Yesterday, I had an emergency with one of my students and I couldn't make it to the appointment. As a High School Teacher things happen last minute. I called the very next day to work a solution to somewhat recover part of the money and do another service another time and they just charged me 150 dollars. 150 Dollars. I highly recommend this hidden gem for your beauty needs! The environment is very charming as the name suggests and very calming and beautiful. My esthetician, Sydney is amazing! She has the most gentle touch and she is a sweetheart. She takes pride in her work and makes me feel and look my best. Sydney is a little magician with getting my brows looking top notch. SPRAY TAN : So I went here to get a spray tan, it was my first time so I wanted to try this place out. I had a girl name Anastasia. The day before my appointment, I exfoliated and shaved (like you're suppose to) so my tan can go on evenly! My appointment was for 1 PM, I got there around 1250.. didn't get seen till roughly 1:20 PM. She instructed me to remove my clothing, which I did and we did the spray tan. Immediately after she was done, she told me to get dressed and walked out the room. When I went out to pay, I told her I had the promo they had going on (check in on Facebook and tag 3 friends), she looked at me with a weird face. Bad vibe I guess? She didn't tell me any aftercare or instructions on what to do. I had to google, call friends, & even call the salon to ask her. My tan was also VERY streaky and just looked nasty all around. Not happy. I'd get another spray tan, but not from her. Maybe I'll try someone else or just another place. read more

Absolutely impressed and happy with my lashes! Leah did an amazing job! I sent an email requesting a refill for my lashes, which Were done at another salon. My lashes were falling off and i needed a refill for an event that I was in town for. Leah called me the following day and was very attentive and knowledgeable. Extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism the owner claims to have. I was sprayed eight days ago and within two days had weird patches missing. I've been being spray tanned for over 5 years and never had this happen. I took photos that day. By yesterday, I looked like I had some weird skin rash. I called to give them the chance of correcting it before just dismissing their business and the girl who answered was great! She apologized and told me the person who sprayed me was new and not very familiar with the process. She advised me on how to get rid of the spray tan (with the mit I purchased from them) and that I could come this morning to have it fixed free of charge. The mit didn't work last night and long story short I called 45 minutes prior to my appointment to ensure that they could still correct their error before driving there for nothing. I did not receive a return call until almost two hours later and then was BLAMED for my tan coming off in patches and told I was going to be charged for not coming this morning. Even though I called and no one had the courtesy to call back in an efficient time frame. Not sure how correcting the spray tan turned into opportunity to charge me but needless to say after the rude comments about my skin, blaming the mess up on me, and horrible job to begin with, I'll just stick with NOLA Spray Tans where the service is professional and the spray tans are flawless. read more

Trash customer service!! Scheduled an appointment online. Appointment confirmed for a different time. I didn't check confirmation email and was too late my card was already charged. I Called to change the appointment and reason but uptown charm Would not refund my money! I would not recommend using the online service or their customer service. One thing I did notice was that all appointment times were fully open. Must not have a good clientele and never will with the way they treat new clients. read more

Very disappointed in the service I received at my last visit. I had a coupon that had been e-mailed to me from Uptown Charm's system that the owner would not allow me to use. She told me the coupon had been emailed to me by mistake, and that it was "only for customers who had not been to Uptown Charm in the past six months." So I guess that was punishment for coming in too often? Had I not been a loyal customer to this place for over a year, this may not have bothered me as much. But after spending $100+ per month here, I would a expect that a one time $20 discount should be no problem in exchange for my business. I want to start this by saying I absolutely loved the service provided by Anastasia, my lashes were great and she was very professional and fun to talk to. I had no problem with her or the service. I have a problem with the cancellation policy. I had to cancel twice because with bills, I was not able to afford my refill at the time. Both times I was charged the full amount to my debit card, both times sending my card into overdraft with the fee for overdraft being $100. So I was charged around $100 for the service plus $100 for overdraft. For someone who expressed to the receptionist that I could not afford to come, it is extremely shitty for them to continue to charge me the full price anyway. I've worked in retail for years, this is not the way to treat customers. read more

