I've tried a few dry cleaners around the area. This one used to have reasonable prices, but it's quite expensive now. They have never disappointed in providing a clean well-pressed dress shirt, suit, dress pants, etc. They have never been late per their ticket pickup time. I think if anyone is looking for a dry cleaner in the area, it gets the job done in my experience with the pricing where it is now, I can't necessarily say it's good value. read more

I called ahead of time to get a new button on my khaki pants . I was told $5.00. I provided the button as well. I prepaid and when I picked up it was $10 total. I did not get any cleaning. This place nickel and dime. I can't justify $10 to add a button back on when it's provided . I will never come back !!! read more

Don't waste your money at this place, I went to get may jeans extra heavy starch when I went to go pick them up they weren't even heavy starch. THIS IS A TERRIBLE cleaners. Ive lived in Dallas, Miami, California, and Austin and this is by far the worst place I've taken my clothing to. Raheem Rondo Moomin said he was the owner but he was extremely rude. They totally faded a pair of sweatpants I took there. Then he used A term asking me "if I wanted to go band for band". A really crazy racial undertone attached, idk did he say that because I'm African American, not sure but it didn't sit well with me at all. He also made fun of me buying clothing saying I shouldnt be buying sweatpants that cost $100. Who are you to tell Me what to purchase, especially as a dry cleaners. He says they do business with sports teams here in Houston but I wonder if they know he judges them on the types of clothing they buy and how much it costs. He even laughed continuously at the fact that they ruined my pants. I won't be visiting this cleaners again. They ruined my clothing, seem extremely racist and the owner is extremely rude and argumentative. Oh let me also not forget that they didn't even reimburse me for my pants. We've lived in the area for some time but never seen this cleaners and decided to try it since it's walking distance from our home and I wish we had not. The prices are outrageous! And I'm a small businesses owner so I rarely complain about price but what they charge in insane and the quality of their work is mediocre at best! I was charged 60$ for two blankets and one which they said the stain couldn't be removed which was false because my normal cleaners got it out for 9$ and I was still charged full Price. 10 for a shirt. They offer 50 percent off for first time clients which doesn't include comforters/blankets/curtains and I still paid almost 200. My dress was dirty as if it had been dragged across the floor at the bottom and this was a mini dress so how is that even possible. I do not recommend this cleaners. The name is kind of a deterrent. Makes me think its overpriced. But when I had a $600 gown that needed drycleaning, I'll overpay as long as I know I can wear the gown again. I used them for the first time before the holidays. They gave me the 50% discount but unfortunately it costs me a fortune. I brought one of my favorite Saks cashmere sweaters to be cleaned. When I picked it up it had shrunk so much I could not even put the sweater on. I returned it to them with a promise they would contact me asap. No call. I had to call them back. At that time I was informed that they had "stretched" my sweater and I could come pick it up. I was not asked if this resolution would work for me. I went to the place to pick it up. The sweater was stretched all right. It was now thin, with tight short arms, misshapen, and looking like something you would purchase at a discount store. I told them this was not satisfactory and after getting a bunch of drama and back talk from the clerk i had to go to ANOTHER Upscale to attempt to resolve my problem. I spoke with the manager who assured me the issue would be taken care of. The manager called me the next day and asked me if i had a receipt. Unfortunately I did not. He said he would look online. I got a text the next day offering $50 check or $50 in dry cleaning. Seriously.. This was a nice ( Not feather weight) textured Saks cashmere sweater, hardly worn. And $50 is what they came up with. Not to mention The offer for dry cleaning... you have just ruined my cloths, offered me pennies on the dollar, and want me to bring you more of our clothes??? Seriously. Done... This company is a recommended establishment through the concierge service at my building. Mid-July, I had several items dry cleaned there. Several clothing items that amounted to $112 and my comforter that was $45. When I received the comforter back it appeared smaller--it didn't hang off of my bed how it normally does and there were multiple seams undone. So began a weeks long saga. When I called to discuss the matter, a worker named Eric was rude and hung up on me. I discussed the matter with my concierge service, who had a great deal of concern and empathy and worked with the company to find a resolve. When I spoke to the owner, Rondo, we were on the phone for almost 30 min before after me mentioning his rude employee several times and stating plainly that the customer service of his establishment was appalling, he finally apologized for Eric's behavior. Then went on to brag about how excellent they do in customer service. Upon receiving the comforter back I was told that they measured it and the measurements matched the tag. When I mentioned the unraveling and scrunching of the seams (usually an indicator of shrinking) he said that they didn't notice that. I questioned how after having it for more than a week, allegedly to examine it no one noticed? He just repeated that they hadn't noticed. So I sent him a video of multiple seams unraveling and scrunching. No reply. Fortunately, for the establishment the concierge service ate the cost of the service or I would have disputed it with my credit card company. I do not pay pay for bad service, bad behavior and damaged property. A lesson to all that these companies are not entitled to your money. When they get audacious do the same. Somehow, they have decided that they can say whatever and do whatever and consumers just have to deal with it. Absolutely not. I've already warned several residents in my building of how they conduct themselves and will continue to spread the word. read more

