I stopped here after hiking in North Cascades for dinner and we enjoyed the food. The service was the best we experienced on our 12 day trip. The spicy chicken was so good with the onions cooked on the hot plate. It was nice that that it came with a salad and rice. The steak with fries and veggies was also delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked. They also have a great selection of beer, wine, and cider! I did not get to try the dessert as I was so full after eating everything on my plate! The place is quite spacious and there's plenty seating. All the staff were great and prompt. The food came out quick and hot.

Easy and fast service as soon as we walked in. Lots to choose from the menu for food and drinks. As for food they had everything from Elk, Bison, Ostrich, and wild boar burgers to teriyaki chicken with rice. Salads and more !!!! They also had regular soda drinks, ciders, beer and wine no hard liquor. It was an interesting ambience with Korean decor and western American decor. They also had a beer and wine fridge area to grab and go as well as an area to buy little knickknacks such as coffee, mugs, hats, socks, and more. They also had desserts such as pies and cakes. Lots of seating indoors and a decent amount of staff to help with anything needed. I would go back to try more, my kids also enjoyed the kids menu.

Whenever we're exploring a national park, there's always one great restaurant in the area that we find ... and Mondo is it! Food is super delicious, and there's something for everyone. They have both Asian and American options, and they definitely deliver on their Asian cuisine. Start with the gyoza and then grab the bulgogi plate - very generous portions filled with great flavor. Plenty of drink options. Large menu. Lots of available tables. Great staff. Absolutely a great stop for lunch or dinner after a day spent in the national park.

The food was great. I got the bulgogi which wasn't even on the menu anymore but the owner was nice enough to still have them make it. I got a generous portion. We also got the jalapeño burger which had an actual layer of jalapeños. For it being the middle of nothing the prices are great. This is the only restaurant open within an hour just about and has really good food.

Apple Pie and Huckleberry Ice Cream from Mondo - July 2025

Our dinner at Mondo's last week was a pretty great way to end a truly fantastic day of travel and adventure. Full disclosure: We had originally planned to eat at the neighboring restaurant but it was absolutely packed last Thursday evening so with limited options, we found ourselves at Mondo instead... Everything happens for a reason because this spot turned out to be a pleasant surprise! We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, understandable since the hostess was clearly juggling quite a bit, but once we were settled things moved along smoothly. The menu is more extensive than you might expect, with a large variety of burgers that immediately caught my eye. I ended up ordering the Bacon Cheeseburger (minus the cheese) and wow... It was so good. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. It really hit the spot after a day of travel, hiking, and sightseeing. I also didn't realize my travel companion had a sweet tooth which led us to look at the dessert menu. I chose the apple pie and we split a scoop of huckleberry ice cream because when in the PNW, right?! Both were delicious and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The decor inside Mondo is quirky and cool with a welcoming vibe that is between a casual mountain lodge, a hometown diner, and an Asian restaurant! Our server was friendly and efficient but she seemed incredibly rushed and could've slowed down a bit... A little more attention and pacing would've improved the service. All in all, Mondo was a great find, especially given the remote location. It's always comforting to know there are solid and satisfying meals like this one waiting for you after a day of adventure in a small mountain town/just outside the National Parks.

If you find yourself hungry for some Korean-fusion up in the mountains of North Cascades and don't want to travel back to a big city, Mondo is conveniently right by the entrance of the national park. Pretty standard fare bulgogi, but good prices, good service, and large portions. Pretty good beer options. Poor cell reception, though. So if you want to stick around and use your phone, you might not have any luck.

Club sandwich was HUGE and had a lot of meat, enough for two+ hungry people! Cost wasn't too bad either.

5 stars for being open on July 4th so we can eat while traveling Imagine kims convenience store + a diner + middle of nowhere Washington. Food comes out fast. Salad and veggies fresh. Fries are awesome. Got the marble mont burger and it was great 2 others got bulgogi and lots of meat Very quick and efficient service. That felt like Korea. The classic 100yo fridge with classic Korean images ( see pics) I loved it

Right before the national park, there is this cozy and fun place. The salmon fish and chips were crunchy and satisfied my expectations. The service was fast and attentive. The decoration is a mix of many cultures and it is a good place to go right before a hike.

Those who did not give this restaurant 5 stars, want a 5 star meal at a 3 star price! Yes, my burger in remote Washington State was $19.95 and excellent! Also this restaurant is super clean. The front windows were so clean, I realized how dirty my glasses were! 5 Stars hands down!

Unexpectedly good food, and unbelievably fast service at a casual restaurant in the middle of nowhere Washington. My wife and I shared The Club House Sandwich and the Short Rib Burger. I could not believe how fast our order came out. I think it was 5 minutes later the food was at our table. The shirt rib burger was out of this world delicious. Very messy, teriyaki sauce and beef juice everywhere but very very good. The club house sandwich was exactly what I expected. And the fries were my favorite style, twice fried.

Highly recommend if you're on your way to or from hiking in the North Cascades. This spot is a delicious food spot right on Hwy 20, with lots of burger options as well as fish and vegetarian options. Pretty big place with very attentive and polite service. The salmon fish and chips were super tasty, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The beyond burger was also well cooked, and the blueberry cobbler cheesecake we had for dessert was delicious. Good portions for good prices. It was pretty quiet on a Tuesday for lunch but I imagine it's probably pretty busy on summer weekends with hikers in the area.

We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.

And i have had Indian food from many restaurants and temples all over the USA and even Hawai'i. This food at Cascade is made with such good intention, you can taste it! Delightful! Pranayumyum for your tumtum! [i just made that up, copyright!] Truly tho. The food made by Chef Bobbi is like prasadam, only better! He makes everything from scratch. He caters to any dietary restriction or request. Most of my friends are meat and dairy eaters, and those items here are fabulous, too. However: i am a strict vegetarian [vegan], gluten and dairy free. Chef Bobbi is attentive to specialty requirements and wishes. He can basically make anything on the menu into a vegetarian dish, et cetera. FAVES: Korma [cashew cream dish], and The Pakura [vegetable fritter, breaded with garbanzo bean flour]. Chef Bobbi will surprise us sometimes with special samples of items. For instance, while i was breaking my fast from Lent, he served me a delightful vegan dal [not even on the menu]. They have brought out wonderful, colorful desserts that my husband can eat [dairy]. This Indian restaurant is a destination. It is absolutely beautiful, at the gateway to the Upper Cascades. There is an exquisite back patio. They have a rad bar section that opens for Summertime. Bartender Rodju will return!? Seriously, everybody has to try this place, and yall will come back! The bulgogi was flavorful, and balanced with vegetable in addition to meat. My husband ordered the dolsot bibimbap which was delicious as well.
