on the bottom. The crust was done well however. I will give the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to a fluke as the service remained amazing and the rest of the food was outstanding. The burger maintained its rating from the previous days meal. The onion rings were fantastic. Perfectly fried and crispy/crunchy. I was able to break them in half/bite off a piece and the breading remained stuck to the onion. Also, if you're a Bigfoot enthusiast, this is your kind of place (I'm a Bigfoot enthusiast). Overall a fantastic experience. Shoutout to Bre for being a wonderful server. To the cook, keep doing what you're doing because that was food was delightful. 10/10 recommend. read more

Took a long time to be seated even though we were the only a party of 2 and nobody else waiting. One waitress explained she was busy with two large parties and couldn't help us, while she was entering things on a screen. Translation - I have two big tips to hope for and you don't matter. The food - loaded nachos appetizer, chicken caesar salad, and a pizza, was all mediocre for tavern food, and overpriced. The salad was a huge mound of lettuce with very little chicken. The tequila sunrise drink was decent. A far cry from the excellent Mazama Public House, but that place js on the far opposite (east) side of the national park. Started with garlic parmesan wings which were not very crunchy, sauce was bold and had overall good flavor. Tried a buffalo burger and liked the natural sweetness and depth of the meat, compared to husbands burger (beef) the buffalo was more flavorful on its own. Was advised it would be a little bit of a wait for food and service but ended up waiting 45 minutes while 3 other tables around us were served who seated after us. We asked to just order carry out but were then told no. Ended up leaving without a server ever coming to our table and were dismissed with a sarcastic "thank you ladies" and then saw staff outside smoking. We went there after a long hike at Maple Pass and had a fun experience. We had refreshing cocktails, White Peach Sangria and Vodka Raspberry Lemonade. The upriver heat pizza was very good, although could have done with some more seasoning. The chowder and salad were pretty good as well. The tacos that we took for to go were not satisfactory at all sadly. There were some mistakes in the menu like tacos would come with salad but that was not true, the waiter had correct that for us. All in all a good restaurant in a quiet place like Rockport, WA. Just a little disappointed that it was short staffed when we went so it took awhile for the waiter to come get our orders but he was very nice. read more

This is definitely the correct choice if you are in Marblemount. The servers were hustling and very attentive, and the food was very good. We sat in the outside courtyard under moss covered trees and enjoyed the spotted sunshine. We have been in Washington for six days and this has been the best dining experience by far. Pizza is Neapolitanesque but with a bit more substance, French fries were that crispy but soggy kinda chip style, almost ordered an extra side! Prices were decent too. Hard 5 stars read more

After backpacking for 4 days my group and I needed real food BADLY. Luckily, this spot was open and on our way out of NCNP. We sat outside on their patio which was gorgeous and so pretty. The staff here were all super friendly and efficient. I tried their wild berry cider, and that was delicious. I also ordered their Plain Jane burger which was exactly what I needed after eating dehydrated food for four days lol. The fries were especially good. Awesome spot. If I'm ever in NCNP again, and I hope I will be, I'll be stopping here again. read more

Stopped here for a late lunch around 2pm after the NP. The server was pleasant but the wait from the kitchen was well over 30 minutes. We finally got our food and started chowing down. I was about halfway through my burger when I noticed a long hair in the hamburger meat. I thought maybe it was a little string of cheese at first and pulled on it. Realized it was a long hair and waved the server over because I wasn't going to eat anymore. He apologized to me and took it back to the chef who said since I ate half, before I noticed the long hair clearly mixed in the meat, that he wouldn't offer more than a 10% discount for it. I am not going to eat something where they don't seem to care about cleanliness in the kitchen. It's not a matter of money. Don't insult me by saying a 10% discount because I ate half the food before I noticed something in the food that shouldn't be there. It sucks because the burger was good. I just couldn't force myself to eat anything else because the hair and attitude from the chef grossed me out so bad. The server was great and very apologetic. Well today was not a good day for them, the food is good but the staff do not know what they are doing. We got there sat inside because we were told there were more tables . Which was fine. Our waiter came and said he would be with us shortly he had a table ahead of us so we said no problem after 15 minutes. We asked if we could get a beer at the bar. When I was at the bar our waiter came and said he was going to be right there, but the person at the bar said she would bring them, which she did. Our waiter came and took our order, when we received our drinks. While we waited for our food about 30 minutes I had to go ask for a refill on our drinks. After we got our food about 15 minutes later we asked for another refill, which we received. After we ate our food we asked for 1 more drink and was told that we could not have any more because I had 3 in an hour, I was drinking coors light plus ate food. I was told we are a restaurant not a bar, isn't a tap room? Well anyway I will not be going back last chance. read more

