Absolute scammers. Avoid at all costs! This is by far the worst shipping service in the world. Their management is incompetent, their communication is non-existent, and their business practices border on extortion. I ordered a package, and when I received an invoice with ridiculous duties, I called UPS to find out why it was so expensive. They claimed the sender marked it as a "business package." I immediately contacted the sender, who confirmed that it was false and that UPS made it up on their end. Because the package itself was worth $20 and UPS wanted to charge me an additional $30 for their useless brokerage services, I called them back and officially refused the delivery. I explicitly stated that I did not want this package and would not accept it. The support agent gave me an email address to put everything in writing. I sent a detailed email, received a response stating that my case was escalated to a higher department, and was told to wait for their reply. Instead of an answer, I was completely ghosted for 4 months. No emails, no phone calls, absolutely nothing. Out of nowhere, I just received a letter from a debt collection agency for this non-existent, refused debt! UPS automatically creates unauthorized charges, ignores their own customer support tickets, refuses to communicate, and then ruins people's credit scores by sending them to collections over their own internal system errors. I believe all these other reviews are no exaggeration. My package has been reported here in Calgary for 5 days, I keep getting new delivery schedules, new delay notifications, but no delivery (I live 8km from the depot). Even on the phone they promise the package will arrive by end of day and it doesn't. Meanwhile the vendor won't do anything for me because they look at the tracking site and it says "on the way". The agent says I can have the problem escalated IF A DAY GOES BY WITH NO UPDATE. But I just keep getting false updates! Last night the system pushed an update to me at 11:30pm saying the package would be delivered by 4:30pm (7 hours in the past!). This is only my latest problem with UPS - they have serious issues with managing their logistics and these will raise your blood pressure! ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS SERVICE!!! DO NOT GO WITH UPS!!! THEY copied my address incorrectly. They had been provided both my phone number, as well as that of the sender and could have contacted either of us. They chose not to and simply held the package with a note in the tracking status that there was an address issue. Made no effort to contact me. When I called them to change the address, they said it would be delivered the next day. TWO days later the tracking status said the address had been changed. So I called them again. They said it was, and I quote, "supposed to go out today but for for some reason it got left behind." Here I am three days later. After THREE phone calls today, I have been told it is on a truck and to be delivered today, marked urgent. There is one hour left to their delivery service and it still hasn't arrived. A whole day wasted at home waiting for this. This is a private business. I would expect them to provide a better service than government services. Could not be more wrong. A family member in the US sent my daughter some birthday gifts via UPS. The delivery was expressly scheduled for her birthday. Four days later, the UPS truck pulls up in front of our house, as my daughter is excitedly looking out the window. I open the front door in hopes it has finally arrived. Nobody came to the door. I called UPS that evening, and they said "final delivery attempt" had been made that day at the same time as the truck had pulled up. If I had not called, I would not have known this. We were home throughout the past week. We never got a doorbell ring, and no notifications of attempted delivery left. UPS had decided to mark the package as "return to sender." We were completely in the dark. Over the following few days, myself, the sender, and my husband were all on the phone with the local UPS warehouse customer service. We also tried to self-broker for the outrageous charge of $75 for BIRTHDAY PRESENTS to be received. UPS gave us all a huge run-around. They promised, on multiple occasions to email documents to us, which never happened. We finally received the package a week after the scheduled delivery, but I am aboslutely livid about the entire thing. I will never use UPS again, and will be telling our family memebers not to send anything to Canada from the US with them. read more

What a terrible experience when dealing with the Calgary Distribution Centre and their call center. I ordered an "overnight" delivery from Texas to Edmonton on Thursday and the package showed up at the distribution centre in Calgary on Friday morning before 8 AM. Good Job ! 5 stars for US operations performance The package did not show up in Edmonton until Tuesday the next week ! TERRIBLE JOB ! Zero Stars for Calgary Distribution Centre not been able to drive it 300 kms until 4 days later including weekend. Once I found out they did not deliver the package on Friday night I called the toll free number and they told me that they could hold the package in Calgary for pick up Monday morning instead of sending it to Edmonton. The Calgary distribution centre lied directly to me on Monday morning when I showed up to pick up the package and said that the package was on a hot shot to Edmonton distribution centre. I asked for a contact of the hot shot and they said that there was no way of contacting the hot shot. When I got ahold of the Edmonton distribution centre later Monday they told me the package was still in Calgary and the Calgary distribution centre does not sent hot shots on Monday to Edmonton. I went back to Calgary and they could not find it but they would look for it. I spend allot of time talking to several different people trying to take possession of the package as soon as possible in Calgary or Edmonton with people waiting at the distribution stations but got absolutely zero results or change of direction of package after a minimum of 3 people told me that they would hold the package at the distribution centres. Total waste of time talking to call centre. Both Calgary distribution answer and customer service supervisors had zero answers on why the package was delay from Friday arrival in Calgary to not getting delivered until Tuesday. It seemed to be normal occurrence and they really did not care why it happened or if it happened again. This delay cost my company ~$5000 in direct lost revenue and probably way more in future revenue due to damage to reputation. UPS = Useless Poor Service if it goes through Calgary read more