I am a nurse who was recently promoted to an assistant director position, so bye bye scrubs! And, I needed to find somewhere I could trust to clean and press my business clothes and suits. I saw this cleaners and wanted to give them a try. Though the reviews were mixed, I figured I'd try my luck. After all, they did have a 50% special for new customers. Now, I wish I hadn't. Several of my blouses and all of my blazers still smell worn. The one I wore to a cigar bar still smells like cigars. I know they didn't clean my clothes. They just pressed them. So, I'm left doing the work that I paid to be done. So much for convenience. read more

Over the past month or two, I've brought in a few work aprons for Upscale to repair and to reinforce the stitching, specifically with contrasting thread. They done great work every time. The last time, there were some delays, but Upscale was very quick to make that right. They even delivered it to me where I work. That means a lot to me. I dropped off several hats to them as they quoted me a really good price to get patches for my local business sewed onto them. When I went to pick up the hats, they had made a mistake and sewn the sweat-band in the hat to the patch. They were quick to apologize, take the hats back, and sew again. Unfortunately, the quality was very sub par. The patches were not centered, several (over half) were crooked, and the stitching was inconsistent all over the place. After I received the hats the second time, the owner Sam Momin reached out to me via email to see how I liked the hats and to ask for referral of my clients to his store, while I replied and let him know about the quality of the tailoring and my disappointment, I never heard back. This may have been a one off, but I felt compelled to share my story so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I have since moved to a place in EaDo for the tailoring and they have been great. read more

Okay...this review is long overdue. Upscale Cleaners has been my dry-cleaning option since I moved to Houston and they pulled off the miracle of miracles! I was having lunch at Ibiza and wearing my favorite white dress. All was well until a co-worker accidentally elbowed a fill glass of red wine straight into my lap. When I realized that I was next to Upscale Cleaners I ran...yes ran into the store and said in a stunned gasp...help! They gave me my dry-cleaning that I was due to pick-up, I changed my clothes and handed over the red-wine-soaked designer dress and tried to stay hopeful. It was hilarious to start lunch in one outfit and return 10 minutes later in another. That white dress came back the following week completely and perfectly cleaned...I mean perfect. I was stunned, grateful and needed to share that this place is truly bringing customer service and they are so very nice. Truly awesome! read more

Things started out good with the Upscale cleaners located on Polk, but this last trip I went to pick up some blouses only to find they were completely ruined. The woman at the desk didn't have any answers, but she took pictures and called the owner. He told her he would look into it, refused to talk to me directly and told her to tell me "he would call me in the next few days". At this point I have no idea how my blouses got ruined or what they plan to do to rectify the situation. I am stuck waiting for a call I have little confidence will ever come. The owner would not speak to me while I was at the location and the woman working on site had no information to give me. I understand that some times clothing gets damaged at a dry cleaners, but their refusal to even speak to me or offer a solution is disappointing to say the least. read more

This is the worst place to get your dry cleaning done In downtown Houston. I have tried to give this place several chances and each time, they have ruined at least one article of clothing (shirt, dress, etc.) To me, this isn't even the biggest issue. When I mentioned to the lady at the front desk that they had ruined some of my clothes, she was EXTREMELY rude and defensive. The worst employee interaction I've ever had. Save your time and money and go somewhere else, there's a perfectly good dry cleaning place nearby. read more
