This place is rude and loves to waste your time. I had a package that couldn't be delivered due to some error with the address. So to make things easy they had the driver call and say come pick it up. He said they close at 7pm. I got there and the lady said they close at 6pm. It was 6:07. She said "I turned someone away at 6:02". Really? To be that rude. I leave and had to talk to a supervisor and manager. Nobody knew why I was turned away. Some advise for anyone on here- let them use their money to pay a driver for time and gas to try and deliver it 1-3 times. That's what the company gets paid to do. Do not try and make things easy for yourself or them by picking it up. Because in the end you just end up wasting your own time. Waited in line for 2 hours today to pick up packages. Although customer service was very nice and helpful to me, I am rating this location 1 star due to lack of structure. The management of this place absolutely sucks. They only had 2 people working the Pick-Up location :( What's even more appalling is the lack of class customers have over their materialistic packages they are attempting to pick up. I was confused as to why there was a big security guard at the Pick-Up location, now I know why. So many customers yelling at the CSR's that are TRYING to help YOU by getting your packages. Instead of yelling at them, why not direct your anger towards the Executive Team that is poorly managing this location. Call UPS at their headquarters and start the revolution. If you want to see change, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, instead of bitching at customer service. WHICH by the way, they have no control over anything. I have received 3 products IN A ROW damaged. Either it gets damaged from processing to this store, or it is damaged when handling and picked up by the truck. Well I used to be a huge UPS user until they undelivered two packages after I left detailed instructions. The first time was my blanket from Korea, and it was on a Saturday and the line was super long and only one person at the counter. The recent one had instructions I left from MyUPS.com. I even called to verify that the status showed up on their end. Still had to drive 20 miles one way just to get my package. I will never do business with UPS ever again. I will even call the place I am doing business to confirm the shipping method to avoid doing business with UPS. USPS does a better job these days and is more reliable and has better customer service!!! Go figure!! read more

I'm going to try to keep this review limited to the actual customer center, not UPS on the whole. It's ok. I've never had an outright horrible experience, but nothing knocked my socks off service wise either. I usually end up here b/c I miss a delivery that for whatever reason is 'signature on delivery.' I try not to go the same night, because it takes too long for them to unload the truck and find the stuff and I think these days they close at 6pm, so most of the time the trucks aren't even back at the station yet. So when my package has been safely stowed and waiting for me for several hours, it's easy-peasy, no hassle. The employees are cordial enough, no real complaints. One time the security guard gave me an attitude because I was walking in like 5 minutes before they closed, and he tried to tell me to 'run' or he'd lock me out. That was annoying, but what else do you expect from an observe & report rent a cop? Anyway, I like coming here better than the post office..but FedEx is closer to the house, so it's usually my 1st choice. read more

Wow- I don't know if I was at a different UPS center versus the other reviews, but I was super impressed by the UPS at Cerritos. It was not such a bad drive from Long Beach and was easy to find (had my handy GPS with me). First, the two gentlemen who were working on Friday morning were super nice and really friendly. I was watching one of the UPS guys help this older woman, who could not find her package- the UPS person called around and they found it for her. What struck me was he was SO polite and patient. I was really impressed. My package was there and it too me no time to get and head back the LBC. I am really surprised that people have had a bad experience at this UPS. Thanks!! read more

I do not understand the reason companies like Nordstrom and Apple use UPS as their delivery service. A driver from the Cerritos Location delivered on 6/2/2020 to my home in Long Beach an empty box from Apple that was supposed to have a cell phone inside. What is most upsetting is the audacity lack of integrity and nerve this driver had as he walked up to my doorstep to leave an EMPTY BOX. It does not take a genius to know the box was empty since the weight listed states 1lb. To all people, I would recommend that any time you know UPS is delivering something you put up a note that reads "DO NOT DELIVER WITHOUT SIGNATURE" and even then in front of the driver open the box. My friend's father signed for a package and when she opened the box it was empty. Lastly, it is my understanding the UPS is union and they get paid well, so do you really need to steal your customers items? Purchase your own. read more