A group of us walked in on a sunny Sunday for lunch after spending the weekend backpacking in the North Cascades. We came ready to devour the menu in an instant and they knew the assignment. We were seated quickly and they were kind enough to bring out baskets of fries before our burgers so we could start eating while they finished up our food. Our burgers were served with salads which felt really refreshing after three days of dehydrated meals and packaged snacks. The burgers were hefty portions, great for the post-hike appetite - I got the hatch chile burger and enjoyed every bite of it. The fries were perfectly crisp on the outside and still fluffy and light on the inside. The salad was simple but oh so good. We were able to pay by separate checks and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Will be back next time I'm in the area! read more

The surroundings were beautiful when we sat outside. However, our server wasn't very positive, and it took a long time to get our bill. In a town with about three restaurants, none of them have to try very hard because where else will the hungry people go? Upriver clearly doesn't prescribe to that thought because our lunch there today was amazing!!! We did have to wait a bit for our food--it was pretty full and only a couple of servers, but the staff checked in on us frequently and apologized for the wait. We got the pretzel appetizer and it was legit one of the best soft pretzels I've ever had. All of our meals were top notch--a burger, a pizza, the pork tacos, and the pesto panini with chicken. The fries were super delish as well, nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Will definitely eat here again when we're in the area. read more

We had smoked chowder to share as starter, and split a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and a roast beef sandwich, both with fries & a pickle. Fresh rolls, great peppers on Philly cheesesteak and wonderful horseradish on roast beef. Fries were hot & crispy. Excellent draft beer choices too. Then we ordered a slice of carrot cake & strawberry rhubarb cheesecake to go! Denise was a great server- friendly, kind and attentive but not hovering. My husband lived in Philadelphia and said his sandwich was the best he's ever had outside of Philly. Beautiful outside patio with lots of tables and shade. Pet friendly too! My husband and I were camping in Rockport (Skagit county) and decided to get out of the trailer (we were in rain for a bit) as we were a bit stir crazy, so my husband found this place online and we thought sure why not try it. Now if you've been to Marblemount before, there aren't a lot of restaurants to choose from, but this one had good reviews (thanks yelpers) and it wasn't too far from our campground. We got to Marblemount and found the place quite easily as it's on the main street, which isn't huge at all. The outside has wood statues in place, and I believe one or two done in metal. There was sasquatch, a mule with gear on, as if going on a trip, a cowboy bending down (I think) and the sign itself which advertises what the place is. It's a beautiful sign with the name in huge letter, backdrop of mountains and trees and a canoe going across the top. The inside is nicely decorated with scenic pictures, there's a variety of old weaponry in place, a buffalo head and a beautiful mural covering the back wall of mountains, a plane and the sky. There was also another canoe hanging from the ceiling. I love the whole outdoorsy feel; it works for the place. Ok on to the meal. We were greeted and told to sit wherever by a friendly waitress. We sat by windows where we could see an outdoor court that is probably used during the summer. It was cute and I'm betting it would be nice to sit out there and relax and have a few. Ok the menu is presented on a large size of paper, front and back which lists what's available. Entrees are served after 4:30 but there's a good selection of what's available. I wanted wings and couldn't decide on either buffalo or garlic/parm. The waitress said they didn't do mixed orders, but she highly recommended the garlic parm. I also ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. My husband opted for the chili. He had a delicious (he said) wild berry cider and drank every bit of it. I had a Pepsi. In no time here comes our order. Let me just tell you and thanking this waitress right here and now, the wings were the best I've had and people I've had a lot of wings. I usually don't pick garlic anything because it doesn't agree with me, but these weren't too strong on the flavor. The sauce on these wings was finger licking good. We both ate these and finished them all. My salad had warm, tender chicken with a light dressing of Caesar. Sometimes you get a Caesar salad and it's drenched. This was a good salad. My husband enjoyed the chili bigtime. Bottom line, if you happen to be up in Skagit county by Concrete, Rockport, that area, don't hesitate and take the drive to this place, it's worth. Service was also great, and the waitress was efficient and very friendly. I'd go back. read more

This place is fairly new, according to our Airbnb owner. We stopped here after a day of hiking the Cascades. We both ordered sandwiches, one Turkey club & one roast beef sandwich, the server asked if we wanted fries or greens, we both opted for greens, thinking that it would be a side salad. When our orders arrived, the sandwiches looked good, on slightly toasted sourdough, they were good, after a long day of hiking. I chuckled when I saw the side of greens, they weren't kidding, just a side of mixed greens and that's it! No tomatoes, no cucumber, nothing! Washed it down with a good porter beer & amber beer.
