And although there isn't much competition around here, I would still say that this restaurant is worth a stop. The staff are all super friendly. The view of the lake is great. And the food is good. I got the breakfast wrap, which has a healthy portion of eggs and sauteed veggies. It tastes phenomenal and I would most certainly get it again. I had mine with fruit, which was fresh, but having tried the potatoes, I think that's the way to go! The only note is that they do put the salsa in the wrap, and so it does tend to leak out the bottom. The rest of the table got the salmon lox which looked phenomenal. Large portions of smoked salmon. The scrambled eggs are fluffy. And the onions and capers add really nice acidity. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so unfortunately I can't speak to their drinks too well.

Update re: baking mixes purchased…read more We have now tried and finished all the mixes that were purchased -- as follows: - blueberry chai hot cereal mix -- daughter purchased for Mom -- nice selection of ingredients -- prepared 'as is', without any additions of fruits, berries, or the like -- nice 'delicate' aroma, flavourful, and tasty -- she sure enjoyed it. - buttermilk pancake / waffle mix -- used for pancakes only -- prepared without any additions -- pancakes were light, fluffy, and sure good tasting -- 'the' best prepared product of its kind ever tasted -- much-enjoyed. - milk chocolate fudge brownie mix -- resulting brownies 'sweet & rich' -- very flavourful, and tasty. - plain scone mix -- prepared 'as is', without any additions -- scones light, fluffy, with a 'delicate' flavour -- tasty, and much-enjoyed. We were impressed!! and really enjoyed these 'Mother Hubbard's' prepared baking mixes. My wife and I have recently started going here for all the little sweet treats they have and we have never been disappointed. Whenever we walk in we are always greeted with friendly smiles and great customer service. The cake turned out absolutely perfect and the decorator did an amazing job. Usually when a cake looks this beautiful it doesn't taste that great, but this was not the case! The cake was both visually pleasing and also very delicious. My one criticism I have would be the email communication. When I first ordered the cake via their website I received an email back that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, and most emails after I got the same vibe. In the end everything worked out and my wife was head over heels for the cake which was the most important thing. I will definitely still be recommending this bakery to anyone who wants a delicious and professionally decorated cake for any occasion, or to anyone looking for a nice dessert.

The Cappuccino was fantastic, tasting consistently palpable. I also had their Almondine Croissant, which I found fresh, crunchy and tasty overall. The service was pretty proficient as well, where they use a beeper system to call customers from their tables. Although, they do call your name sometimes too. This business is a hotspot for special events as well with a bulletin board in the back telling you what is happening.