I wish I can give UPS -5 stars because they are absolutely no help at all! I've called 2 times for help to ask if I can simply pick up my package, which was being delivered to me from the UPS center, but I'm not allowed because the sender needed it to be delivered and signed. Would that really matter since I will sign for it when I pick it up? On my third attempt to call, I spoke with a rep, and when he couldn't help me further, and after not being on the phone for over a couple of minutes he had the nerve to hang up. Now on the 2nd attempt of delivery, it has taken much longer than the first delivery attempt,so we've been stuck at home waiting for the damn package, with important plans on our day off. So again, why can't I pick up my own package!? Wouldn't that save them time and money? Instead they're wasting their time,gas money and our time. Update: The package never came the day we were waiting. Reason being was that there was some kind of fluid spill, so it was delayed until the following week. This was around 8:00pm, I kept updating my status to find that it was delivered back to the UPS center. Seriously??? I had to check and find out for myself, and waited from 5:00pm until the latest promise time...No words can describe how frustrated and infuriated I was. When I did get my package, which was a big screen TV, the screen was cracked. So I had to return it, so again, the waiting game started all over. I checked my delivery status and it says 9:58 with that reason. I called customer service and was told to pick it up at Moore and my package will be there. I drove 10 miles and it was freaking closed! I had to drop things I have planned just for this and wasted my time. I called again and the agent told me its open, I am standing there and its closed. This is the worst shipping company and branch I've every encountered! I ordered my HoneyBaked Ham to be delivered 11/22 for my thanksgiving dinner on 11/23... I paid a ton of money to make sure my Ham would be delivered on time! I took the entire day off work so that I could make sure I was home to receive my package! Me and my son waited all day in the living room with the garage open and the picture window open to make sure we heard the delivery man! My item had been on the delivery truck per the tracking since 8:57 a.m. we thought it would be delivered early because it was perishable..but after waiting all day this wasn't the case...we gave UPS the benefit of the doubt because it is the holiday season...I get an alert at 6:14 that a delivery attempt was made and a note was left...this alert came simultaneously as I'm actually sitting outside talking with one of my neighbors!!!! No UPS truck in sight! I called customer service and explained to them what happened! They said the computer states an attempt was made and a note was left.... I again told them unless the UPS man is invisible there was no attempt made... I also asked them where exactly did he leave a note..because there is no note anywhere on my home! Of course they weren't able to give me that information! Why would you have a customer service number at a delivery company that can do absolutely nothing about a package not being delivered! Wait!!!! It gets better! I told the customer service agent that I would go pick up the package because I had paid so much money and after today the ham has no value to me....she then told me that the cerritos office closed at 6:00pm....Now isn't that convenient that my perishable item would be on the delivery truck since 9:00am and that finally the UPS driver "attempts" to make a delivery at 6:14 pm..14 minutes after after this location closes!!!!!! This is infuriating to write but necessary because the people here cannot seem to follow simple directions or requests. Package delivery was missed a couple times, Yes that was my fault as life took over. HOWEVER I went on the site later that night of the 2nd missed delivery and requested the package be held at the hub. The site confirmed it and so I set my day up to pick it up the next day at this facility. I arrived to find out that the request had been received BUT MY PACKAGE WAS STILL PUT ON THE TRUCK. WASTE OF MY DAY! Gets better..... The staff called one of their own and confirmed that they would attempt to deliver the package the next day, even though it was a "Close 3" status since someone had NOT HONORED my "Hold at hub" request and put it on the truck I get to my facility the next day which is today? Wow. I thought I was going crazy. Same thing has been happening to me. I work from home so it's vital that I get my packages. First they "lost" a package with original documents. Then they threw a package over my patio wall that is at the back of my house with a sign that says specifically, "please do not throw packages over this wall" during the end of December with the torrential rains we had been having. I didn't find the package until 3 days later when I went to the back patio to clean up after the storm. I have asked several times for them to ring my door bell when they arrive and I want to sign for my packages. I work from home. I am always here and last Friday I found a note on the ground near my back patio saying they made 3 attempts at delivering my package. I AM ALWAYS at home. I just don't get it. When I called Cerritos for the 5th time to let them know what the driver was doing they defended the driver. I was stunned. Now I have to go and pick up my package because they won't re-deliver it. Oh, well. I'm writing to warn of the bad service but to also let others know they are not crazy. The drivers and the customer service don't care. I received multiple packages from UPS last week; one which was left at my door and another which would be rescheduled for redelivery due to a signature being required. Not wanting to wait the entire weekend for the second package, I went online to arrange to have my package picked up and was promised a return phone call from UPS within the hour. I was pleasantly surprised to have been called within five minutes, and was told when to go to this location for the pick up. Upon arriving at the Cerritos UPS Customer Center, I noticed the long line, which consisted of about 20-30 customers before me. The UPS workers were diligently handling their customers and whittling the line down. By the time, I got to the front of the line, I was greeted by UPS employee Andre, who hustled to locate my package. I also inquired about a "Surepost" package (packages that are originally shipped via the USPS, but pawned off to UPS) that I learned last minute that I was scheduled to receive that same day, and Andre arranged to have that package brought up. I was impressed with the expeditiousness and professionalism of the customer service crew, and would have no hesitation shipping via UPS from or to this location in the future. read more

