We love the food here as there are plenty of choices and they are prepared very well. The prices seem a bit high for the location and experience though. I absolutely love the outdoor seating area as it is nestled among the pine trees and there are lots of seating options and some games you can play while waiting for your food. Beautiful surroundings. What most people come here for are the yummy large burgers and fries and shakes, etc. Although in their menu the offer sandwiches, wraps and salads too. Everyone I saw while there had burgers on their trays. The appetizers are also very yummy. We shared the garlic cheese curds to start and they were very tasty and served hot. Among our group of 5 people we tried a variety of the burger options including Jalapeno Burger, Grilled Onion Burger. I substituted the sweet tempura brussels sprouts for fries and another did onion rings. The rest of us had the delicious fries. The burgers were very big and difficult to finish for several of us so we took a lot of it home. While here we also ordered the special "Doggy Burger" for our dog. This is a basic cooked hamburger which we chopped up for the dog. And I also ordered a slice of the white chocolate raspberry dessert that the worker said was fresh out of the oven. On my way to NCNP, I decided to try Birdsview Diner in the booming metropolis of Concrete, WA. The Tarheel Burger is something I have never experienced. Against my better judgement, I went with this double-meat monstrosity! It was delicious, and the fries were piping hot. I actually took some home and brought them back to life in the air fryer. So this is a weird one for me, this adorable little diner is located in Concrete, WA a tiny little town with very little food options. They have an amazing outdoor space, definitely a spot to bring friends and hang out. They have beer and ice cream, which are huge wins for me, and the people were incredibly nice. The food however was just ok. The burger was simple, nothing special, but fine. The garlic Parmesan fries had a delicious sauce on it, but some of the fries were hard from still being raw and some were perfect. The service was slow but they were busy, and their systems were struggling that day. Ultimately, I would give 3 stars for the food we had, but 5 stars in ambience and coolness. Perhaps though other food would have been better? Also my husband split a burger and an order of these fries and it was plenty! read more

I'm posting this review based on 4 people with 4 different dishes, the Piggy Back, the Pulled Pork, the Fried Prawns and the Bird. The Piggy Back: diner said the cheese on the outside made it a bit weird. The pork was ok and the Mac n cheese got lost in the pork. Fries were good. The Pulled Pork: diner said it was ok but seemed like it had been cooking all day, not in a good way. Also disappointed that the photo on the menu showed it on a Kaiser roll and was served bun. She liked the fries. The Prawns: diner said they tasted very frozen. They were fair. The coleslaw was not tasty. The Bird. This was my dish. I found it very good. All the flavors came out. Nothing was lost. Beef patty sausage patty, over easy egg LTO... delicious bun. French fries were very good. All diners felt the service was very good to excellent. Ambiance was very cute and homey. It's astonishing that Concrete has so many great restaurants for such a small town but it's the location on the North Cascades Highway 20 that is the reason for it. Birdsview Diner is one of those great restaurants with a few tables inside and a large outside dining area with lots of tables and some games. The fish and chips were good and the fish itself was tasty, not a large piece of fish but better to have quality over quantity. Also had the patty melt, which is a 2/3 lbs patty with grilled onions and Thousand Island on grilled marbled rye bread. The sandwich didn't have cheese and I would definitely add cheese next time. However, it still was flavorful and a pretty large sandwich. Service was nice and the place was fairly busy, even with that, it didn't take too long to get our food. read more

I want to caveat this by saying I've only been here once. The burger and fries were...ok. The place is a really cool place to bring friends for eating and drinking. Pretty cool place to hang out with games for young and older "kids". We had the pulled pork sandwich which was good, maybe a bit small on the burger buns but it came with a good amount of fried. The chicken sandwich on the other hand was bigger and also came with fries. The fries we supper crunchy, I believe they fry them in batter. There are tables and metal stools outside which are tall and uncomfortable to seat on, but we ate pretty quickly and played some of the games so that's a big plus. My daughter and I recently took a spontaneous one night camping trip to Rasar State Park and part of the spontaneity was that I didn't bring any food. (If you've ever been camping with me before you know this has literally never happened in the history of my life.) Soon, our ginormous plates of B&G goodness had arrived. I was glad I got the half order because it was HUGE. I couldn't even finish it. My daughter tried to make a dent in her full order, but there was SO much. It was tasty, though. Tender house-made biscuits and a country-style sausage gravy. Nom nom nom. I wish we could have taken it to go. But let's face it, B&G just isn't the same a few hours later. Perfect place to eat after hanging out at Rasar state park. This diner is only 1.5 miles away and then only a hop, skip and a jump from the freeway. We chose this place because of the location and the outdoor seating option. We're all still staying out of public for the most part, plus we had two doggies with us. It was the perfect option. The outdoor seating is really cute and their is a little stage as well. That was fun for a random dance break! The restaurant itself is an "order at the window" type and the indoor seating is tiny so the outdoor area is a must. Most importantly- the food. Two of us got the grilled cheese and one got chicken strips, while the other got the mac and cheese burger. Everyone really enjoyed their food, and my sister got one of their champagne mixed drinks (it had a cute name but I forgot) with blackberry and it was sooo good! Sweet little roadside diner. We had excellent onion rings and an amazing "onion" burger. It was truly memorable and we'll come back . Only downside was the promised sweet tea was regular iced tea, so he had to dump a lot of sugar to achieve his desired taste. No big problem. Go there for sure! read more

We both ordered "The bird" burgers (featuring a perfectly cooked runny egg on top) which we agreed were delectable and came with side choices including fresh beer battered onion rings and thick cut steak fries that were hot and crispy. Service was terrible. Came in with a service animal and was told I had to sit outside in 40 degree very windy weather. Ended up ordering to go because it was so cold outside Menu had no options for people with eating restrictions that weren't a plain salad or deep fried fish. Really miss the old menu. Edit in response: the ADA states that while visible identification is helpful for business owners, it is not a legal retirement for service animals to have identification and there is infact no federal or state documentation or registration for service animals. The ADA does state that business owners are able to ask owners of service animals what task they are trained to perform but nothing beyond that. Your treatment of disabled patrons does not align with federal ADA standards. And will be reported to the BBB read more
