The courier last week left a note at the door that a package needs to be signed. He didn't leave any details on the note but to pick the package up at the UPS Store. He left no tracking number but the address of the store. I went UPS Store. They didn't have the package. I got hold of the tracking number. I called the customer service center and they said that package is to be at the UPS Store. I was advised to wait till the next day to pick up the package. Well, I went by the store and there was no package. After a week, still no package at the store. Now, how can you lose a package? If the courier had the package to take to the store. The courier either kept the package for himself or threw away. What a waste of time trying to track the package. I had to text the sender to file a claim. read more

Ups is the worst delivery service I have ever experienced. Recently, I was supposed to receive a package I bought from Amazon and for some reason the shipper added required signature. Therefore, when the package was delivered a note was left on my door to be held in the nearest ups facility the next business day. Because I was not able to pick it up on Monday, I called ups to see if they could accommodate my request. After several conflicting information sent by the customer service department, which was not what it was informed, I tried to pick it up today but the dispatch. Department kept it held in the main ups location. I talked with the local dispatch and they were not willing to accommodate me in order to received the package on Saturday (including driver and dispatch supervisor). In this process , unhas spent more than three hours in totals talking with ups representatives with no results in different calls. This process had been frustrating and based on this I would never use ups if that is a choice, whenever I can make that choice. This is a big black eye for ups and I encourage all potential shippers to account for that on your shipping needs. The caveat in here is that other shipping options may be as bad nowadays post pandemic, but I have not experienced any problems with alternative shipping means nowadays. UPDATE: Package that was supposed to be delivered in the morning on Monday 10/24 has not been delivered, even though, it was promised to be delivered in the morning. Spoke with the access point and even though UPS truck with my package was in there already, it was not dropped into that location. Twice I called on saturday and friday and it was guaranteed that package would be delivered during morning hours in that location. I am travelling out of town and i will not be back until next week. Therefore, if I miss this opportunity, the package will be returned to the shipper. I am giving them one star but they don't deserve any stars at all. I had a packaged shipped from Michigan which was supposed to arrive on 9/10. It was supposedly on a truck and out for delivery on 9/10 but it hasn't arrived and the driver said he could not find the package on his truck. It is not a small package. How incompetent are these people at this location - VERY!!! I asked them what they are doing to find the package at their facility but their response was NOTHING. UPS has to be the most incompetent company I have ever had the unpleasure of using. Never will I ship with these people again. I have emailed their Chairman of the Board and requested his assistance. So i went early that morning after i called yesterday to hold my package for pick up and when i arrive there my package was in Kentucky otw back to the sender .... SAD !!!!! On January 7, 2010, UPS mistakenly delivered a package I had shipped to a UPS store to the Williams-Sonoma distribution center at 4300 Concorde Road in Memphis, Tennessee. The package was clearly marked with the name of the friend I was mailing the package to, as well as the UPS box number and complete address of the UPS Store where it was supposed to be delivered on the other side of the city; however, the driver either could not read or did not care (or both) and left the package at Williams-Sonoma. When my friend went to pick up the package on Saturday, January 9, the delivery mistake was discovered when only two of the three boxes I had mailed reached their destination. I had to call UPS corporate customer service to even find out where the lost package had been delivered and have a lost package tracer placed on the delivery. Though they apologized repeatedly, customer service didn't seem all that sure the package could even be retrieved, acted as if problems like this occurred every day, and that it simply wasn't a big deal. (And why would it be? After all, it's not their package.) Next I attempted to call the Memphis UPS hub. The number was always busy and I mean ALWAYS. I repeatedly tried to call them over several hours and I was never able to get thru. (I'm sure it probably would've been more of the same lousy customer service I received at the corporate level, if not worse.) So instead of being able to speak to someone at the local level that might actually be able to do something about my missing package, I'm stuck with having to deal with people in corporate customer service hundreds of miles away. Frankly, I would not trust UPS to deliver a package of used kleenex and toenail clippings down the street. This is the second time in eight months I've had problems with them. My lost package was found in May, but it looked as if it had been run over by a bus. If I had not been backed up against a wall in an emergency situation, I would not have used them again. Next time, I will turn around and burrow thru that wall to the nearest FedEx or USPS to ship my packages. It would be safer to send them by rabid camels than trust the Memphis hub to get something to the right place at the right time. read more

I was told that I can pick my package up at 8pm made it there 15minutes after the hour and they were closed. If I was told the facility closes at 8pm I would have been there at 7, the driver could have made a second attempt to drop my package off because she was still in the area but it's not their protocol and I understand. I'm so choosing DHL and FedEx going forward. read more

My review: This tip will save you time , they tell you UPS closes at 6 pm and then re-opens. You can pick up your package from 8-8:30 pm only if you called and arranged it ahead of time. It is strange because they will tell you it's open from 8 to 8. I made the mistake of coming at 7 pm. You will notice people waiting in cars starting a 7:50 pm listening to loud music, or passing time on their phones. It is raining right now, but that isn't stopping adults with their small children from standing in line in the hopes to be the first to pick up their package. It's like Black Friday! Once you are inside the line efficiently moves and standing early in line is a fruitless effort --- the only exception being if you are unlucky and you have to wait until your ups truck driver arrives to pick up your package. Don't worry the staff will reassure with a response of "they are only "15 minutes away, would you please wait." read more