I'd like to start by saying this isn't a regular ups store, this is a customer service department at the warehouse. Maybe its just me, but I'm not expecting a whole lot. One of my packages had an incorrect address, ups caught the mistake and held it at this location. There was no wait time and the man that helped me was polite. UPS My Choice allows me to reroute my packages from sender to delivery at a UPS store, shipping center, and access point location for pick up. All there is needed is to sign up online for a UPS My Choice account. I am able to order online without worrying about missing packages. It saves me time and headache without having to leave work early and rush home in traffic, waiting for UPS to deliver at 10:00pm, package being delivered to wrong address, nor worry about someone stealing off my front door. UPS My Choice will send you an email that your package is ready for pick up at your requested store. Make sure to check store pick up hours and bring your ID for verification. When I order online, it is important for me to find out what shipping carrier is used. If it is shipped via UPS, you just need to login to your UPS My Choice account and provide a tracking number to arrange a reroute. Although I never had to pay a fee for delivery to a UPS store or shipping center, the access point locations may charge a fee. I never had any service issues at this location although you may have to wait for your package that is still on the truck and/or wait in a long line. I rather wait then worry about my package stolen from the front door, the "attempt or we come back tomorrow" delivery drama, or handed to a "friendly" next door neighbor. Forget all that! read more

I've been shipping various items through this distribution center since '98. With the massive amounts that get fed through, there have been delays, mis-routings and damages. That's part of the game and it's numbers. Pack it properly, a verified address, SIGNATURE RECEIPT, insure for the value and you've done the best that can be expected. Notify the receiver of the tracking # and hope they do their part by keeping an eye out if you select drop. The drivers that deliver to my residence are regulars. They have done their job and done it reliably. There are three for my area and depending on the time of drop, I know who it is, the regular drop is late afternoon. In all these years one drop was left next door. UPS web site indicated the package was "out for delivery". I heard the truck drive up but the bell didn't ring as usual. Weird, checked the web site and it indicated "delivered- front door". I looked out and nada. I went to my neighbor's door and there it was. :/ Busy times at the counter IME: ~9-10AM, lunch hour and from 4:30 till close, it varies though. Shipping after Thanksgiving the worst I have experienced is a 20 minute wait. Shout for Richard though all the guys and gals have been good. :) read more

Worked in the warehouse for delivery packages and there is one guy Alvin he is the absolute worst. He works under the Long Beach delivery area. Instead of training on my first days he just cursed at me and treating me like crap. I mean like I'm some peasant. I never should have let him treat me like this. The higher up boss didn't give a crap as well. Terrible people and terrible environment to work for. I ended up getting pneumonia one day and worked in the rain and had no help and still got yelled at. I went to the hospital for a few days and was left with the possibility of death and thousands in bills to pay. And I came back to work and they didn't say anything apologize instead just yelled at me and cursed at me all over again. And being me I'm the one who felt guilt and sorry for not being there for the company. This place is the worst starting from management all the way down. I would've been a tremendous worker for them but it's another loss for a company that would've had a loyal and hardworking employee smh. Do better and better better. read more

I had paid extra for an overnight delivery and for some reason UPS wouldn't leave it without anyone being there -- ok not a big deal, still frustrating but whatever. I called and customer service said the package would be held. Received a message from Katie saying my window to pick up is 8-8:30. I was trying to call customer service because I knew it was going to be close and there was no way to get ahold of the location --- no way for the main office to get ahold of them (ridiculous). I arrived right at 8:30 (I hit traffic or else I wouldn't have pushed it that close) and the gates were already closed and nobody was here. I am not one to complain, but I drove 20 minutes out of my way because I needed the item for tomorrow. read more

i agree with all the other 1 star reviews on here. this company has gone down hill and is shit. i ordered a package on wednesday for overnight delivery on friday. it does not show up at the dodge dealership on Friday so i asked if i can juat pick it up at the ups store. they agreed so i called prior to allow me to pick up. they said someone would call me but i didn't receive a call all day or night. then on Saturday it doesn't show up so they said monday for sure. oh also i forgot to mention the customer service rep on Friday was nice but i couldn't understand a damn thing he was saying as he had a thick hispanic accent. if you're going to be a customer service rep for americans why can't we get americans who speak english correctly please. anyways its monday now and im hoping i can go pick up the package . i dont trust them or this company. It's always a bad experience, but last time was IT! I'm really never buying anything that ships via UPS again. I had to drive 40 min. out there (because UPS won't hold anything at the UPS store in Long Beach unless you pay them 40 bucks a month), then I waited in line for 30 more min. Finally, I was helped but it took the guy ANOTHER 20 min. to look for the package, only to come back and tell me he couldn't find it. He said, "it's like a finding a needle in a haystack back there.
