I have always asked this UPS to hold my items for pickup. I track them on line and when they arrive i go there with my ID and they give me my package every-time with no delays. The security there is friendly. I will be going tomorrow again to pick up another item. read more

Horrible service. I called about my package and got yelled at by someone who could barely speak english. The other guy interrupted me 2 words in and said I have to call the customer service number and hung up on me. The tracking info claimed they left a notice after attempting to deliver but there was no notice or instructions. Customer service said I needed to call the store I bought the item from to find out what happened. Makes no sense. read more

I had quick, friendly service today. I went about 45 minutes before closing, initially I saw a few people waiting and was concerned that I would have to wait a long time. I needed a cart because I had 4 large tires and wheels to ship so I grabbed one and came back in with my packages. The associate immediately helped me, gave me my receipt and told me to make sure next to I come in to let them know as they will gladly come help me with my packages. I'm a bit stubborn and hate asking for help but it is great to know they are willing to do so. Overall I would come back to this shipping location without hesitating and I appreciate the friendly service I received today. read more

Terrible calamity of errors. Package was claimed to have been delay delivery because of bad weather when with it was 30 minutes away from home and it took them 62 hours later from there to get the package to my home and the weather was perfect. They lied and made excuse that it was bad weather. When I call their customer service the guy hung up on me. Request they give me a call back and they said they could not arrange that return call. Don't use their delivery service, try amazon or the U.S. Post Office. read more

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt during the busy holiday season, but from reading other reviews this doesn't seem to be a seasonal problem. I was home all day when my package was scheduled to be delivered, but never got a knock on the door. I track my package and it says receiver unavailable but no note was left on the door either. I scheduled my package for pick up to avoid dealing with this and when I pick it up the facility is scattered in boxes and the workers are climbing over boxes looking through the lobby trying to find people's things. My box had been damaged horribly and was ripped open and taped up again. When I opened it half my stuff was missing and things were broken open and scattered, damaged, and there was random stuff inside my box. My complaints are 1) your employees at UPS seem way too over worked 2) there has to be a better way to organize your facility 3) if you damage a package don't throw random stuff back into it, tape it up, and deliver it anyway! 4) what is the deal with not delivering packages but saying the receiver is unavailable!? That seems to be an ongoing thing! read more

