When I came into the Blue Moose, I was overwhelmed by the countenance of the establishment and how busy it was. The interior of the business looked like it was a kitchen and bar from the mild lighting, the sophisticated décor and the spacious layout of the dining area. Even for a coffee house, they have a large selection of baked goods and sandwiches to choose from that you would take a moment to think about what you would order. I ordered the Bacon Breakfast Waffle Sandwich with the Cappuccino with oat milk. The sandwich was very good with the waffles being flavourful on their own. The Cappuccino was fantastic, tasting consistently palpable. I also had their Almondine Croissant, which I found fresh, crunchy and tasty overall. The service was pretty proficient as well, where they use a beeper system to call customers from their tables. Although, they do call your name sometimes too. This business is a hotspot for special events as well with a bulletin board in the back telling you what is happening. So, the Blue Moose Coffee House is a highly recommendable place to have breakfast, lunch, a take-out meal or just to socialize. I look forward to coming back to this place. read more

When we stop to charge car, we have always stopped at the closest place. Today we walked half a block further and discovered this jewel. Lots of seating. Good selection of pastries including vegan croissants. Coffee was good and hot. Service was great. The young man behind the counter was lovely and welcoming. The only negative was a bit slow to get your coffee. However not their fault. They were just super busy. This will be our new regular stop. read more

This was a fun place to visit as we were passing thru town, right across from the bustling city park. The vibe was bright and welcoming and service was friendly and prompt. My wife enjoyed her turkey sandwich, especially because she had it made to order. My Thai wrap was decent, but seemed a bit lacking in flavor. They have great coffee and baked goods, like the incredible berries scone and the powerful mocha that didn't burn the lips or tongue! The people were very friendly and full of suggestions on places to go on our way to Whitehorse. They are very attentive to gluten free needs. Good but slow service at a cafe in Hope. Clean premise, bathroom was a long line up ( needs another bathroom). Nice decor. Kinda expensive for what you get for the lunch fare however it was pretty good and nothing to complain about regarding the food itself. Coffee was ok. Very cute cafe in Hope with a great selection of sandwiches. I got the mac n cheese and thought it was delicious. I heard from the people next to me that they thought the cheese tasted a little more processed than previous visits. I also got the London Fog which was similar to Starbucks both taste and price wise. I'd definitely come here again if I visit Hope. read more

We stopped at The Blue Moose for lunch on route home form the Okanagan. The Blue Moose is located right across from a park which is great if you wanna get out and stretch your legs or if u little people that need to stretch, scream, climb and all that (playground). Blue Moose is basically a sandwhich shop, but they also have a couple salad options and baked goods as well, oh and java!!!! I had a quite enjoyable Americano with Almond milk and I went for their popular Turkey Pesto Flatbread, which came with bacon. My only complaint about my food was that the bacon was very fatty and really could have been cooked more, otherwise, it was very tasty. If I ordered it again I would omit the bacon all together. Along with their creative sandwhich list you can choose to build your own deli sandwich or you can go with a wrap instead. Its a great option for non fast food, but quick to go food when you are passing their Hope. PS, the bathrooms are closed with covid, but there are bathrooms in the park and the Rambo statue is also there (bonus). read more

On the way back to Vancouver from Osoyoos, I stopped by Hope and grabbed something to eat with my friends. We visited this nice and comfortable cafe coffee house. We rested and grabbed a quick bite. This cafe coffee shop has a lot of varieties of sandwiches, paninis, baked goods, soup, coffee, tea and etc. I highly recommend that this is the best coffee shop to go to in Hope. I go back and forth from the Okanagan to the coast monthly to visit family and don't normally stop through Hope. However, my son & I were hungry and where we were staying we were waaay past DT Chilliwack. I think friends of ours raved about this place as they said it was across from the park and not the deli so we decided to try it out. Yes, it was definitely the kind of place our friends would go to and it certainly had a great vibe. A big stuffy moose manned the front door and nice to see kids in there! We grabbed a table and all my son wanted was a grilled cheese and yep, they had that! Came with some sides like tortilla chips and veggie sticks which IMOmuch healthier than fries! I ordered the butternut soup and a turkey sandwich which also had tortilla chips instead of crackers. The soup was delicious and flavourful and filling too! I had a whole sandwich but certainly couldn't finish it and luckily they have no problem of putting it into a to go container that was environmentaly friendly. I also had an Americano and my son got a brownie as part of his lunch combo. Really yummy brownie he declared and shared a bite with me! Lol! Service is order at the counter and pick up at the end. Free wifi and lots of spots to sit & eat . Only 2 very small bathrooms hiding around the corner. The noise level was fine as trying to have breakfast/lunch after an evening of wine & partying can be daunting. There is a bit of wait for our sandwiches but the oozy crispy cheese from my son's sandwich was worth it. My turkey was just alright as I found it a little dry and the bread was dense ( I had no mayo) and I think if it was toasted it would have been much much better! That said, we will come back again and explore the menu more - it looks like a hot spot in the evening but hard to do that with kids in tow! read more

Stopped in on a sunny Saturday morning just before noon. The place is packed! Waited in line 10mins to place our order. This place MUST be good to have this kind of traffic. Maybe NOT Food is crazy pricey. 2 sandwiches a small soup & a black coffee came to $28. The sandwiches were nothing special. We had a Turkey flat bread and a Chicken panini. Both disappointed. The soup was 'Chicken with Wild Rice" and must be from a can. The coffee was ok We wont be back. A little confused as to the high preciously posted reviews. Is this a one-off? New management? We've come here another four times since I first reviewed Blue Moose, and it remains a great place to visit. The drinks are good, the food tastes great, and our son always cuddles up to the big moose that sits by the front door. He cries and asks for moose for about 10 minutes after we leave. The atmosphere is nice and there's some good variety of options, but they didn't have any consistent menus out for display which made the wait time very long (about 35 minutes just to place an order, plus wait time for food) and the portion sizes were very small for the high prices. I ordered a wrap, salad and drink for $25 and was still hungry after. I'd recommend going there for drinks but the food was a bit disappointing especially considering the decent ratings. I had kombucha and it was great, the falafel wrap was alright but again, the prepackaged salad and wrap were both very small.
