After waiting 40 minutes for a pizza, I asked the employee for a status update as I needed to board my flight. She said "it's not ready yet" without even asking my name. I proceeded to ask to cancel my order and asked for a refund. The help I received - another guy (who didn't speak a word) took a picture of my order and texted an unsaved number claiming it was the manager. I this my first review I ever wrote, this how much I'm annoyed at this place. My plan changed 3 gates and still managed to get ready faster then my 3 ingredients pizza, which i never saw because I had to fly. I understand holiday travel chaos and everything it comes with, but I don't understand the attitude and bad service of the staff at uptop pizza today. When another frustrated customer asked a worker on an update on her pizza because she's been waiting for half an hour a worker rudely snapped at her saying "look you ordered 30 minutes ago and there's people who ordered 43 minutes ago, see the difference?" Zero sympathy. All it takes is to say hey I'm sorry we know you're frustrated. I waited for 45 minutes before I left because I had a flight to catch, I told another random client my name and order and told them to keep it. With the attitude of the staff there I knew there was no way I'd get a refund in a reasonable amount of time for me to get in my plane. If they knew how insanely long the wait time is they could've been honest up front. 0/10 read more

Pizza is fine but expensive for what it is. Don't introduce a new text message system to let a customer know when their order is ready if you're not going to use it to let the customer know it's ready! Staff was very rude and said "your pizza has been waiting". I did not get any notification whatsoever that my pizza was ready and I only went up as it was taking nearly 25 minutes to get it. The one positive is that the pizza is made to order so your food will be hot. But the wait time is unacceptable. Most people order carry out food because they don't have time to sit and dine. I waited 40 minutes for my food and made it to my gate just in time. I was actually walking away as they called my name. I had to dig my own fountain soda cup and lid from their original bags and there were no straws. They also have no crushed pepper or parmesan cheese. The set up is poor where they can only make so many pizzas at once so there were several pizzas prepped but no way to bake them until the others were finished. The employees moved at a pretty leisurely place while about 20 people stood watching at any given minute. I had to carry a large pizza box on the plane and dump my drink because it was too much to take quickly. The food was mediocre. Unless you have at least an hour to wait, eat somewhere else. read more

Not bad at all. You order via the iPads at the counter. My pepperoni took about ten minutes, and was decent; just be sure to have a seating area scoped out when you get your pizza. Delicious pizza! I had the spinach and artichoke with ricotta (white pizza). You order using iPads, step to the right (across the aisle) and scan your receipt to pay, then they will call your order number. Pizza takes about 10 minutes. Great crust and tasty toppings. My rule of thumb is to not expect much from airport food. That said, occasionally I'm surprised and try to pass on my finding to other hungry travelers. My daughter and I were flying through Newark Liberty International and decided to stop at UpTop Pizza. My daughter got a Cheese Pie ($10.50) and I the Meatball Pie ($14.00). I'm happy to report that both were better than expected and good enough to order outside of the airport. For me, that is saying a lot! Once I got it it was gross and floppy and when I picked it up the cheeses and topping all just slid off. Average pizza but my pizza had 3 inflated bubbles on it. That of course meant that most of my pizza was nothing but crust and barely there tomato sauce. I even requested pepperoni and olives but they were barely there. Also, if you're in a hurry this is not the place to go.