UPS Calgary gave me the worst experience ever. There was a custom duty which I paid online (as per their instructions). After paying through PayPal never received an payment invoice from UPS. Drive came with the package and left the note to pay online, while it was paid already. Tried to contact UPS customer service via listed email at PayPal; received a return email from that address "this email address is not monitored or received". Called customer service (which is certainly outsourced to some other country), the customer service responded "sorry for the inconvenience, everything is good and driver will leave the package tomorrow". Called today again to make sure and UPS customer service responded "you are all set". Driver showed up with the package and asked "show me the proof of payment; otherwise, I can not and will not release the package". I requested their driver to contact customer service and he refused saying he can not wait for the paperwork. I requested, can I pay you again here, and he refused saying he can not process the payment. Well, called the customer service and guess what they said "sorry for the inconvenience, but you are all set for delivery." I asked can you send me the payment confirmation as the driver was upfront not to release the package. Customer service response "we can not give you the proof of payment." I rarely review companies, but UPS is so bad I felt I needed to warn people. I ordered a package from the US to be shipped to Calgary Alberta. I paid the shipping ($37 USD), but then received and email from UPS saying I needed to pay an additional $82 CDN brokerage fee (the package was a book and an electronic inductor - pretty small package). The value of the package was $327 CDN. I was going to self clear my package at Canada Customs, but when I mentioned that to UPS, all of a sudden my package was lost. I finally ended up paying their ridiculous brokerage fee and one month later, I have still not received my package. I have a claim in with UPS and have contacted the seller. Still nothing. I will be reversing my credit card charges. read more

Well....... Here goes. UPS ARE THIEVES. DONT USE THEM!!! They steal your stuff!!!!! If they miss an arranged delivery they charge the SENDER to return it and won't forward it. I sent a package to Paris to be delivered to KOBRA from Kobra and the Lotus and UPS DIDNT deliver it as per what was agreed upon and now they are holding it until I pre-pay the return. This is the forth or fifth item I have purchased from the Apple Store. We all know buying from Apple is expensive. Ever since Covid19, UPS just leave expensive packages on the steps of our receiving door and drive away. They use a random name and falsify who signed for it. This is a large factory and the package is addressed to the front office which they just ignore. Trying to get in contact with UPS is impossible. Their customer service 800 lines are not ever answered by a human being and if you are so lucky to talk to a human being it somebody who are not able to help you because they can't speak English and are located in Guatemala! The operations team is USELESS and the manager even more useless. I have dealt with every carrier imaginable and UPS by far is the worst of the worst. If you're a business owner, don't think for a second that they will assist you, even when it's their fault and even when you give them high volumes. They will string you along for months while they screw your business over, telling you they will remedy all the problems, and then they either don't call back or they offer nothing when you force them to respond. I never write reviews, but after the multiple agonizing experiences I've had with this company, I felt ranting might give me some closure. How is UPS still a company? It's soul purpose is to deliver packages and the three times I've had to use them to ship something, I had to go pick it up across the city because they were either too incompetent to look three feet to the right and see that there was a basement suite address right there, or their tracking information was days off and I wasn't around to receive the package because some people have jobs. I am very disappointed in UPS. They left me a note that they will deliver next business day without even buzz my apartment. I was home all day. The note does not say to pick up at location at a certain time or where the package is held. I called on Monday the next business day and they told me it is in NE I live in SW why is it held there? They said I need to sign for it but if I go in any UPS store to pick up I have to sign for it anyways. Maybe their systems are not connected in each store but that would tell me that UPS doesn't have a very good system and make the customer drive all the way to NE to pick up their package where it should be held in SW closer to my home to make it easier for the customer and not themselves.