I'm amazed by all the negative reviews of this, the Cerritos UPS location. I have been using this location for many years now, shipping about 10 - 15 packages per month. Before I wised upo to the very convenient computer shipping booking I dealt with most of the shipping personnel at the front desk and found them to be always friendly and helpful. In fact, now that I am doing the paperwork at home before I get there, I miss having a chat with the folks up front. Over the years, I have never had a shipment go wrong. I ordered a kennel for my dog who is having surgery on 12/7/15. My delivery date was 12/2/15, however, I just received a text message telling me that there's been a delay. I figure it's back east in the snow or something. No, I find that Cerritos UPS facility has been holding it. I call, talk to the rep who says it's being held for "holiday packages". No, it's a big ass box that nobody wants to pick up. MY DOG IS HAVING SURGERY!!!!!! So now, I have to cancel everything I have planned to wait for a phone call from an incompetent company within an hour(?) to let me know when I can pick it up. I've lived at my address for over 10 years, 1z243fx1yw53285660 was not delivered and a message sent to me by UPS that "the customer has moved" and my parcel was forwarded to the US Postal Service for delivery. After my complaint, the package was retrieved from USPS and will delivered to me two days from now. I should have been here at least 7 days ago, now I have to wait 2 more days. This is the worst UPS store in the country. I left a suitcase with them to be delivered to Montana. The told me it would ship on December 12th and be delivered on December 15th. It didn't leave Cerritos until December 14th. As a result, the suitcase didn't get delivered until December 18th; too late to use it for a trip to Florida. Basically 1st/2nd/3rd attempt for a package delivery means the driver never left his truck. Pure laziness, and unfortunately everyone is on to you UPS.. This unfortunately is happening more and more. I do not write reviews often. However after my recent experience I had no choice but to write a review. I needed my credit card urgently and the bank rushed the cards on UPS Next Day Air Saver® and their Commitment is Next business day delivery by end of day. I tracked the package on UPS website which read out on delivery wonderful I said to myself. My package never got delivered. Next day it was Saturday so the Delivery was be rescheduled for Monday.I rang customer and was advised that they could not do anything as the UPS Cerritos Shipping center had thousands of packages and its holiday seasons. I am speechless. I read yelp reviews about this center and do not understand why someone at the top do something and why the customers have to suffer like this. Yelp really needs to have negative stars available for companies like this. After paying for two day shipping, I'm still sitting at my house waiting for the asshole driver who delivers to my area. Because of them I have had to go to two Xmas parties without gifts to give and tonight will be the third unless he gets here soon. After his 8:00 delivery attempt on the 24th (after waiting all day and leaving for our party at 7) he left an official UPS notice saying he would be here on the 26th between 10:30-2:00. Guess what? It's 3:00 and he's still not here. Unfortunately for me, I have to be here to sign as it requires an ID for delivery and all my neighbors who don't work are on vacation. So I get to wait all day. I've already seen one truck driving down my street at breakneck speed today. One would think that with how much they tout their "logistics" he would've had a delivery for the street he was driving down/around. Sadly, FedEx is just as bad. When I called UPS to ask where my stuff was, they of course could not tell me anything other than it was scheduled to be delivered today. When I asked why he left me an official UPS notice with a time checked on it she said that doesn't mean anything and they only guarantee delivery by end of business day and never give a time frame. I explained I was holding in my hand an official UPS notice that had times with check boxes next to them and asked if they don't offer time windows then why do they print notices with time windows on them. To every thing I asked/said she responded with, "I understand and I would be sooooo frustrated too." This Customer Service Center is 15 miles from my house. 30 miles round trip if I want to do UPS's job for them after paying them to do it and paying extra to do it quickly. I'm seriously going back to the USPS. At least they delivery their packages either first thing in the morning or at least by your regular mail time. Plus, I know my mail carrier and he'd never leave me without my packages or say he'd be there when he wouldn't. Add this to the fact that they don't deliver on weekends and you pretty much have the most worthless delivery company in the world. UPS, YOU SUCK! read more

I've called 21 time (and counting) during business hours and still no answer. I don't care how busy this place is letting 21 consecutive back to back phone calls go unanswered is absolutely unacceptable by any business standard. They also didn't call my phone to let me know they had arrived with my package, which I specifically contacted the seller to put my phone number on the package for. It said it was gonna deliver it to an access point a mile away, and there's an access point that's literally one block away. But! Two days passed (for some reason they couldn't deliver it on Saturday??) and surprise surprise they somehow couldn't deliver it to the access point so now I'm stuck staring at "delay: action required" on my screen. I'm honestly livid. I've never been so genuinely angry in my life. And I've played quite a few video games specifically designed to piss you off. Here's hoping my package doesn't fall through the cracks and disappear. I really really REALLY hate ups. And I dislike very few things in my life. read more

If I could give UPS, particularly this store and delivery center 0 stars I would. I just moved to Lakewood and my commute from work in Westwood just doubled. So, needless to say I don't get home until late evening. UPS delivered a package to my house at 1:30pm and required that I be present to sign for it. Ridiculous but okay, I signed the back of the form on the second attempt to authorize that they leave the package at my house. I come home to find another sticky note that is a "final notice" on my door, right next to the copy I signed. I called customer service and they told me that there is nothing they can do because the signature was on the final notice. I corrected the gentlemen and said that in fact the notice was posted up next to the signed notice. He was so daft and frustrating that I asked to speak to a manager. Never reached that point because they kept me on hold for 15+ minutes after being on the phone (and on and off hold) for 40+ minutes. Don't ship with UPS or order from companies who ship through UPS. I was waiting for a package ALL DAY! I received a slip on my gate that said he tried to deliver between 10:30-2:00. This was a lie because he tried at 7:43pm but just put the note on the gate. We constantly get notification that our package is scheduled on a certain day and after making work arrangement to be home, we wait and wait for the delivery only to get a second notification later in the day that the date has changed. With packages being stolen from our front porch, making work arrangements to be home on a certain day is critical for important/expensive packages. UPS use to be the best. That is no longer the case as packages are received dirty and crushed. FedEx is now our preferred delivery provider. read more

