Best New Jersey pizza I've had. My coworkers hyped this place up and it definitely lived up to its expectations. Pizza is delicious and full of cheese all the way to the crust. I never eat crust but I couldn't pass this one up. I had a slice of the pepperoni and a slice of the cheese pizza, both equally delicious. Pizzas are a little on the greasy side but nothing a little dab of napkins couldn't solve. Now let's talk about the owner Joe. While many reviews here are not very fond of him and had bad experiences. I can only speak of my interactions with him the day I went. Joe was very friendly, personable and attentive. He asked how the pizza was and I had a chance to chat with him. I have only great things to say about him. I also grabbed one of Joe's drinks a strawberry lemonade and it was fantastic by far some of the best I've had. In my humble opinion, this is a must stop if you're in the area. There's plenty of parking it is a cash only place but they do have an ATM located inside. read more

Very disappointing experience. The pizza was overpriced, and unfortunately, the quality didn't come close to justifying the price. I picked up a couple of pizzas for the guys at a job site, and no one had anything positive to say about them. The pizza was extremely oily, very soft, and soggy. For the price, I honestly expected much better quality. The service was just as disappointing. My order was not prepared with the correct number of pizzas, and instead of apologizing or trying to make things right, the owner gave me an attitude as if the mistake was somehow my fault. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them makes a big difference. Another thing to consider is that they are cash-only. I can understand not accepting credit cards, but not even accepting debit cards is pretty inconvenient--especially when their ATM wasn't working either. Between the overpriced, oily and soggy pizza, the poor customer service, and the payment inconvenience, I unfortunately can't recommend this place. The pie was incredibly oily, salty, and the dough was dry like cardboard. How is that even possible? By the way, it's cash only. The owner seemed too cool to run the store. He almost acted like a local celebrity, expecting to be treated as such. It was almost as if taking orders was beneath him. He made me wait while he chatted away with another customer. It was my first time at joes but their thin pizza was out of this world. We got a Margherita pizza with vodka sauce. The staff was friendly and nice. Sadly they do not take card, cash only and their ATM was down so we went across the street to get cash. The hassle alone made it inconvenient but now we know for next time and will be better prepared. read more

This was a really confusing experience all around. Ordering took quite a while. Once we got our slices we asked for plates instead of a box - we were given a box and sat down with it to eat. On Saturday January 10th I placed an over the phone at 4:27pm when I arrived Joe the owner asked me what did I ordered I told him what I ordered and the number I was given over the phone several people came in and placed their order and they received their order before I received my order Joe was very rude I disrespectful to me when I asked where was my order he told me that I have to wait I replied I have waited long enough he continued to be rude by saying maybe they called in their order I said back to him so did I, after I paid for my order he pushed the box towards me on the counter I waited 45 minutes for my one pie (pizza) it doesn't take that long to bake pizza. What business owners fail to realize if people don't buy from their business they wouldn't be in business, there are other pizzeria's around. Great pizza and great atmosphere. Cooked to perfection. The crust was not quite crisp enough for me but everything else about it was so good I can overlook that. Very thin with a nice ring caramelized cheese on the edge. Excellent sauce and cheese. A smidgen of grease on it which, in my book, points to authentic mozzarella cheese. The staff is lively and very NJ, particularly the nice lady in the Rangers shirt that took my order. The pizza came out in less than 2 minutes. They gave me a pizza coming out of the oven they were going to use for slices. It reheated well. So, I very much enjoyed it and would highly recommended but it was just outside what I consider the cream of the crop. So close though. There are a few other pizzas I would consider better but not too many. You won't be disappointed. read more

They've upped their game. It's always been my local go to spot for thin crust, but sometimes it could be too thin and greasy-still good, though. Joe stick to the receipt that made you famous. Add the right amount of sauce, cheese and don't alter the dough receipt. My last 2 visits were disappointing. The taste and texture were not there. I see reviews about the employees being rude or racists and that's honestly not true at all! Clearly a few people are just bitter about something and coming here to "get back" at the pizza place lol I've never experienced any bit of racism at the pizza place!! I remember reading a review about black people not sitting there to eat....what?! Lol maybe not the one day that person was there because I literally always see all races sitting in there eating no problem!