I worked here last year so I'm a little biased, but I absolutely love Uptown Charm! Leah is amazing - she's extremely friendly and welcoming, and my lashes have never looked better than when she did them. The spray tans are also top notch - I've gotten at least a few dozen from here and I can't name a single time I ever left looking orange or streaky (which for a fair gal like myself is huge, since even the best spray tan studios will leave me looking a little off at least once or twice). loved the reviews on this place and i booked two spray tans for my vacation/ attending a wedding. even recommended the bride book here as well. i arrived about 20 mins early to my appointment and was told we would be taken back shortly. some other clients showed up late and were taken ahead of us, even though we were on time, even early. we waited about 30 mins past our appointment time until we were taken. i understand having late clients pushes you back, but if we were early, we could've been taken before them. the service was fine and the lady was nice. the bride went the next day and told me she had to wait for 20 mins past her appointment because the employee was on facetime and not acknowledging her. coming out of town on your wedding weekend is stressful enough, and the time waiting pushed her other appointments back as well. we showed up early and were respectful of your time. please do the same for us. read more

This place is so cute! Its a little old house on Magazine on the outside, but the inside is so glam (think sequin check-in desk with glitter counters) and the receptionist was super nice! I had scheduled an appointment on the website that morning, which was so quick and easy. I scheduled with Alexis, who was so sweet and professional. She discussed with me what shade of tan I was looking for, and when I told her I wanted it pretty dark, she told me she would do my tan and if it wasn't dark enough to come back the following day and she would darken it for free. I didn't end up needing to though, because it came out gorgeous! The tan lasted about a week, but probably would've lasted longer if I'd been more careful about moisturizing, since I was at the beach in salt water for several days. I will definitely be back, since this is by far the best airbrush tan experience I've had. I have come here multiple times to get the rapid spray tan and am never disappointed with the results. Appointments are easy to book online and they usually have good availability even if you wait to day of. The workers are all nice and talkative and make the experience not awkward at all. Went here for a full eyelash extension and while it did the job initially for the first few days and no matter how much I took care of them exactly as told they would fall out constantly. I even purchased the recommended items to care for my faux eyelashes. During our conversation there she seemed to not believe what I had to say about myself she was asking me questions like I was being interrogated. The lady doing my eyelashes left an eyelash glued incorrectly making it going into my eye. I had walked out the door just to turn around and my eye was seriously injured. She acted to not care and made it seem I was making a bigger deal than it was and needed to get over it. All I said is one eyelash seems to be out of place and it's hurting my eye and I can't seem to fix it on my own. The worst part of my experience was when all the false eyelashes fell out I realized the worker lady from Uptown Charm cut off all my natural eyelashes. I did notice she was using scissors but I just thought she was cutting the false eyelashes. It has taken me almost a year for my eyelashes to grow back to a decent size. read more

Uptown Charm is my go-to! I mainly receive rapid spray tans which can be rinsed in a couple hours!!! and I'm even tanner the next day. Much higher quality and more convenient than the stand-alone booths like Planet Beach. Courtney does such a great job on my tans and fits me in if I forgot to book online. Then started Botox treatments often at a discount! I love the pop up clothing boutique Southern Lush they've partnered with. Basically all my favorite things in one place :) They're smart about the services they choose to offer and makes them stand out. I went to uptown Charm bc they do novalash. I went for a refill.. the quality seemed fine. I went the following week for a touch up for a more "glam" look. I went on vacation for 3 weeks and when I came back they were all off. I explained to Leah that I didn't apply much make up during my vacay. Leah decided that i needed a full set. Which is fine how ever during my 2 hour session Leah said that my eyes were "jumpy" and asked if I had caffeine. I thought it was more so the pads irritating my eyes. She completed the 2 hour session. And I left. I took a nap and went to work (I'm a health care provider). I ended up in the ER at about midnight my eyes were beyond painful and red. 2 physicians asked if I had pink eye. After my er visit and 3 eye drops, I took pictures and called Leah. She returned my call 15 hours later. She was defensive and actually giggled a few times during our conversation. I explained to her that in addition to the 325 she charged me.. I paid for prescription eye drops and inevitably I would have to get more lashes applied sooner than later. She says "I don't know what you want me to do" and laughed. I ended the call. Please Please ladies be careful before you visit her. I have had lashes for almost 2 years the last place being flair in New York. NEVER have I encountered such poor poor judgment and customer service. During the conversation she says "your a nurse" which I am however I know nothing about applying lashes.. be careful before you go there. Everything that glitters isn't gold.