I wish I could give this UPS ZERO stars because that's what it deserves!! I had a really important package I needed delivered last week for my asthma and allergies and I got a notification saying I was getting a return to my card because my address was incorrect or missing my apartment number. I always double check my address when ordering and double checked again and my address was indeed correct. I had to reorder my package, paid for expedited shipping to get it within 2-3 days. One week later, get an email AGAIN saying that they attempted to deliver package and that my address was incorrect, which it is not. From the reviews that I see on yelp, I honestly think this is due to laziness of the driver. In my studio apartment complex you have to park on the street and walk through rows of other studios and I honestly think, they just drive by and don't even attempt to bother getting off and looking for my studio! I've had multiple packages come to me from FedEx the past couple of weeks and have not had a problem once with them using the same address, yet with UPS, they keep saying it's "incorrect." Nor did he ever come to my house on all THREE times that he stated that he did. I filed a complaint, but she only had excuses for her driver. After reading all these reviews I expected to spend hours in the office only for them to tell me they had lost it or something. But it went it as well as could be expected. I had missed the delivery attempts because of school so I called before seven and put the package on hold. I went to the office on a friday morning. No lines went straight up to a very nice lady who took the infonotice and check my id. She was only gone for like 3 mins and came back with my textbook. Generally I've been fine with UPS; however, this experience ruins it all: Ordered item on Weds morning through Amazon with 2 day shipping. Item confirmed via Amazon email and tracking (on both UPS site and Amazon) that item would deliver on Friday (which is important, because it's a gift I needed for Sat). So I specifically worked from home on Friday in order to be home to receive package. I had been checking on line on the UPS site to track the progress of the item. By Friday morning, the package had been scanned in at the local UPS hub (5 miles away from my house, a 10 min drive - max). Cool - item is almost here. A couple of hours later I look at the UPS tracking web site again, and the delivery date for some reason has been "updated" to Monday delivery. What!? I call Amazon and they confirm that Friday is still the delivery date requested and they are not sure why UPS has changed delivery to Monday, Amazon calls UPS to investigate, and UPS can't say why the delivery was changed to Monday, but that's what their system now shows and it can't be changed - even though Amazon is telling them delivery date is Friday. It's not even noon yet, so I offered to drive to pick up the item at UPS but they said they wouldn't release it to me until after a delivery attempt is first made on Monday. So package is currently just sitting at UPS, 10 min from my house, and still can't be received until Monday. UPS = clueless customer service. read more

This UPS location is horrible!! I called UPS & asked them to hold my package they told me to pick up at this location at 8:30. I arrive at 8:40 & the rent-a-cop tells me they are closed but let's some other guy walk in and pick up his package just because they knew each other. They should really give you the option of giving NO STARS. Let me start off by saying they have thieves and crooks working in this sorting facility and if you sign up for same day pick up, please beware. Asurion delivered my iPhone through this carrier. since I knew I possibly would not be available to sign for delivery, I arranged for same day pick up on 09/16 early in the morning. i get over to the facility at 7:30pm (30 mins before they open back up at 8pm) just to have them LIE and say my package hasnt arrived from the drivers truck yet. UMMMMM REALLY??? I just ran into the driver in my area (know him very well, same guy for years) and he told me that he has already sent the phone back in. After making a big fuss, I force them to check their records and look for my package. Some guy disappears for over an hour only to come back and say that the driver forgot to send my package up to the front for pick up and it got put back in the storage area for re-delivery and to come back tomorrow. I objected! i said "i dont care if you guys have to sort through 200 packages, im not leaving until I get my package". Workers in the front, "Im sorry we are having issues finding your package". Wait some more...then magically a hour and a half later (right before closing shop) my package appears. i sign for it, and go about my merry way. WHY DIDNT I OPEN IT WHILE I WAS STILL THERE? Because I should trust UPS doesnt have employees stealing right? WRONG. Get home, open my "re-packaged" box only to find the box had been tampered with and the iPhone was MISSING Someone had ripped open the plastic and taken my replacement device. Conveniently, they gave me my package right before closing with hopes that by the time I realized someone had stolen it, I wouldn't be able to go back that night. Welp, they messed with the wrong girl. i will be filing a police report ASAP! That is grand theft my friends. UPS needs to launch a investigation into that facility, I asked that Asurion NOT send my replacement through them (FED EX instead) because i dont even feel safe with anything going to that HUB anymore. And with deliveries of the Iphone 6 coming, Im sure there will be more claims to come. THE WORKERS IN THE WAREHOUSE are SHADY. I would say the best bet is to have the package delivered nrmally and check the contents before the driver leaves. Arranging for it to be sent back to this place is a huge RISK! I truly prefer FedEx over UPS because they are much friendlier and know how to talk to their customers. Yesterday I ordered something off Amazon and paid for NEXT DAY AIR so you would think I would get that right? WRONG! I check my tracking number only to find that UPS has changed the delivery location from my home to my UPS Access Point. I called UPS and spoke to this rude supervisor who claimed his name is Ray who told me I could pick my package up after 8PM tonight or between 10AM-1PM tomorrow. Now why am I being inconvenienced due to an error on UPS part??? It makes no sense and the supervisor claimed that he was trying to help me when in all actuality he was doing everything BUT THAT and when I asked him why my package couldn't be delivered today he said "because our drivers have already left and they won't be coming back to just deliver your package" I didn't ask them to though that's the thing! I do not live within walking distance from the warehouse so using my gas and my time to correct an error that was not made on my part does not seem right or fair. I honestly hope that UPS can get it together and learn how to speak to people because this is my 3rd bad experience with UPS in the last month and a half. I never had a problem with UPS, until a package was sent to this location. They are straight up LIARS. Package was supposed to arrive Tuesday, I worked from home because I needed that package for Thursday. At 5:36pm I see that the status had been updated to "nobody present", I had not moved from my apartment, there was a yellow slip on my mailbox and the delivery guy didn't even bother to ring the bell. I call very upset to customer service, they said that a manage of the facility would call me within an hour to reschedule a delivery for that sane night. Obviously that never happens. The so called manager called me at 2:30pm on Wednesday with a VERY BAD attitude and tells me my package will be delivered today. It's 7pm and the package hasn't arrived, so I log in with the tracking number. To my surprise "the apartment number is missing", what a surprise! It wasn't missing yesterday when you put that yellow slip on top of my mailbox. I call customer service again, they say my best option is to drive 10mi to this location to pick up my package tomorrow morning. I tell them I want to speak to someone with more power, because I didn't pay expedited shipping for this crap and I've been on hold for 20min. Nice one UPS. read more

My problem is different . A package was sent from Florida and it happily tracked all the way here until the 20th of November where it seemingly stalled at Vernon. On December 2nd after much frustration a search was initiated. Computer tracking now shows ( from the moment we initiated the search ) the lost package at Cerritos . I cannot find anyone who will tell me whether the package actualy made it to Cerritos or not and more worryingly , are they searching in the right place ???. They will search for a week. This item cannot be replaced , yes it's insured but that's not the point. UPS is attempting to streamline into no human contact , their lists of computer questions don't fit all situations and polite though they have been Customer Service on the phone can't do much except say that they ' understand' . I live in zip code 90806 and have to say that I have experienced good service from the drivers. I would love to think that someone is searching the correct location for my lost package and if they do find it I shall update the review BUT it's still way too difficult to get answers. read more
